We are a big team, he loves to play here (yes, that can actually be important these days), but there are a lot of massive clubs interested in signing him for ages, Real Madrid in particular.

FAILED.

You are not a big team.. you aren't a small team either... You are a team between the top 20 and top 30...!

Diego is a good player and perhaps he'll play one day for a real top club!

We are already in the European top 20 as far as the revenues are concerned, we have established ourselves as the number 2 club in Germany, will most probably qualify for the CL for the 5th time in a row, and therefore are the most consistent Bundesliga club after Bayern also. We have a very good squad filled with class players, we have an attacking philosophy and a very good image.

99% of the players who join us like it here, and more importantly, improve their game, so for the vast majority of them, it's a good step in their career to join us. Either they stay here and become club legends, or they move to bigger clubs, because they have attracted their interest with their good performances for us.

We will never be able to compete with the top clubs financially, but we are a big club already, and we are growing. A lot of Werder fans love to delude themselves about this actually, love to belittle their "familial little club" just to have an excuse for failure. Those days are over, if they ever existed.

Jensen was doing some advertising for himself for the #10 position. He is an alternative for that position really, had a very good season after some rather difficult ones, so it's understandable.

Yes, Diego could be more direct sometimes, but he has improved considerably in this respect. If you compare his game today to the first few weeks when he joined us, it's much faster and more direct. Diego has become a more complete, mature and simply better player in Bremen. Before he joined us, you didn't see him backtrack and tackle, for example.

Bremen did him good, and Diego did us good. Like it should be.

And don't forget that we will have a new stadium soon, and therefore improve our revenues even more in the coming years. Werder Bremen is one of the fastest growing clubs in Europe.

Our European record might not be as good as the clubs you mentioned, but financially, we can compete with all of them already. And that's the precondition for us to improve that record in future, which we hopefully will.

FAILURE. Ale

P.S.: To become 'hypeclass' you need to play for clubs which have the most attention by the media. You can be a world class player without playing for the absolute top clubs. That's actually what you Dutchies always tell us, don't you? Very Happy

No No No No No No
WRONG!

Not exactly... We'll never say a player in the Eredivisie IS already World Class...., NEVER! In Nederland the grass is always greener abroad!

We DO hype him though. We tell the rich bastards from England, Italy and Spain he'll become a world class player if he signs for a top club... Those rich bastards like to hear that. They want to hear they can make someone better and so we can get more money out of the transfer...! Wink

3 matchdays to go. It's obvious that we have a couple of good, but no truly outstanding striker. Rosenbergs stats are very good though (especially the assists), he should be an automatic starter. Sanogo, Klasnic or Almeida as his partner, depending on form.

But for Rosenberg to become even better, he needs a class striker as his partner. We definitely need to invest in this area this summer, as I've said repeatedly.

We are heavily linked to Marcelo Moreno from Cruzeiro (Brazil), who is top scorer in the Copa Libertadores currently. We supposedly offered them €8.5m, but they demand €10m.

There are mixed reactions about this. While some say he is great, other like sheva7 believe him to be overrated (sheva7 is usually right when it comes to Brazilian players). Quite a few fans are rather sceptical about us signing another Brazilian (South American) player who has not played in Europe yet. Who can blame them after the Carlos Alberto disaster?

I'd prefer an European striker also, but those who could really strenghten our first XI are usually too expensive (either transfer fees, or wages).

Marko Pantelic would be a good shout though. He'd be cheap, and he scores consistently for a rather crappy Hertha side, for years that is. Could see him blossom in our very attacking system. Werder is a striker's paradise, at least it should be...

We don't need more 'talents' though (Moreno is very young also), we have more than enough of those. Ideally, an experienced, clinical striker who has a good enough technique to fit into our high paced, one touch attacking system.

He was our best striker, and should be an automatic starter. He has been good, but not outstanding (check out the stats I posted earlier to get a picture). He needs a class partner, I think he can still improve his game considerably (has to become more clinical), there is still potential. With a better partner in the attack, I can see him scoring 20 goals a season.

Schaaf could form a great striker out of him, but that needs more time. What I like most about him is that he is not selfish - just look at the high number of assists he had this season.

One goal + assist behind Diego, now that is showing some substance, considering Diego being the golden boy that is some returns.

I’ve always had Rosenberg achieving great things as a player, not sure what his situation for the Swedish national team but he could be their secret weapon at this year’s Euros. From what I have seen of him this season he has matured well, looking more clinical, you are right in saying Bremen needs a dynamic forward to partner him will benefit him + Werder greatly.

It's actually quite a task not to score for Werder, knowing that we are probably the most attacking side on the continent, and strikers get service like nowhere else in the Bundesliga. However, Rosenberg played a pretty good season for us, and I disagree, I don't think that he is an average player at all, don't think that Ajax fan rai agrees with that also. Rosenberg didn't just score quite a few goals and had a lot of assists, but he often scored the important goals as well, often the 1:0.

Schaaf is known for his ability to form players, to improve them the longer he works with them. Rosenberg does have potential, and I can see him become a more complete and clinical striker in future. He needs a class partner though, he is not a born leader in the attack.

HE was hyped like hell (what's new) at Ajax especially by the fans but he never showed it .... f@ck all those misused comment. he got so many chances but he wasted them all plus the fact he is not the most skillful player.
