    It's hard to do a top 10, keepers are judged on consistency, you need to see them alot to make a fair judgement. Green seems good, but so does Kirkland until you see him fuck up, maybe i've just missed Greens fuck ups.

    Schwarzer is awesome. Easily the most underrated goal keeper over the last few years..finally getting the credit he deserves this season(after a move down South..strange that innit).

    Nope it's a genuine opinion.

    Absolutely overrated, glorified 5-a-side 'keeper and the only constant factor in the gash toon defences over the last decade. Fuck, even Titus Bramble looks a decent defender nowadays, because he's got a decent keeper behind him.

    Wasn't that long ago that Dunne was getting praise for turning his career around and he & Micah Richards looked like a future gem of a defensive partnership, when it was Hart behind them... now look at them.

    Its as simple as this..Given is a very good keeper, and in the top 10 in this league. I still cant believe people use this bullshit "oh he only looks good because of the shit defence" which is slow turning into "its a shit defence because of Given" nonsense..whilst Spanish Given is over in Madrid, leaking goals left right and centre and he gets "oh but look how shit their defence is, no wonder he lets in so many"..hasnt this guy had a WPOTY defender in front of him? and at some point Samuel? and alongside the WPOTY defender hasnt he had Pepe? Some Portugese c**t everyone creams over?

    You could say it was a bad patch of form, because both of them weren't playing like that under Sven, they could've easily regained it.

    No chance of that happening now with the leprechaun who super-glues his boots to the line backing them up...

    For the record, I don't wank over Cassilas either. But he at least does leave his line and challenge forwards who are bearing down on him.

    Julio Cesar & Buffon are still the best 2 IMO.

    Not many of them have looked better without Given whilst still playing in the same side as they were before Given left though.

    Surprised not a lot of people has Jussi higher, considering his exploits with Bolton, one of the best shot stoppers in the league ok

    Ive always said Jussi was a somewhat overrated keeper ok Always said to be better than Schwarzer when he never was.

    Green has saved our ass on many occasions...he's been like it for the past two and a half seasons now...how he isn't starting more games for England I'll never know.

    I think people have realised how good Schwarzer is not because he's down south, but because of the mediocrity that's been in Boro's Goal this season.

    Also notice how good Aaron Hughes looks with a proper GK behind him compared to his Newcastle days... Whistle

    I hope we tie him down to a longer contract. He's one of the best and most popular players at the club. He's not old for a keeper either. I think he's only about 29?

    Our keepers are still alright..Turnbull was excellent at the start of the season and there's still never been a reason for why he was dropped. just rumours that he had a fallout with Southgate...he was being tipped for an England call up at the time!

    Brad Jones has surprisingly done a decent job too..

    Its just the defence, its fucking rubbish.

    I doubt it...Boro's keepers haven't looked too bad. Their defence has been awful though, and they've had toruble up front, and creating. Tuncay is running a one man show sometimes, but has nothing to help him.

    It's a shame Boro don't have a keeper like Sir Robert Green though...
