Beautiful Goals

Post by The Bulk on Mon Mar 02, 2009 5:31 pm

After watching Mascara's effort against Palermo the other day I started searching for other quality goals.

Sure I've heard his name before. Can he play for a bigger club?

Is he like an Italian Matthew Le Tissier? Stays with the wee guys but def good enough for the big teams???

Cheers

any more beauties?

Simon Cox's goal is probably best I've seen this year. Second goal in this vid.

No surprise the top 10 is packed with FC Groningen goals :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Adnhmm7YDno

IMO the number 5 goal should be #1 ok

Might as well have posted the FC Groningen top 5 instead of a Eredivisie top 10 Wink

@ QE - Mascara scored a belter away to Inter in 06/07.

Edit Doh That's the goal you've included !

The Simon Cox goal wouldn't look out of place at Copa America.

Lovely finish from the Heerenveen striker. He had so much to do before the finish - and what a finish it was. Exquisite. Who is he? Paulo Henrique - cool got it from Fey and other post.

Think Pierre might like him? Good technique.

Thanks

Rai

I like the look of Dembele. Will he eventually move to a different league, say EPL, Serie A etc?

Apparently Man City & Arsenal have been keeping tabs on him; whether or not this supposed interest develops into a potential transfer Im not sure.

Talk about praise - FC Groningen goalkeeper Luciano played with Dembele at Germinal Beerschot and said: "He's a class player. Next season, Dembele will be ready for the absolute top.

"Manchester United, Real Madrid or Barcelona. Eidur Gudjohnsen plays for Barcelona, who is really no better than Dembele. On the contrary, Dembele is better than the Icelander."

Oh wait there is a DMC for Standard that is meant to be really good prospect. All the big clubs are keeping an eye on him. New Vieria or something...

Vertonghen, Fellaini & Vermaelen also. Belgium does have a good new generation of players. This probably is the best generation since the 1980s (in terms of talent & potential, I know they havent done anything on the international stage yet).

That was the Stoke game at the weekend. Kinda got overshadowed by the fact they got 2 late goals and pegged it back.

I always found this an incredible goal :

Makaay is in the air and his to kick the ball laterally with the side of his boot, you have to have perfect ability and an even better timing to pull this off ok

Mirallas as well could go on to be a good player.

Dont think Martins (i know the spellings wrong) or Lombaerts have been mentioned. Although last i heard, Lombaerts was out with a serious injury i think.

And Pocognoli and Defour.

Good player but not what we need. Also, still inconsistent so could do well to stay at AZ for a few more seasons as he develops as a player.
