It will be only until Clichy comes back in a few weeks, so clichy can then establish himself at left back.

Gallas meanwhile will form a formidable partnership with Toure.

I am sure Wenger told this to Gallas when he signed.

True Frank, but in theory he was never going to play LB for us this year (played there in 04-05 'cause Bridge got injured - f'cking Shearer! Grr just after the transfer window had closed so we had nobody) and last year was imo, 'cause del horno was not good enough for the EPL, and we were waiting for Bridge to come back (should never have let him go) from injury and to full fitness.

I'm sure it's only a temporary switch, but it is strange (and in a way funny) to read.

gallas is a moody girl. After two games at left back he will be stomping about and threatening this and that and until Henry allows gallas to touch him in his 'special places' he will stay in a mood. Of course wenger will be in nearby cupboard filming the lot.

Did anyone see that the share price of general motors fell by more than .3% for the third day running today? I am concerned by this downward spiral and fear that it could lead to a resession which could -in time- cross the atlantic and engulf our brittle economy forcing us to become more euro central.
    Is that better?

He'll be wishing he never left. Wont be so straightforward for Gallas, he'll have to share with Cole's mobile

Just letting people know that Gallas will almost certainly make his debut at left back tomorrow. From Wenger's press conference:

'Djourou is OK and William will play at left back. He does not care where he plays, he has said that many times before, and at the moment we do not have a left back available. Justin Hoyte is not a left back, Flamini is not comfortable there at all. We have a problem so he plays there.

William’s best position is centre back. He can play either side but if you ask him he will tell you his best position is centre back. But we are short at the back and on the left especially at the moment.'
