Mourinho is also adamant that Los Blancos, under his tutelage, will be offensive in their approach to matches this season, adding: “I have an obsession for playing attractive, attacking football, I do not want to see a Real Madrid of five players defending.”

Well this bit I find hard to believe. We'll see I guess. The last sentence isn't the full quote. He said he didn't want to see Madrid defending with five and attacking with five, implying that he does not want a disjointed team.

His Madrid side will probably be more offensive and entertaining then his other sides. Chelsea and Inter weren't that defensive except for particular games but they had more physical and uncreative players. With that said I can't imagine we won't be defensive/pragmatic in some games. Problem is that we have too many offensive minded players and not great defenders so im not sure it would even be practical to play defensive football.

I agree with super, i believe this madrid side will be the most attacking side Jose has coached since his porto days, their is just too much attacking talent for him to go as defensive as inter and chelsea, those teams didn't have the quality in the attacking 3rd has this team has.

But an obsession with attacking is taking it too far jose.

Come on, where's that famous German sense of humour. If one can't poke a bit of fun at Ozil/Deisler or whatever he calls himself now, what can ye do?
