CAMPIONI <Ale>

But more importantly, Berlusconi and Galliani have been talking lately about returning to the top in Europe. Berlusconi again said today that the team will be strengthened and talked about reinforcements from South America. Taiwo, Mexes are considered done deals and we seem to be closing in on Ganso.

After years of non-investment, Berlusca opens the wallet once and Galliani delivers a scudetto winning mercato. The Berlusconi family seems willing to again strengthen the team this summer. Which is bad news for the rest of the world that feasted on our dead carcass over the past few years. Shit's about to get real.

Congrats Milan, a deserved scudetto.

For Inter, our cycle has ended... and we need to invest into a new cycle. It may take a few years, but with Branca in charge of transfers, and hopefully a new, talented coach, we can do it...

WHAT A NIGHT!!!! Very Happy cheers drunken

In my town the streets were absolutely packed with scooters and people hanging out of cars with flags driving round the square, they let off fireworks for over an hour straight after the match, and this morning you can still hear car horns and air hooters. i got back from Milan about 4 this morning and there were still people partying, i'll be going up into the city again for the match next Saturday for the parade and the 'homecoming', brilliant brilliant, we deserved this very badly, and both Berlusconi and Galliani have said this is a 'new beginning' for a new cycle for Milan, the club will focus on youth and building a dynasty of success 'for the next 25 years', and this summers transfer campaign will apparantly be a 'gift to the fans'. It will take a lot to get near Barcelona, but with an excellent transfer summer and the continuation under our brilliant coach, we can start to get back into the top European clubs again, very happy and optimistic.

It's a lot harder for them to win games now that they don't have their referees to help them out.

Erm

They should go for Spalletti or Benitez. I would prefer Benitez since Juventus needs somebody who can build up their defence and make Juventus a unit again like they have always been in the past.

Van Gaals philosophy is so different to traditional Italian football, Juventus in particular, his emphasis on possession and 'dominance', almost religously. He's a very dogmatic and stubborn coach, and Juve are run similar to many continental clubs - the managers / coaches don't have the same level of power and influence as English ones.

I can see a lot of conflicts emerging because of that, especially if things don't go well.

Van Gaal could help stabilising the Juve defence with his possession football philosophy. But he could also take away their joy to play the game with his rigorous tactical demands, making them almost static and predictable.

To be honest, it would be kinda interesting to see his philosophy being implemented by an Italian club, a cultural shock to a certain degree... Smile

This is Juventus you know. Wink

Van Gaal could succed in that his style would emphasis more wing play then is normally done in Italy which would also help in Europe. But Juventus' defence is simply too poor and I wouldn't trust Van Gaal to build a sound defence.

Hmmm word has it Farfán will play for Milan and Vargas for Inter. Talk about strengthening the team with ideal players for the respective weak links in each club. Shocked Perhaps Serie A giants are tired of losing ground to La Liga and BPL and are seriously mounting a challenge for next season's CL.

Farfán has semifinal experience (twice with PSV and Schalke) and Vargas was robbed of one (Fiorentina vs Bayern...the theft of 2010). Both are primed to take the next step, and both clubs absolutely NEED them. <Ale>
