Barnetta is undergoing surgery and will be out for the ENTIRE year... we'd better not lose Ballack now!

Diego to Atletico is close. Hleb is being linked to Wolfsburg as a replacement.

Merte is off to Arsenal , it seems

Wolfsburg are no longer interested in Ballack because of his private life and the media circus this would attract

We have an abundance of central defenders now and can really do with some cash. In that respect, it's good to see this transfer done. Best of luck Per and thanks for everything.

Papiss Demba Cissé (26) to remain in Freiburg and not leave for Newcastle. Sunderland were also interested apparently.

Quality striker who'd be worth every penny. Freiburg demand €15m, Newcastle supposedly offered €10m. I read somewhere that Sunderland did offer €15m, but Freiburg have now decided to keep him because his goals are so important for them to remain in the league.

On the other hand, it's the 2. Liga, so it should be easy enough to avoid.

Patrick Helmes will definitely leave Wolfsburg. It'll be either Sunderland, Evian or even Köln. He'll be a bargain for €2.5m IMHO, despite his injury proneness.

This may help - it's the DFB's "transferible" list. Apparently anyone not on this list, cannot move to or from a German club today.

+++ 11.15 Uhr: Klopp erklärt BVB-Stars für unverkäuflich +++

http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/557228/artikel_transferticker_dfl-gibt-transferliste-heraus.html

Klopp actually confirms the bid, but says that he didn't even think about it and that all Dortmund key players are not for sale.

That's true, as I wrote earlier, but only for players who want to move to the Bundesliga (or from one Bundesliga club to another). For players who move from the Bundesliga to other leagues, the respective regulations of those leagues count.

It's also possible to get an exception from the DFL and add players later, but those are rather rare. One thing is for sure though: After midnight tonight, all transfer activity is over.

Yeah, a shame, but he has to take most of the blame himself. Should have stayed in Bremen, and more importantly, should have never let his dodgy, greedy father ruin his career (his 'agent').

It was extremely difficult for Wolfsburg to find a new club for him (they wanted to get rid of him after his antics last season) because of his ridiculously high wages, amongst the highest in the league. That's what you get when you let that retard Dieter Hoeness manage your club. The dream team of Dieter Hoeness and McClaren. Ale

Well, Kicker have excellent sources at various clubs. Arsenal supposedly made that bid 'during last week'. Don't know why Watzke denies it, their sporting director Zorc didn't confirm it directly, but said that there was / is "serious interest in Götze from pot1 (CL) teams". Arsenal is a pot1 team. And now Klopp.

Whatever though, Arsenal or anyone else could have bid €100m and the transfer wouldn't have happened. Not just because Dortmund won't sell, but more importantly, Götze himself doesn't want to leave.

Werder Bremen have poached 18 year old fullback Florian Hartherz from Wolfsburg. Hartherz won the German U19 championship with Wolfsburg last season and is a German U19 international.

Good signing I reckon, should strengthen our second team and has the potential to make the first team in future, especially if you consider that the LB position has been our achilles heel traditionally.

4:30 PM BST Turkish giants Besiktas have announced official negotiations with Schalke over the possible loan of Edu. The Brazilian striker famously scored in S04's 5-2 win over Inter at San Siro earlier this year, but has since struggled for playing time.

Again, players can leave the Bundesliga to other leagues until midnight. However, transfers to the Bundesliga or domestic transfers need to be finished in 15 minutes (including all formalities faxed to the DFL).
