    Best goal poacher
    Best manager
    Best keeper
    Best defender

I don't really know anyone before 1990 of course, but I'd say Juninho probably is the best I've seen in my lifetime, closely followed by an at his prime Del Piero.

If Van Hooijdonck does not make the top 5, I don't want to see the list....it's as simple as that Ale

He won an entire fucking Uefacup *campaign* singlehandedly based on his superb freekicks !

No one else can make such a claim Erm

(where's EMP's favourite manager on that list btw, he wasn't bad either)

No Dutchie in the top 10 is a disgrace, and Ronaldo isn't even the third best free kick taker currently playing, let alone of all time.

Roberto Carlos only scored 2 direct free kicks in his international career unless I'm mistaken.

Indeed, Van Huouijgdonk is probably the best I've seen. I dunno about winning the UEFA cup singlehandedly off the back of them, but he did score some stupendous goals from set pieces.

He DID win it singlehandedly!! Yeah, we had RVP and a young JDT and that team was quite good. But the bulk of it was scored by him!

Now I'm not saying he was the best, but 27 is too low tbh.

Pierre van Hooijdonk was awesome in your Uefa Cup run. If I remember correctly he hit two almost identic freekicks. Also scored on Buffon the following year. JDT when he was still quite good and better then VDV ever was. Razz

Great video...1:20 and 1:30 are particularly awesome Very Happy

Seems like a lot of teams have used the diagonal passes to a man creeping around the wall.

But where's Ronaldinho's "pass" through the legs of the Werder Bremen defensive wall? That was pure genius Ale

Free kicks use to be *so* much more imaginative. The one were 3 players run over the ball is hilarious.

No we just have some conte (ronaldo) coming up and blasting it as hard as he can at the wall.
