Premier League Discussion - 30/31 Oct and 1st November

Post by Luis on Fri Oct 29, 2010 3:13 pm

    Saturday, 30 October 2010
    Arsenal v West Ham
    Blackburn v Chelsea
    Everton v Stoke
    Fulham v Wigan
    Wolverhampton v Man City
    Man Utd v Tottenham

    Sunday, 31 October 2010
    Aston Villa v Birmingham
    Newcastle v Sunderland
    Bolton v Liverpool

    Monday, 1 November 2010
    Blackpool v West Brom

    -------------------------------------------------------------

Some good looking fixtures once again!

United-Spurs is obviously the big one. I'm expecting a draw really, Spurs will cause nightmares for United's frail defence, I doubt G.Nev will start this one but I'd love to see Bale running at him all game Laughing But I still think the lack of firepower up front for Spurs will be a problem. They should have won the game last week vs Everton but time after time Crouch was indecisive when he had an opportunity to score. United, in contrast, have an in form Hernandez with Berbatov in good form this season and up against a former club, he's bound to play a part. Tough game to call!

Two derbies on sunday and they're usually eventful ones at that. The battle of the brummies always throws up some controversy (isn't that right MON?) or hilarity, so here's hoping for more of the same <Ale>

I don't know about anyone else but I'm really looking forward to the monday night game; both teams are playing good football, have been a credit to the league so far and I can see both teams just going all out for it. Perhaps Di Matteo will be a bit more cautious than Holloway but I still think it will be entertaining with plenty of goals.

    Football cheers

I reckon we'll line up like this on sunday:

    --------------------Reina-----------------------

    ---Carra------Kygriakos--------Skrtel-----------Konchesky-------------------

    -----------------Lucas------------Merieles--------------------------------

    -------Maxi----------------Gerrard--------------------Cole-------------

    ---------------------------------Torres-------------------------------------

Don't think Johnson will be ready to start which is a shame as Carragher right back is a disgrace to football Sad

Nobody told me Benjani was at Blackburn now Grr

It'll make it a bit more chinteresting at the top if Chelsea drop points again. Away record starting to look not so good.

Plenty of attacking play from both sides City came out of the gates flying then Wolves got into the game. Jarvis on left looks good.

Saw a few others posters here praising him before, he was looking good at Goodison earlier this season as well.

<Ale> Was MOTM for me against United the other night in the carling cup. Very difficult to defend against and has brilliant ball control.

I'm watching Arsenal-Ham. Ham are shit, but just about managing to crowd them out for now. Pretty sure the goal is coming though. Should bring on Walcott to run at Ilunga who's on a yellow.

Wenger finally follows my suggestion and Walcott just came v.v. close, hitting inside of post after destroying Ilunga for pace. Ham may just hold on here.

Clichy assisted with a really good right footed cross Shocked

Left it late, but hardly undeserved. They'd come close so many times.
