I think Ibrahimovic trying to (jokingly) headlock Chiellini after the final whistle had blown says it all ok

Totally...and that punch in the face was the cherry on the cake. And the way he looked after that to him was perhaps even better!

Nah it was just a bit of fooling around, mostly just frustration from Ibrahimovic. There's some history between them too, because they supposedly had a heated argument before Ibrahimovic left Juve last year.

I think he should be nicknamed Ibra Kadabra, for his magical disappearing act.

It was a combination of the history between the teams, how fiery Chiellini was, and, of course, how effectively Chiellini kept Ibra quiet. Those are pretty extraordinary factors.

Do 9 of the 10 people who voted...actually care about how he played, or just think he's a c**t?

Chiellini is a very talented defender... I had suggested last year that he shoudl start playing CB coz he is so much like Materazzi... and now that prediction seems to be comin true, even tho more coz of Juve's defense crisis.

When Materazzi retires, Italy have his clone.

I still remember the wrestling act that Chiellini did with Vieri earlier this season, and now he had an ongoing tussle with Ibra... the kid is not afriad to take on the big physical strikers, and thats a promising sign for Juve and Italy.

Ibra didn't have his best game today, but I guess you can't do magic in every game.

its like its getting used against him that he has performed so well this season. you cant expect him to always perform esp when inter were sitting back alot of this game.

Frankly, I thought Ibra didn't do that poorly, just an off night for him. I was just shocked at how Chiellini, a defender who I rate as ok, was able to not only stop Ibra but get under his skin as well.

Ibra looked miffed, afraid and off his game. Chiellini read the game perfectly. Some of his tackles today were Cannavaro-esque.

Chiellini is gifted. He will take Cannavaro's spot for the Azzurri sooner than later.... my guess is that in 5 years time, it will be Chiellini & Gamberini as Italian CBs, alongside an aging Barzagli.

Beautiful game! Chiellini is improving in leaps and bounds. My gosh! what a job he did today against the in-form Serie A top striker Ibrahimovic. I LOVED the way Chiellini fucked with him throughout the game. You know he was telling him lots of $h!t.

Chiellini was mean, but noble at the same time. Everytime he knocked the $h!t out of Ibra in 50/50 balls, he immediately offered his hand to help Ibra get on his feet. Chiellini reminded me of my central defender playing days. Nasty but noble at the same time. Biggrin

Keep an eye on this "kid", he has the chicanery of Materazzi along with the tenacity of Baresi. <Ale>

That bugger Ibra got the 'special treatment' that Juventus must've planned for him. Great job by Cheillini. Ibra is a big threat & part of the game-plan was to neutralize him which Cheillini did to the best. And satisfying to see that frustrated look on that ungrateful Ibra's face. What did he say before the match, that the jeers will spur him further. Hah...they sure did needle him Very Happy
