Nani - Brand new conspiracy theory

Post by Lusitan on Tue 8 Jun 2010 - 23:28

Ok, everyone here in Portugal is having a hard time with the way Nani got out. No one seems to explain this injury.

So there's a new theory raising about CQ finding out that Nany was on forbiden meds and that was the way they found to send him away before any dopping test......

    Could this be valid?

Seems he got injured before the match against Cabo Verde. Did you see him play against Cameroun?

Did he get injured because his perfume bottle fell on his toes? If yes, that means he took illigal stuff and doesn't want to do his health check

in an interview from portuguese television with quieroz I had the feeling that it was not the real story he told them.

I thought then, has Manchester United somthing to with it? This whole situation is a bit weird...

Official version is that he got injured still playing for MU and then agravated it in training with the selecção. Aparently he tried hiding it so e didn't loose his place at the WC.

MANCHESTER UNITED winger Nani was last night at the centre of a drugs slur.

The Portugal star was dramatically ruled out of the World Cup on the eve of the finals with a collarbone injury

But unfounded rumours began circulating back in Portugal that Nani has failed a random dope test.

The allegations grew to such an extent that the Portuguese Football Federation and the country's anti-doping authority were forced to put out strenuous denials.

Amandio de Carvalho, vice-president of the Portuguese Football Federation, said: "Nani was indeed injured. He fell badly in training and injured himself.

"There's no intention to hide anything. There's no need for an operation. He just needs time to recover. He can stay with us during the World Cup, if he wants."

Luis Horta, head of anti-doping in Portugal, added: "The rumours going around are without foundation.

"At least, with the controls carried out at the anti-doping authority in Portugal there exists no problem.

"Urine and blood samples were collected randomly. As far as we know, it all went well."
