The same way that Portugal was 3rd just prior to the WC Doh

Not much to say about the 3 first ones on that list, but Portugal still in 8th is a joke

I don't think we have beaten any of the teams in the top 50 for quite some time now....

I have no idea how FIFA makes such a list and of course its mostly bullshite. Mexico went out in the same stage as England last WC yet they are a lot lower. And what about South Korea so low? No idea.

What I do know is that Peru would be in the top 10 if it wasnt for those corrupt fuckos!

You can't just base it all on the last five minutes Otto. Holland hadn't lost for some ridiculous sequence. As recently as early last year we were busy losing to Norway and England (or do friendlies not count for this, I don't know?)...

I think it's done sort of like tennis rankings, so points run out when a competition comes round again. Germany finishing 3rd was the exact same as last time so nothing gained, whereas Dutch going from 2R to 2nd Place = big gain.

Portugal, Italy, France all drop plenty of points due to getting nowhere near their performance last world cup.

    allez

    for a start

I don't get what Holland are doing on a Fifa list ANYWAY

isn't it supposed to be about FOOTBALL ? scratch

the Dutch seem to indulge in a weird kind of FOOTCHEST or "kick-boxing" or some other form of "martial-arts"

    footBALL they do NOT play

    plus

are they still part of the UN, or have they already been kicked out

    WARMONGERS says I

they must have broken at least 10 UN resolutions against the Spanish already

Good post Otto but let it be reiterated that you, ausgerechnet du, are not taking any credit for, or basking in any reflected glory of, the current relative success or stylish performances of the German team Ale

Is it really a 4-year cycle Baserlein? Why then has Schland pocketed a bucketload of points?

I think it depends on the points of the opposition and the stage the game happened. WC >> friendlies of course
Winning against higher opposition should give you more points losing against bad opposition = losing more points than losing against higher ranked teams.

    Don't know exactly though.

Okay. I just read the wiki. I'm good at distracting myself. I can distill it thus:

Total points are summed from the average points for each year over the last 4 years.

Each match is scored as 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss - but this is multiplied by variables based on how strong oppostion is, which region they come from, what type of match it was and how long ago it was played.

So I think I was right in saying points from 2006 world cup would now be lost - but these would have been worth less now anyway as points are decreased in value the longer ago a game was.

It all makes reasonable sense mathematically, but I'm still baffled how Norway ended up so high without playing any games in decent tournaments!

No Germany let themselves slaughter like Schweinies that went to a butcher. They already surrendered themselves before kickoff.

Thats where England and Argentina got it wrong, all you have to say is ''BOO'' before the match and that entire foreign legion is crying for their mothers!

I know. Germany used to have manly names like Lothar, Jürgen, Klaus, Karl-Heinz, Olaf or Uwe. Now they're named Arne ffs.

Holland extended their co-efficient point lead over Germany. In 2010 Holland only lost one game(after ET) and drew one game with the b-squad. The other 15 were all won.
