Bent is a useful player at times, but very limited, however Pav makes us play 50 times better as a team, more creative and can score goals....I will also most definetly have him ahead of Huntelaar...

I have to say whenever i've seen Pav he looks like a donkey and a pretty poor footballer, add to that his poor scoring record and you have my opinion.

That would be up there with a Raul - Owen partnership in terms of dynamism.

COTR Strikes cheers

The partnership wouldn't fail because of Bent's lack of workrate. The issue is that they are both finishers rather than creators.

Bent has more to his game than Huntelaar though.

Well you must have seen the wrong games. When we play well, keep the ball well and look threatening upfront, it is either due to Modric or Pav. I simply don't give a shit how many goals Bent has scored, when we look utter devoid of creativity and lacklustre upfront. Pav simply put makes the team play well and more so than Bent. He just needs some consistency and more backing from Harry. Ask any number of our fans and we will say the same..Pav is better than Bent. But having Bent is useful as a third/fourth choice stiker I guess...

Put it this way Pot

I know much more about Liverpool than you do

You know much more about Newcastle than I do

Deano and Dick know much more about West Ham than the rest of us

Now just to follow this theme, if the Spurs fans who watch every minute of their own games want to say that Pav makes them play better than Bent who only has goal stats and subsequently MOTD to back him up then that is good enough evidence for me

Cheers Pot <Ale>

The love will return, no doubt about that. Here we have an irish forward who isnt scoring enough goals but boy does he sometimes look good with the ball at his feet. He's a Spurs fans wet dream.

Coop and I are probably closer together on our opinions of Babel than you think Lrd. But to answer your question you should obviously take my opinion over his. Just like you should take his over mine with Stuart Downing. He watches the guy every week, we just comment on the little bits we see here and there.

It's also relevant that for teams outside the top four we don't see enough of the games to be able to be confident that an opinion is 'spot on'. Players in the top 4 are subject to far more exposure than at any other club. Kimmy is talking about Pav being shit but has probably only seen him play about 3 games. Zack and T/S have no doubt watched almost every minute he has played for them. Their opinion holds more weight ok
