It's incredible that they've only played each other in 5 finals in the last 20 years. Maybe they've stopped doing the old hot ball trick in cup draws.

Hopefully there will be a big fight today, it's the only thing that makes these games interesting.

It was so disappointing that there wasn't a big fight. They haven't had a big one for a while now.

Samaras is shit and I was right all along.

Didnt even get to start this final! Aswell as that he "squandered chances" it seems.

Rangers fooked up again today. Lost a 2 goal lead at Ibrox to Hearts and now Gers fans are calling for the head of Walter Smith and his management team.

Celtic should win the league now, but they are crap too so you never really know.

Now it's Celtic's turn to stuff up. This must be the 2 weakest old firm teams since the Fergie years in the early 80s.

Definitely. When they have to sign Greek players that look like spastics then you know there's problems.

Agreed. It would be refreshing to have a manager with even a modicum of SAFs talent in order to break Rangers' and Celtic's stranglehold on the SPL.

Rangers and Celtic must be two of the most poorly run clubs in world football for the simple reason that they pay considerably more in wages to players who possess the same level of ability as most of the other players in the SPL.

Agree two of the worst Old Firm teams I can remember. Sad thing is Rangers will probably still win the Scottish Cup.

I love how some Rangers fans are realising that they shouldn't have sacked PLG and that Ferguson is useless. It was the fans that demanded that Barry was chosen over PLG.

He could have changed the attitude of Scottish players. Now after McLeish reduced the squad size and budget, Smith has come and increased it whilst buying Lafferty, Edu etc and keeping them on the bench.

Exactly Monty.

PLG would have been the biggest revolution in Rangers' history if Barry Ferguson hadn't forced him out the door.

Shameful that David Murray allowed a spoilt wee shite to force a manager out of the club.

Been reading on some Rangers forums that their fans are fuming with Ferguson because during the Hearts game at the weekend he cupped his ear to the Rangers fans and made a disrespectful gesture to them too.

He thinks he's the main man in Scottish football when in reality he's an average player who has a major attitude problem.

Hope Killie stay up. Just wish you would get rid of sour face. Do you like him as your manager? Who else could you bring in? I'd love to see killie up there challenging alongside Aberdeen, Motherwell, Hearts, DU, and Hibs.

Please, please, please allow one of those sides to knock Celtic and Rangers off of their perches.

Still wish Rangers and Celtic would GTF and allow the teams I mentioned to participate in a competitive league. Think the SPL could be a entertaining league without both of the old firm cause their strategies would change considerably.

Cheers

Not happy with Jeffries at all. He should defo go at the end of the season as we will be lucky to finish 2nd bottom again this year.

This in his own words is the best squad he's ever had at Killie so for us to be 3 points off relegation is shocking.

Some of the blame lies with our idiotic chairman who after last season's 11th place finish gave JJ and Billy Brown 3 year contract entension because we were in the top 3 after 10 games this year. Madness which is now left us unable to sack them.

Most Killie fans are starting to realise that Boyd and Naismith's goals hid our defensive deficiences. Now with them and Nish gone as soon as we lose the 1st goal we lose the game.

For 7 years he has failed to sign a dominant CB who could organise our defence. Pressley, who although very slow can do that and could be the key for Falkirk.

We used to be challenging Hearts, DU, Hibs, Dons and Well but that was under Bobby Williamson when we had one of the meanest defences in the league.

All in all our finances are fucked. £9m in debt falling attendances. If we don't go down this year with the same management team I fear it's only a matter of time.

Agree with you Bulk OFGTF <Ale>

One thing JJ got right the SPL needs to expand before we create an SPL 2

lol! lol! lol!

Ferguson & McGregor have been dropped from tonight's game after getting pissed in the team hotel.

This is great news, finally we have got Ferguson out of the team, hopefully it will be permanent.

I can imagine Paul le Guen having a good laugh about this today.

Fooking idiots. Is it any wonder that Scottish football is so sh1te given the exploits of the national captain?

From top to bottom Scottish football - and its players - are a joke. Continental coaches - cough, Le Guen - must despair at the attitude of Scottish players in general.

Advocaat once said that Scottish players have the same chance as their European peers to make it in the game except for one serious flaw - their attitudes are the worst he ever encountered in his managerial career.

Here is a typical Rangers fan supporting Bazza Ferguson against Le Guen. Le Guen tried to eradicate the attitude problems that blight Scottish footballers. Change was resisted by Barry Ferguson who led a campaign against Le Guen.

Ronald Watterus also intimated that Barry Ferguson instructed Rangers' players to not play properly in order to exert his control over Alex McLeish.

Bazza Ferguson essentially runs Rangers.

Go to 0:35 to see how pathetic Rangers' fans are. Everyone makes excuses for the 'boss' (barry ferguson)...

Well you know they have had enough of Ferguson a lot of them. And i heard today many say they were wrong to dismiss Le Guen's no drinking policy and they can see why he bought certain players and did what he did now, when before he just seemed like a clueless mug.
Ferguson could get away with it at one time as he was a decentish footballer but now it's just some below average yob thinking he can say and do what he likes when the club has 100k+ fans, he'll be gone in the summer.

The really stupid thing is that they are both on the bench for tonight's game. Burley has handled this really badly, they should have been sent home immediately on Sunday, it appears Burley was trying to cover it up until after the game but had to do something when the media found out about it, which they were always going to.

LRD

Yeah have actually seen some things from Rangers fans that suggest that they aren't happy with Ferguson's contribution this season...

Murray

Agree about Burley. So weak and sends a bad message to other Scottish players. Younger guys look up to Ferguson and if they think the national captain can more or less get away with it then it's just not good news.

If only Scottish footballers could act more professionally. Think Scotland would be a decent team, punching above their weight like countries with the same size of population, ie Croatia.

I actually think Burley handled this well. The players were out of order but unlike Boyd they apologised immediately and so were allowed to stay with the squad.

As I've said earlier in this thread and others have noted above the attitude needs to change. Some of the youngsters talk the talk when they start out saying they want to be legends but Maldini and the likes don't keep going by getting pissed on a Saturday.

They've got to realise it's a profession. They should take pride in their performance and that means looking after themselves.

Sad fact is we can't afford to keep excluding players. This should be Ferguson's last campaign anyway. His commitment has always been in question. Started playing for the nt at 19/20 and only has 40 odd caps.

McGregor will always be No 2 to Gordon esp after last night

Still think Burley should have sent them packing despite their apology. Look at the contempt they have for the guy/Scotland setup.

That's from last nights game. Spoilt wee children. Bazza Ferguson wants to control Scottish football.

Hell even his friend, Gordon Smith the main man in Scottish football, has refused to back Burley who, it should be noted, he appointed as national manager.

How anyone can refuse to back Burley over this is disgraceful. It smacks of agendas and doing your mates a favour.

Winkers.

Yeah defo think Smith is looking out for his old pals at Ibrox. What is it with this club hating the national team.

Ferguson - out on the piss before a big match
McGregor - out on the piss before a big match
Boyd - takes the huff because he doesn't get in the team. Keeps quiet when he gets dropped at Rangers.
McCulloch - never going to play anyway but decides he doesn't want to play for Burley.

This is massive news in Scotland - assuming it is definitely true, though it is all over the place up here.

It's the Scottish equivalent of a super high profile England player being transfer-listed by the big 4, ie Gerrard by 'Pool, Rooney by Man Utd, Lampard by Chelsea, etc.

Don't know about McGregor though. Heard he has been transfer-listed too.

According to reports they were going to get away with it but they brought the problem on themselves by getting caught giving the fingers while they were on the bench. The picture of them giving the v sign to whoever was all over the place yesterday in Scotland. This has forced David Murray to intervene apparently.

It basically demonstrates to everyone that Ferguson thinks he's so untouchable and in control that he can give the finger to the Scotland manager and get away with it.

And it shows how deep his influence is when the chairman/director/guy in charge of the Scottish FA refuses to back the national manager over them boozing all night and abusing national manager/country on the Scotland bench.

IMO Gordon Smith - guy in charge of SFA - should resign for refusing to back George Burley over this.

Yeah he back tracked dramitcally yesterday. After the game on Wed he refused to back Burley then yesterday he comes out and says he's happy at Burley's actions. No coincidence Smith's boss George Peat has been highly supportive of Burley and slammed the two players.

Still slightly shocked that Rangers have done this but delighted all the same. Surely there is no way back for Ferguson now. The fans want rid of him, and now Murray and Smith want rid of him.

Where does he go tho ? Back to the Premierhip ? To Zenit to rejoin Advocaat ?

Interesting stuff all the same.

Why on earth does Advocaat still have a hard on for Ferguson? The guy's clearly way past it and would be beyond useless in Russia.

Advocaat should be sacked for gross incompetence if he signs Ferguson.

It's guys like Smith and Ferguson who have destroyed Scottish football. Tossers.
