I am surprised to see this not being mentioned, as well as transfer being discussed - Gourcuff to Lyon for 22m euro is heavily rumoured at the moment.

And Rubin bought Eduardo from Hoffenheim (?) for 20m euro.

I posted about it in the 'Ligue 1' thread yesterday evening. It's more than a rumour he has been at Lyon today ahead of the move.

Despite success on the pitch during the 2009–10 season, Kazim-Richards had an argument with Fenerbahçe fans after being taken off the pitch in a match against İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor.[10] Against Beşiktaş, Kazim-Richards was red carded for swearing at the referee and banned for 4 matches.[11] While serving his ban, on the same night that his team mates lost to Kasimpasa, the media reported Kazim-Richards was out on the town. This report was denied by the Fenerbahçe board who released an official statement. The following day, pictures of Kazim-Richards were released and the Fenerbahçe board rescinded their earlier statement, claiming that Kazim-Richards had lied about his whereabouts which had triggered their denial of the report.[12]

In December 2009, Kazim-Richards was also alleged to be involved in a sex scandal also involving other Fenerbahçe players.[13] A few days later while speeding to get to his team's training session, Kazim-Richards had a car crash during which he had not worn his seat belt and broke his right wrist: Kazim-Richards denies media claims that he was drunk prior to the accident.[14][15] Following these events, the Fenerbahçe board and manager Christoph Daum sought to find an alternative club for Kazim-Richards to join

Competition No

Is that the Russian dude. I remember quite a long time P.S.G played against a Moscow team and Semak scored a hatrick against them, so right after the game P.S>G bought him. He did absolutely fuk all for Paris (1 goal in 26 games) and was sold to another Moscow team.

I am sure the management of Paris will learn their mistake and never again buy a player because he had one great game.

He sounds a bit like a trouble maker. He's half british half turkish? Played for Toulouse last year. Didn't do anything special.

I think this slid under the radar a bit...Besiktas have apparently signed Manuel Fernandes from Valencia. No idea of the fee or whether it's a loan. They also signed two other Portuguese this January: Simao and Almeida.

With Guti and Quaresma being signed last summer, I hope they have enough defenders already! And that their coach speaks Portuguese.

Marseille have confirmed a deal to sign Morgan Amalfitano from Lorient.

Amalfitano, 26, is out of contract at the Stade du Moustoir and will formally sign on Thursday when the transfer window opens.

"It gives me great satisfaction to join this great club," Amalfitano told Marseille's official website. "This is a big step for me and today I have great pride."

PSG have signed French striker Kevin Gameiro for €11m in a deal which could possibly rise to €15m. A few days earlier PSG secured the signing of Nicolas Douchez (most clean sheets in Ligue 1 for the last three seasons) to replace the retiring Gregory Coupet.

Anyone know the situation with Lodeiro? Ajax seem to have a plethora of AM's and I imagine he is about 4th choice in that position. I think he is very talented however. Has he been linked with a move away?

Surprising transfer between Polonia Warsaw and Trabzonspor - Turkish club bought Adrian Mierzejewski for... 5.25 mln euro! I admit he is pretty good, but for player leaving polish league this kind of amount has to be a shock Yikes

So I guess this player must be pretty good, well I hope so. Where do Turkish teams find all this money? I bet they are own by rich dudes. Galatasarai seem to have lots of cash to spend. They want to buy half of the Lyon's team.

Fernando Muslera has also agreed to move to Galatasaray. How was he rated in Serie A? I thought he had a good WC last summer and even played a blinder against Brazil the other day.

PSG certainly mean business for next season. Today they signed Jeremy Menez from Roma (€8m) & Saint Ettiene midfielder Blaise Matuidi (€7.5m rising to €10m) on three-year contracts.

From what I saw last season he wasn't doing anything special for Lazio, for sure nothing compared to his heroics against Brazil. I think Galatasaray paid over 10m euro for him though.
