How many corners did the refs missed? 6?

How many glasses of champagne has Fergie downed by now?

1? 7? 15? I'm gonna go with 10 and he's just about to kick Phil Neville's boots again. ok

Why not Ballack? He is obviously the best... (although he will miss against Holland next month)

Ricardo, the most funny thing is that you actually believe the Cr@p you are writing.

Ballack should have taken the last penalty, Terry is the captain and wanted to "take the responsibility".

Ballack will not even take the last penalty for Germany, because Holland will have missed three before it's his turn. Very Happy

Ronaldo maybe the best player around at the moment But Chelsea's goal came from Essien pushing forward and losing his marker Ronaldo. So Ronaldo really had a average game in the final.

I may be wrong, but isn't Terry usually okay at pens, taken them in a couple of shootouts before?

It's Ronaldo we should be laughing at. that was terrible, from a team's #1 penalty-taker.

Terry also slipped taking it his left foot seemed to lose its grip.

ok

He was VERY lucky that both missed penalties didn't cost United in the end. I just knew that he would bottle it again when he stopped (illegally) during his run. Again.

I remember him scoring for England v Portugal at Euro 2004. Don't think he's taken one for Chelsea in a match before.

The one I'm more annoyed with is Anelka. Little power, nice height for the keeper and didn't deceive him with the placement. But, it's a penalty shoot-out in a CL final. How anyone can be blamed is beyond me. Ale

When the stutter didn't work I knew it was over. Didn't work against Valdez eitherr. Needs to go back to straight running.

it was the sheer SLOWNESS of the stutter which amazed me. he pretty much just stopped and then did a crappy short run up penalty. normally when he cheats, he does it quite well and sends the keeper diving with his stop.

He wouldn't have missed if he hadn't slipped. VDS was already beaten in the other corner. Terry's right was left completely open.

Very tough luck.

Nobody else slipped

He slipped because he was the wrong person to be taking the pen because

a) he is a hoofer
b) he only ever uses his head
c) he is an idiot for trying to take the glory of winning the cup
d) he has the balance of an elephant which is why he is a defender

WHY WHY WHY did he do it Question cyclops

Tevez's penalty was a cracker big circle run up and nicely placed.

Gray made some comment about taking on the responsibility because Drogba had been sent off blah blah......but if even Chelsea fans think Terry pushed himself forward just so that he could be a hero..... Doh

Nah, he is a fan favourite already. He's a team player and normally pretty composed on the ball, so that's why I think he took it. That and the fact that Drogba was sent off.

Then the post, crossbar, clear pen not given and john bloody terry screwing it up when chelsea had it in the bag, and united somehow end up winning

Biggest ref mistake was not sending off Ferdinand for a certain second yellow after a dangerous high foot.

Boring final but it was to be expected. Best player? I think Lampard did good but there was a lack of good performances really. Carrick and Rooney were bad for man utd. Rooney disapeared while Ronaldo apeared once in a while.
