Firstly ( even with the lack of money ) Buy:

    . Defender
    . Striker
    . Inrease squad depth

To have a chance of winning everything again, we need Two signings a midfielder and a left winger.

Its seems as if JDS will be given a chance to prove himself while kieta and yaya is away at the ACN, so we won't be buying a midfielder. Thiago is better

LW-Saurez/Robinho, that has been the rumor for months now, would be happy with anyone of them.

I'd love to see this at some stage this season:

    --------Totti-----Toni------
    Menez---------------Vucinic
    ------De Rossi---Pizzarro-----

Would any of the Germans be able to tell me how much Hollywood would want for Toni?

Apparently we have £25m so I'm hoping we spend £17m on a couple of players from Partizan Belgrade, £5m on a striker from the Norwegian first division and use the last £3m to finance dodgy penalty decisions.

In all likelyhood though we'll end up signing Mario Melchiot and another left back.

Could do with a proper left back. Arbeloa is fine although if we are against a team that pressures a lot he gets nervous with the ball in his left foot. Still, I can't think of anyone who would be eligible for both league and CL.

You think Ranieri will ever have the balls to play that?? Spalletti would have, for sure, but Ranieri??

Are there any other leagues in which players who have played more than 5 league matches with one team are ineligible to play with another team in that league? Or is that just LFP?

Perrotta is undroppable and rightly so. For the sheer excitement it would bring I'd love to see that line up, but it would be defensive suicide provided that only De Rossi would even think about defending out of those 6 guys.

I remember Spal playing menez-Totti-Vucinic-Taddei, literally a 4-2-4 against Genoa and we got mauled. Not a good idea but it would provide a nice plan B for Ranieri when we need a goal at some point this season - I cant see a line up with Toni, Totti, Vucinic, De Rossi, Menez and Pizzarro not scoring a goal!

Possibly a left footed left back who can attack and defend. Also somebody to replace Alonso because I don't have faith that he will be fit all season long. Ledesma has been frozen out at Lazio and is quality enough to lead a big team. He would likely prefer sitting on the bench at Real to not doing anything at Lazio. He could probably start the homes where we need to keep the ball and he is good enough defensively to play alongside Alonso. Would be able to play in Cl aswell plus we could get him cheap since im Lazio might let him go for a smaller fee then if he was playing. Ultimately im not sure we need more players but rather some good and consistent coaching.

Otherwise Liverpool would almost be very smart to get hold of him since he is in the Alonso mould. Much more so then Aquilani anyway. Benitez raided the wrong Rome club for the wrong playmaker. Whistle

Ledesma is very inconsistent. He'd be MOTM in the derby and then not show up at all in a home game against Bologna.

Crying or Very sad It's so hard to find left footed left backs of high quality. My pick would be Vargas. He could intercept, press and tackle as well as pass, hold possession and make off the ball runs. He would be cup-tied plus he would be willing to play KO stages for Fiorentina too. But if we are to break the market, we better get special quality than end with second rate LBs like Marcelo (not a bad footballer) & Drenthe.

It's ok, Ledesma is in the "All-Super" team. Wink

I remember advocating the signing of Capdevila when he was available on a free a few years ago. He would have been perfect. Not sure about Vargas, he plays mostly in midfield these days. I wouldn't mind Fernando Navarro from Sevilla but again he isn't eligible for either league or CL. Filipe Luis? Not eligible for the league. Same for Canella.
