    IS ROONEY'S CAREER OVER?

Post by PuroReturns on Sun Oct 17, 2010 1:01 pm

We KNOW the media hyped him up, created him, manufactured him. True, he was a decent player, but not even close to what the media made him out to be. They put him next to Messi and Cristiano FOR FUCKS SAKE! lol!

Serious question now, think about it...is he an EX-PLAYER?

Hint: his "pace" will soon be gone or is going already. His mid-section will get wider, and thus he will lose the boosters in his engine rather quickly.

Are his best days well behind him? I sincerely hope he's not a goner just to shut up fuckos from the media. The same c**ts who built him (admittedly I NEVER ate their hype shite) will destroy "ZeRooney". A decent player at his peak and that's that, NEVER world class. <Ale>

    It's not over for sure.
    He's 24 ffs.
Maybe he's going to leave if the media don't let him alone, but this won't happen. Terry manage to get over it so Rooney can. If he leaves, where can he go? Madrid, Barcelona? They already have enough players in attack so they don't need him.

Sincere apologies Sir Dick Grayson, I was not aware you started this topic already. I should've known since you're always watching from the shadows. Biggrin <Ale>

They have invested so much money into the creation of Rooney that they are gonna try to get as much money out of him while they can, while he can still tie his own shoelaces. I doubt Slur Alex will sign him to a contract extension with a pay rise.

The ball is on the Evil Club's court, will they pay the obscene amount for Rooney?

Alberto, apologies accepted my dear fellow and the deference noted.

However, off topic remark - who 'were' you? Your previous title that is. Your tone of address leads me to wonder as you sound like one of 'older' gen chaps from our early/606 days!

Anyway, on topic - I for one WELCOME - RMs £75m with open arms!

Rooney was made by Man Utd - but was NEVER as near as good as the other model Man Utd created - the far superior CR7.
Fact is CR7 won W/E Best player awards under the nose of the pie-muncher!

Could he EVER match the same? Never!

The Brit media may have hung there hope on fatty - like the did with Gazza - but look what happened to that fat overrated sod!
Same will happen to this conte too!

Unless, he goes and spend his time water-carrying and tying CR7s bootlace! like a goof fat munchkin!!!!

Hurraaah to SAF! kick t'conte out says i and bag the dosharooney!!!!!!

Bearing in mind this is little more than another dressed up attempt of Puro's to belittle Englanders, it's actually quite ironic given the title of this thread is as over the top as anything you'd see written in one of the shittier tabloids that are apparently to blame for building Rooney up in the first place...

But yes, I think we can all agree Rooney has been poor this season. But he wasn't last. Infact, I don't see the problem with calling it as it was - his level of performances last year were World Class. Certainly as good as anything Ronaldo has done since joining Real Madrid.

He has the natural talent, but lacks the arrogance and self belief that the best players in the World have.

But at 24, I sincerelt doubt his career is over. Nice one alberto Laugh

It's happened before, Robbie Fowler was even younger.
This is why foreign managers (like Mancini today) talk about fitness, alcohol and life styles.

Of course it COULD happen, but as I said - sincerely doubt it. Rooney needs a rest and time to get his head together if you ask me - he's been asked to carry United and England for over a year now, the World Cup mess and the tabloid frenzy over his private life would mentally fuck any player. He'll be back though, he's not the unhinged lunatic that Gazza was for example.

Jesus christ. 10 bad games and he's just a "decent player"? Maybe it's more than that, I don't really care. My point - as a chelsea fan - is he's one of the top 10 best forwards in the last 10 years.

If he scores a hat-trick next week you'll be calling him a god among men again and then a league 2 player the week after when he misses a sitter.

Judging by Friday night's events, Rooney could teach Poldi about humility Razz

The Guardian wouldn't report it unless they had evidence, so it must have legs:

Take out the few weeks of the World Cup though, and you wouldn't be talking about such plummetted stock.

Basically, in the last 13 months, he's been out of form and playing poorly in about 4, and in the remainder he was consistently good to brilliant.

Compare that with Miroslav Klose for example, who in the last 12 months has been non existent in 9, had an excellent couple of weeks at the World Cup, and decent start to the season, and he's now apparently the greatest striker in the history of the game accirding to the Ottmeister.

Just goes to show how quickly opinions / reputations fluctuate.
