Shocked

Well, I don't really think Atletico are going to sell him to us. So who will it be? City? Inter?

Well, just reading a little more on Marca - Cerezo has come out and said that Atletico are not selling and will not negotiate for Aguero in spite of the player wanting to go. Perhaps that is just his way of saying "You're gonna have to come up with the buyout clause if you want him" but still the first 'culebron' of the summer. And it's a big one!

Never understood why one of the bigger Spanish teams was not in for him last summer when he was sold to Marseille. Hope Valencia bring him back to la liga. Ale

Azpi has been injured most of the season and Marseille bought Fanni to play while he was injured. He did impress a few times, although it took time for him to settle in. It's not an easy task when you are young and it's your first time abroad. He's been back and has now recovered. Dunno if he's going to leave Marseille, depends on how he thinks his chances are being a first team player or a bench warmer.

http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/manchester-anunciara-lunes-fichaje-gea/20110524dasdaiftb_17/Tes

Will be interesting to see how Atletico reinvest the money from De Gea, Kun, and Forlan....

We'll have Canales!

Looks like the Forlan to Spurs rumour mill is back on:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3581651/Forlan-prices-may-tempt-Spurs.html

Just not sure, I feel Forlan's best days are behind him now. I'd rather we got someone in who was in or around their peak. For 10 million, Forlan doesn't seem a clever investment. Although he does have Premier League experience, and certainly cannot be any worse than our current lot.

I'd rather we went for someone like Negredo or Soldado first. Or God forbid - Llorente.

We're also linked with Osvaldo. What's the general opinion of him?

Pretty sure we're going to get a striker from La Liga this season. 'Arry's made enough trips to Spain this season, it's got to happen.

EPL needs to f*ck off and leave la liga players in Spain!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grr

I promise we won't buy Adebayor and you can have him!

But back to your questions. Forlan had a massive drop off this year. Not sure if that means he is finished or if it was just a combination of World Cup hangover + falling out with Quique Sanchez Flores. If a change of scenery would revitalise him then I don't think 10m is such a bad deal. I'm not convinced he is completely done but at 32 it certainly would be a short term fix at best.

Osvaldo is a good player. Good pace, no messing about, knows how to stick it in the net (although oddly he does not seem to have been prolific anywhere before coming to Espanyol). Probably the easiest to prize away from his current club since Espanyol are always willing to sell their best players.

Personally I think you should go for Caicedo. Certainly he has no future at Man City and he literally saved Levante all by himself.

I don't think Caicedo would find it as easy to score as he did in La Liga, his strength(s) wouldn't work as well as in Spain.

Disappointed that it's not Villarreal which is going for Azplicueta Grr

One rumour going around that we are signing Kiko from Hercules. The fee will be 4m, and he'll spend a year in the B team.

Don't know much about him, just heard he's very talented. If it's true, I'm a bit surprised why the club would be signing kids...we have the cantera already. Unless he's a forward, then it makes sense. The cantera is pretty poor with forwards, apart from future Balon d'Or Bojan Krkic.

Kiko Femenia? Heard he was on his way to Valencia....he's a right wingback/midfielder I think.

Right wing I think.. On his debut in la primera he got an anxiety attack on the pitch and Rufete had to calm him down.. doesnt bode well for a debut in the Camp Nou Wink

Getafe Team Dubai should be making signings like that. If the Sheikhs are serious, they should be getting Parejo proper help in the middle.

Didn't know this before, but apparently Levante has a clause in Caicedo's loan deal allowing them to buy player for 1.5m euro. They will of course exercise it, but are willing to listen to various offers. One of the teams rumoured to be interested is Villarreal - Levante wants cash plus (not sure how much) + Jefferson Montero + Mantilla.

Lots to catch up on:

*Ruud van Nistelrooy is in Malaga to finalise a one year deal (with an option for a second) with the new look sheikh-team.

*Negotiations between Sporting and Barcelona have broken down over left back Jose Angel which is quite a turnaround since he looked almost certain of completing the move a week ago.

*Lots of comings and goings at Sevilla: Didier Zokora moves to Tranzonspor of Turkey for 5m euro; Renato signs for Botafogo on a free transfer; Martin Caceres moves to Sevilla on a permanent deal (3m euro) from Barcelona following his one year loan spell; Rayo's highly rated right back Coke Andujar is on the verge of moving to Sevilla.

*Marca's big story today is that Barcelona are going for Milan central defender Thiago Silva. Doubt Milan will sell nor that Thiago would want to go to a team where he would be third choice assuming Puyol is fine after his surgery.

*Juve in for Lass, Garay, and Higuain. Not a new rumour but now certain sources are saying that Florentino is willing to part with Higuain to finance a move for Kun Aguero. However, Mourinho does not want to sell Higuain and prefers the club sell Benzema who Juve are also linked with. In theory Mourinho will keep Higuain, right? After all he has all the power now. Whistle

*The mexification of Zaragoza is in motion with Aguirre trying to sign his countrymen Pablo Barrera (who I liked at the WC last summer) and Efrain Juarez. SuperDeporte also suggesting that Zaragoza are interested in Valencia goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya.

*Valencia have renewed David Albelda for one more year and Emery is also hoping to get Cesar to sign a one year extension.

*Didac Vila back to Espanyol on loan is official.

*Uruguay right back Damian Suarez has completed a move to Sporting Gijon with Sporting paying around 800.000 euro.

*Real Madrid will not be executing the buyback option on Dani Parejo. Both Atletico and Valencia are rumoured to be interested.

*Gabi is on his way back to the Vicente Calderon. The Zaragoza midfielder has apparently rejected a new contract offer and Atletico were willing to pay 3m euro for the ex-Atletico player who has just one year left on his current deal. This move confirms that Atletico will not look to sign Tiago on a permanent deal.
