If Huntelaar was on 28 he would have been tied with Ronaldo, should be close this year.

lol! Please give up, one Arsenal fan on here (will remain nameless) predicted Van Persie will outscore C Ronaldo this season, now that wont happen. Van Persie should just save himself for the Euro's.

Adebayor still has a chance, put all your eggs in his basket, Says I !

Is he really though? The italian and spanish leagues are behind the prem in games played. I imagine the bundesliga is well behind also.

The Bundesliga season is only 34 games, which counts against anyone in that league. Although if Toni has a prolific run he could maybe work his way into contention. Actually, I just checked, and he almost certainly isn't going to feature. He only has 13 league goals, and there are 13 games left.

Holland has the playoffs Very Happy depends

If Ajax wins the league he will have 7 more games

If they don’t they will go into the playoffs so .. 2 more games , progress from those 2 games a further 2 more (the finals) so then that will be 11 games played.

Despite limiting Huntelaar's chances, im sure you will be rooting for the league right Biggrin It looks like Ajax could well win the title.

So lets say it's 7 games. 1.5 per goal but 3 points behind. With Ronaldo having 10 games left at 2 points per goal.

Huntelaar would need about 16 goals in the 7 games to have a realistic chance which would take him to 63 points. Meaning Ronaldo would need over 10 goals in 10 games to beat that.

But 15+ goals in 7 games is a LOT to ask, maybe Van Basten could have done it i guess...... Biggrin <Ale>

Biggrin Van Basten would. Huntelaar can get 16 goals but its a question of 'will he'.

Not entirely sure, but I' pretty sure the playoff goals in the Dutch Eredivisie do NOT count for the Golden Boot ranking. Only the 34 matches of the regular season.

Indeed, less games and a lower weighing factor = impossible for a Eredivisie striker to win the golden boot.

    Fabiano Sevilla (Spa) 19 38 (2)
