Post by Ä on Thu May 19, 2011 10:14 am

it's a pity that Götze is merely 18 years old,

but that we already have to think of writing him off, if he comes up with drivel like above Yikes

(published in the current Sportbild or Kicker)

STILL

ALL hope is NOT lost

here's an EXCELLENT interview with HUMMELS

who really has LEGEND written all over him

http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fussball_bundesliga/artikel_406611.html

he is clearly 100% in the Sammer camp: "players should become more selfish" Ale

VERY CLEVER stuff also on the importance of playing in a "intakte Mannschaft"

which really makes EVERYBODY look good

it's 100% the opposite of what Löw has practised in the past, with his at times ridicules rotation (or rather his fanatical desire to try out new players , making it impossible for a team to get FORGED)

Hummel's comments should make some on here THINK a bit harder about their BUNDESLIGA team of the season as well

when a team has momentum and is flying you can basically throw anybody in and they will look good, Hummels seems to say

Kagawa, Götze, Kuba, Schmelzer, Sahin...

but the real criteria for quality or achievement are how you perform when everything seems to be going against you, when you are unsettled

ie

the Bundesliga player of the season should NOT be Hummels , nor should it be Sahin

but rather the title should go to

Gomez

he had a manager who told him at the beginning of the season he was merely the FOURTH striker and "It may be better if you just leave"

he had a board that started to question his quality via the media (Hoeness)

he had THREE strikers ahead of him

then two wingers who refused to pass the ball to him because they tried to finish moves themselves

the fans and media started to wonder whether Bayern might be a step too high

NO Nationalmannschaft where he could recharge his batteries: in fact, nowadays the fans just whistle when he steps onto the pitch

and a TOTALLY different system to the one played at Stuttgart

YET

he ended up becoming the top goalscorer in the Bundesliga and in the CL (goals per game)

EASILY : Player of the SEASON and another REAL LEGEND Ale

future best STRIKER in the WORLD ( you heard it here first)

-----------

anyway, the future is looking brighter by the day for the Mannschaft

because sooner rather than later , Löw will HAVE to feature real LEGENDS like Gomez and Hummels

in other words

sooner rather than later

the Sammer revolution will eat Löw from BELOW with guys like Gomez, Hummels and even to a less extent Neuer, Khedira

(pity about Götze, Lahm, Mertesacker...)

cheers Ale

Because Löw has never been accused to hold too long onto his favs despite their dreadful league form? scratch

Löw puts as much emphasise on team building as Klopp. Löw got rid of rotten apples like Frings, just as Klopp replaced a proven but lazy goalscorer (Petric) with a completely unknown but infinitely better team player from Chile (Barrios).

when a team has momentum and is flying you can basically throw anybody in and they will look good, Hummels seems to say

Kagawa, Götze, Kuba, Schmelzer, Sahin...

Hummels is right. But it doesn't take a genius to understand that along with talent, individual performances depend on the support from other players, as well as on the environment in which they are. Sahin looks like a world beater in the BVB set-up for example, whilst for Turkey he has been thoroughly average, to an extent that he isn't even first choice under Hiddink. That all doesn't change the fact that he was superb in the league for us and therefore deserves his spot in the team of the season line-up. Ale

but the real criteria for quality or achievement are how you perform when everything seems to be going against you, when you are unsettled

AGENDAS AGENDAS AGENDAS

So the wingers refused to pass the ball to him? How is it then possible that Ribéry accumulated 17 assist in 25 games, and Robben 10 in 14 games? Not to mention that Müller added a further 13 assists to the tally. Kudos to Gomez, he proved his coach and his critics wrong but to say he did it against all odds without the support of his team mates is complete and utter nonsense. Doh

Fair enough if you think that he deserves to take the player of the season award. For me there hasn't been a clear stand-out player this season. Sahin looked like one in the first half of the season but he faltered too much in the second. Gomez hasn't been prolific enough in the games that mattered the most IMO. I therefore picked Hummels because he has been the most consistent performer this season, and because I am obviously biased. Ale Biggrin

that is NOT fair

the current Barca lot have grown together FOR YEARS AND YEARS

in today's fast paced football world this kind of continuity at THIS level is UNHEARD of

and almost impossible to REPLICATE

as von Bommel said soon after joining Bayern

he had NEVER experienced the kind of PRESSURE to win EVERY SINGLE GAME as in Munich

Barca is that rare club where you can be under the impression that you already play at the biggest club in the world, yet still don't have to win every match (not least because with Real there is another MEGA club in the league)

the closest thing to Barca in the Bundesliga would be Dortmund, now

BUT NO Dortmund player (with the possible exception of Grosskotz) would think it did not get any better

salary-wise, image-wise, title/CL-competitive wise...

hence, Sahin leaving

next year Dortmund will lose Barrios and Subotic

the year thereafter Hummels

and soon after that Götze and Kagawa

------------

you can see how brilliant Messi is or was when he played for Argentina at the World Cup

the same would apply to Iniesta or Xavi

put either of them into a team like Chelsea , Inter or Bayern, and they would be not HALF the player they now are at Barca

and THEN I want to see how a Xavi manages to forge a place in a hoofing team like Chelsea when Terry and Lampard make perfectly clear who is the boss

----------

anyway

THIS is for blut, who seems to think "vocal leadership" is obsolete these days

latest news from VfB Stuttgart

spox reports that Bobic has just sacked the goalie-coach , who produced the likes of Hilde, Ulreich...

arguing, the club needs a coach who creates REAL CHARACTERS (Typen)

cheers

Sebastian RODE

the 20 year old Eintracht Frankfurt up-coming superstar

who has already scored against Bayern and Dortmund, I believe, despite being a DEFENDER Yikes

just produced the 300 km/h SERVE that blut and allez will not be able to RETURN

the lad believes that one of the reasons Frankfurt got relegated is that they did not have enough LEADERS

who , he claims, are all-important for a successful team

Laugh

ie

the KID pretty much says the same as Löw lover-boy Träsch, who even wants to be put

"an die LEINE"

lol!

considering this is the same stuff Schweini said when he WAS 20 or so, blut and allez REALLY should concede defeat ASAP

Ale

brilliant stuff also from Beckenbauer, Magath, Hitzfeld und Sammer

in the latest Sportbild

http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fussball_bundesliga/newspage_423875.html

cheers

they all rubbish the flat-hierarchy nonsense at Bayern/the Mannschaft/German football

and call for the return of the LEADER

Beckenbauer: " Lahm will NEVER be a Matthäus"

Laugh

in fact, Beckenbauer goes on to say that Schweini and Lahm may very well be world-class, but LEADERS they are NOT, and NEVER will be

Ale

considering their sheer inability to LEAD, Bayern RELY on 11 players becoming LEADERS

der Kaiser says the other clowns have to HELP Lahm and Schweini and start wearing "INVISIBLE ARMBANDS"

Laugh

Hitzfeld AGREES with regards to Bayern

saying that when Bayern are NOT number ONE in the table, the team hierarchy crumbles

das "Mannschaftsgefüge" bricht zusammen

ie

pretty much what von Bommel and Robben said

a LEADER is only needed when things start to go PEAR shaped

the ENTIRE last season was a flop and the alleged leaders were invisible

---------

then Magath, the BEST MANAGER in the WOLRD right now, chips in

and RAVES about BALLACK

saying , he made a mistake by not joining him at Schalke

Magath insists every team needs one or two real leaders like Ballack

Ale

http://sportbild.bild.de/SPORT/bundesliga/vereine/vfl-wolfsburg/2011/06/29/felix-magath/mitleid-mit-michael-ballack.html

as if THAT was not enough

Sammer GETS VOCAL as well

again, he rubbishes the concept of FLAT-hierarchies and says they analysed ALL the successful European/German teams of the last 15 years

and they ALL had a strong hierarchy/leaders

Ale

even the current Spanish World Champs

he is now trying to teach the current DFB coaches about hierarchy and structure but has discovered that some of the younger clowns no longer understand the concept

Laugh Doh

Sammer distinguishes between three types of players

leaders: like Ballack or now Khedira

technically strong individuals: like Özil

and

team-players: presumably people like Merte

with regards to Khedira Sammer says that the lad has leadership written all over him and showed it all the time at Stuttgart

BUT

that the boy has NOT demonstrated his ability to lead for the Mannschaft YET AT ALL Ale

the assumption being that Löw is so keen on FLAT-hierarchies and players without personalities that Khedira cannot or does not want to STAND OUT

Sammer also says that today's player are too streamlined, mostly because of their agents who advise on NOT doing/saying anything controversial

a LEADER HAS to burn his fingers from time to time though and address unpopular stuff as well, Sammer points out

a lot of the criticism seems to be directed at Lahm , even if the good red head does not mention his name

--------------

NOTE though

that we have NOT won the BATTLE against flat-hierarchies yet and that the FEMINISATION of German football is still wide-spread

the CANCER is NOT removed

one of the stars of our U-17 WC team has a bizarre hobby

he is the HAIRDRESSER of his team-mates

http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussball/dfb-team/1106/Artikel/bvb-talent-koray-guenther-auf-mario-goetzes-spuren-deutschland-usa-achtelfinale.html

Laugh Doh

also

people like Westermann are still around

the former Schalke/HSV captain just admitted that the captaincy might have been TOO much for him and probably distracted him/made him tense up

just like Hiztelsperger was overwhelmed by the task at Stuttgart , Lahm is at Bayern and Neuer was at Schalke

but the bubble is bursting EVERYWHERE Ale

---------

as if we still needed any ammunition to finish off the hippie vision of football

that our friends allez and blut so embrace

Scolari, the BRASILIAN World Cup winning coach now told 442

that he prepared his samba boys for World Cup glory in 2002

by reading them chapters from "The Art of War"

he would also photocopy pages of the book and slide them under the doors of his players as bed-time reading

Laugh

so REALLY

blut and allez are resoundingly DEFEATED me thinks

BUT

should some of their organs still twitch

let us ram a wooden pole into their hearts and sprinkle them with garlic

the WOMENS Fed Cup team from Germany , that recently clobbered the US 5:0

and will soon have 3 ladies in the top 20, probably also top 10

is MORE MANLY than Lahm, Merte, Friedrich and Hitz put TOGETHER

to get their their testosterone levels up, they watch ICE-hockey and Rocky MOVIES

Laugh

our current FOOTBALL ladies

train martial arts and BOXING

whereas Merte preferred Zivildienst over Military Service and drives a VW Golf

Laugh

Maria Riesch, the best FEMALE skier in the world, is a SPEED junkie and obsessed with her sports car and maxing it out on the Autobahn

lol!

and Julia Görges is a HUGE fan of BIATHLON, the most MILITARY sport of them all

SOON

EVERYBODY in the Vaterland will realise that a MIXED Mannschaft would be stronger than an ALL-MALE Mannschaft

Yikes

unless

Sammer, Magath, Freund, Hrubesch, Bobic and Co

can REVERSE the feminisation of the Vaterland

wahre G

Allez les rouges wrote:Outdated, clichéd and long discredited opinions

I don't get you allez

what on earth is OUTDATED or CLICHED about 20-something kids like RODE, Träsch, Schweini (a few years back)

saying

that based on their experience

young players NEED experienced players and LEADERS to guide them and give a team structure ?

Träsch, for instance, is a LÖW protege, and almost certainly aware of all those flat-hierarchy (Löw vs Sammer) discussions

yet

he still goes PUBLIC

and analyses the VfB season, concluding they lacked EXPERIENCE and LEADERSHIP

it's not outdated or cliched; it's PRAGMATIC, honest and SMART

and our LADIES doing exactly the same , embracing an almost MARTIAL attitude to sport that Löw/blut... so HATE

shows that "outdated", "cliched" approaches to sport seem to be uniquely SUCCESSFUL

whereas MODERN ones are SENSATIONALLY UN-successful

cheers

in this context, the success of DALLAS is HUGELY interesting

MANY people/experts in the NBA felt that the Mavericks were simply TOO OLD to win a tea-pot

yet it was exactly those VETERANS, as they called themselves, who carried the day

Dallas even clobbered the highly fancied THUNDER who at times, had an average court AGE of almost TEN YEARS less than Dallas

yet

Dallas EMBRACED THREE key concepts that Sammer, Magath and BAllack would all agree with

a) a STRONG hierarchy with a CLEAR LEADER: in fact, Dirk was not only THE Franchise player, he was THE clutch-player, THE inspiration and almost THE PLAYER-COACH in one; a bit like Ballack in 2006

b) an almost BRUTAL submission to the MANNSCHAFTS-GEDANKE; which sounds like contradicting the LEADER principle, but it does not; Dirk was THE STAR, but did EVERYTHING for the TEAM and the others followed 100%

c) as coach Carlisle said after the title win; they did it OLD-SCHOOL through GRIT, DETERMINATION, FIGHT ,a NEVER-GIVE-UP attitude

this had precious little to do with TACTICS, contrary to what some of our NBA friends on here want to make us believe

ie

Dallas were UN-fancied like few other teams, but really just won the title like the German MANNSCHAFT did in the past

cheers

-----------

interesting stuff also on the TACTICAL Bundesliga front

you and good old blut seem to categorise managers into OLD-fashioned Neanderthalers on the one hand and MODERN managers on the other

Sammer, Magath, Daum, Hrubesch... are the "unverbesserliche Steinzeittrainer" whereas , presumably, Klopp, Tuchel, Löw, Klinsi ... stand for the NEW generation of MODERN coaches

the problem here is that the so-called modern coaches are often remarkably OLD-fashioned

Kloppo, for instance, is the REAL HEIR of Daum, as Harald Schmidt correctly remarked the other day

if there was ONE old school MOTIVATOR in the Bundesliga , it was HIM

some of his tricks are LEGENDARY, others less well known

but it's all about getting under his players' skin

for instance, he once instructed a friend to put on a DORTMUND shirt and then attend a public SCHALKE training in Gelsenkirchen

another friend would film what happened next with a secret camera Smile

obviously, the Schalke fans would INSULT the Dortmund "fan" with the most foul language imaginable

then

Kloppo

would show this VIDEO to his players just before the game against Schalke

cheers

Sportbild now has an article about Klopp and some of his methods

A LOT of it is about the most German elements of them all

FITNESS

but also , once again, MOTIVATION

Klopp came up with a list of ATTRIBUTES he asked he players to subscribe to and sign on a board

stuff like

"unbedingter EINSATZ"....

it's some cross of the Magath/Sammer and Daum school

yet apparently, Klopp is MODERN

whereas Magath is a dinosaur

Smile

Oenning, another allegedly MODERN manager, just RUBBISHED van Gaal's/Löw POSSESSION football (in last week's Sportbild)

saying that possession was not all that important at all

a SOLID defence coupled with "schnellem Umschalten" was key

and

mentioned HANNOVER as THE club to LEARN from

and so it continues

@allez

don'T believe the media hype about anything MODERN

it's merely HYPE

not more

after the 2006 World Cup, the German media RAVED about our German ATTACKING football as invented by Klinsi

BUT

interestingly, NOBODY in the Bundesliga COPIED it

the league coaches had watched the World Cup VERY carefully though and started adopting Italy's/France's system with TWO DMCs and ONE striker

eventually, Löw would follow suit himself cheers

------------

interesting stuff on the feminisation of society

maybe also hierarchies and leadership

http://www.welt.de/kultur/article13457704/Chinesische-Erziehung-macht-keine-Alphamaenner.html

the above article seems to suggest that ASIAN VALUES are FLAT-hierarchy values (even if their is a strong respect for elders) and eventually lead NOWHERE

at least in America

interesting

me thinks

and well worth a DEBATE

I have to look at some of this with a measure of pity and sorrow – you can't just watch, appreciate or enjoy anything for what it is, you have to tie it in with some ludicrously inflated and stereotyped agenda.

This modern, flat hierarchy obsession isn't mine, it's yours – you're just putting words in my/our mouth(s).

He is obsessed, absolutely obsessed with hierarchy in general. Heinrich Mann's "Der Untertan" comes to mind - nach oben buckeln, nach unten treten.

Hierarchies or not, Otto is a fucking legend ok

Lose him and this board would lose one of THE best characters on here.

Those tinpot agendas are part and parcel of it

Laugh Doh

100 points for mentioning Heinrich Mann on a football board though

Ale

and God knows where your "buckeln/treten" impression comes from

CERTAINLY NOT FROM ME

two examples of a LEADER are Ballack and Dirk

neither kick ANYBODY below them or demand obedience or subservience

AT ALL

the "Das ist ein BEFEHL" culture does NOT work in sport and never has

and frankly, I don't have the foggiest what it's supposed to have to do with me

take Dirk: his teammates endlessly REFER TO HIM and DEFER to him; virtually every post-game interview with every player has Dirk's name mentioned 5 times

even the coach joins in

there is simply no need to crack the whip AT ALL

--------

still

as for the feminisation of sport/society

I just stumbled upon this article/picture

what the fuck is Clichy wearing ?! Yikes

http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussball/international/england/1107/News/der-fc-arsenal-steht-vor-einem-umbruch-gleich-mehrere-stars-liebaeugeln-mit-einem-wechsel-cesc-fabregas-gael-clichy-samir-nasri-gervinho.html

is it a tablecloth, Big Mamma's underwear, WHAT is it ?

seems like other countries have even BIGGER problems than us

Laugh

oh dear, oh dear

I know you are not supposed to kick somebody when he is down

but considering the insults our good friend has thrown in my direction

let's do it ANYWAY

Smile

our Werder fan has been RAVING about our U-17 team in Mexico, now hasn't he

well

one of THE key players of that MODERN kiddy team

is now REVEALING it all

speaking about

LEADERSHIP

HIERARCHIES

the importance of DEFENSE

GRITTINESS

and putting other players in their place, if need be

lol!

http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussball/dfb-team/u-17-wm-mexiko-2011/Artikel/vfb-stuttgart-robin-yalcin-im-interview-viertelfinale-gegen-england-vorbild-frank-lampard-vergleich-klaus-augenthaler.html

if Löw reads this, Yalcin may as well forget about playing for Germany in the future

blut and allez will hope Yalcin had NEVER opened his mouth either

but

it's TOO LATE

it's out in the OPEN

and

Sammer, Daum, Magath, Scholl, Ballack, Hitzfeld and MYSELF

have taken notice

Löw schwimmen die Felle davon, me thinks

cheers

You open an interview and read the following as one of the first things:

We only concentrate on the next game...
Rolling Eyes

Similar things you hear every time include sentences like
"Trotzdem WARNTE Trainer XYZ vor Südostäquatorialguinea"
man brauche 100% Konzentration...
nicht unterschätzen...

Ale

the Ladies' World Cup is indeed a politically correct hilarity

lol!

must admit, that I am only now beginning to realise how much certain people try to instrumentalise it to push their WOMEN's agenda, quotas...

quite a few hacks have admitted as much

but really, when politicians like Roth confirm it, you start to get a bit nervous

because WHEN our ladies get the title, the feminists will try to exploit it MASSIVELY

Künast, the possible future chancellor of Germany, is already asking for QUOTAS in football in the latest WAMS Yikes

I don't know what that means, but suppose, she is speaking of quotas in the boardrooms of football clubs

certainly, the DFB

presumably, 30+% of all board-members would have to be women and funds would have to be allocated to girls' football accordingly Laugh

I wonder what Hoeness makes of THAT

Very Happy

Mario Basler thinks Women's football is a joke, by the way Smile

not so long ago , I predicted that Steffi Jones would one day be the PRESIDENT of the DFB

and THAT now looks more likely than ever

Zwanziger already PUBLICLY toyed with the idea

Doh

the more this FEMINIST agenda is getting shoved into my face with regards to the Women's World Cup

the more I WANT our ladies to LOSE

ASAP

I have ALWAYS supported ANYTHING German

I would even be pleased to hear that GERMAN

CHERRIES

were tastier than Turkish or Californian CHERRIES

but

IF our ladies win

Löw, allez, Zwanziger, blut, Künast, Roth, von der Leyen and Co

will THINK they have AMMUNITION to milk their agendas

Yikes

by the way

actor Heiner Lauterbach is now writing about the Women's World Cup in WAMS

and thinks we need more FEMALE commentators for football

sounds like he is NOT specifically referring to ladies football but even to the Bundesliga

Doh Yikes

the politically correct Gutmenschen are now trying to outdo each other praising women's football to the rafters

if I did not know that 51% of all fans thought Löw was a fraud and liar, I would now think we were doomed

but it turns out

we are

NOT

cheers Very Happy
