Goal.com editors recently did a top 50 player selection of 2009-10. They seem to have also taken the world cup into account.... Midget finished top cheers

This is what their top 10 looked like:
    1. Wesley Sneijder
    2. Lionel Messi
    3. Xavi
    4. Arjen Robben
    5. Diego Milito
    6. Diego Forlan
    7. Andres Iniesta
    8. David Villa
    9. Cristiano Ronaldo
    10. Bastian Schweinsteiger

What would be your top 10?

The number of those players that play in the Premier League is interesting...

He was better than Xavi last season, but to say he was better than messi.

I don't think its that much of a "shocker". Midget did not do too shabily last season.... he was the protagonist in Inter's historic treble, and the main goalscorer for the Dutch making the final... so for the season 2009-10, you could argue that Sneijder did better than Messi.

Not that I agree with this list... but more on that later, when I post my top 10.
