Ronaldo makes it 4-0 from a penalty which he put down the middle.

Think it's quite worrying that Messi and Ronaldo have treated La Liga as a competition to see who can score the most myself. If any player is scoring 30+ goals in a league the quality of that league needs to come into serious question. In the Premier League Berbatov leads the way with 21 and I suspect he wont score too many more in the next few games if indeed at all which is credit to how hard it is to score a lot of goals in the Premier League.

Oh Luis. Laughing

Berbatov has only started 23 matches and played in 30 total. Messi and Ronaldo basically play every minute of every game. If Berbatov did this he could be close to 30 goals as well I'm sure. Yes, even in the Premier League. And didn't Drogba hit 30 last year?

Madrid's demolition of Valencia and Villareal was embarassing. You'd never get Chelsea beating us or Spurs so easily.

Also, didn't Liverpool beat Man Utd 1-4 a last year or the year before? If I am not wrong that is the same margin of victory as the Valencia-Madrid game a couple weeks ago. Ale

Not saying it won't happen this weekend, but Villarreal yet wasn't demolished by Real. Valencia and Sevilla were.

Abidal in starting XI against Levante Yikes It's really impressively quick recovery.

I think you've got this one pretty much covered Jaime but, Ronaldo scored 30 in the Premier League a few years back...

Keita scores with a powerful header after a well timed run into the penalty area. 1-0 Barca.

Abidal has really lost some weight Yikes

Delighted to see him start though, not just from the human perspective but sporting-wise too. If Puyol can get fully fit, a defense of Alves-Pique-Puyol-Abidal in the CL final will be just fantastic.

Real Sociedad have taken the lead against Zaragoza. Six-pointer game, that. I still reckon Zaragoza will be the 3rd team relegated...Depor and Osasuna always seem to survive somehow.

Typical Pique, lapse of concentration. He really needs Puyol around to keep him awake.

A mix-up between Pique and Valdes gave Caicedo an easy chance to score from. 1-1.

Congrats Barcelona indeed, worthy champions. Ale

You need serious competition though, which you'll hopefully get in the coming years, especailly in Europe.

Great scenes in Pamplona, Osasuna were 2-0 down and win 3-2 in the dying seconds.

Card index of 70 or under @ evens, finishes at 65 in dying seconds too, due to Medel getting sent off for Sevilla Very Happy

Congrats Barce...come on make sure you get the double now Smile

Ceicedo 13 goals in 24 games...decent by the youngster.

I heard Barce had 84% possession can anyone confirm this ? Shocked

Caicedo has been excellent indeed, esp. in the 2nd half of the season. Spanish defenses just can't deal with his power, strength, and pace. Pique struggled with him all game long.

Yeah, according to this, it's 84%.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/match?id=302109

But it was probably heavily skewed by the last 10 mins - Barça just endlessly passed the ball between the back 4, and Levante weren't too bothered to push up and press.

Marca saying Luis Enrique will become Atletico's manager next season and QSF has an offer from Spartak Moscow (not Greece or Turkey kas, but the same idea!)

I am really pleased... but it was an extremely boring game yesterday.. aside from a few flashes of Keita and Messi.. nothing at all.. At least Abidal is getting match fit again.. Afellay getting some minutes

Question - is this true that it's "AS" which is awarding a "Pichichi" award for the best scorer? If it's true, than it will be their opinion which will count of final number of Ronaldo goals and not LFP? Because there is still one goal difference, right?

It's Marca, not AS, that runs the Pichichi competition. And yes, it's their own stats that count, so Ronaldo's goal which has been given as a goal for Pepe by every other outlet other than Marca doesn't mean anything.

But now that he's easily won it, I wouldn't be surprised to see them say "in the end our judges decided that this goal shouldn't really count" blah blah blah Wink
