Pretty embarrassing at times this

Is it any surprise though given the refs almost always fall for it and give free kicks.

Compare it to the United V City game earlier where the ref would let the game flow.

The football at times is beautiful in Spain, but anyone who tells me that they don't dive, play act and employ pussy refs (who encourage it) anymore than in England is lying.
It does make it quite unwatchable. La Liga should do what Egypt do for their big games, get a referee from abroad so no one can complain about neutrality.

The Tunisian Tree Trunk is the epitome of a facking ranner. Had done a good defensive job on iniesta, but won't be producing anything attacking wise.

Factoid: khedira is the only outfield player of the 20 on show tonight who hasn't scored this season

But this isn't entirely true. He's won several corners and it was his pass that put Di Maria through earlier.

I'm on a kroos wind up goddamit, show some respect!

Although in seriousness, says more about the lack of creativity currently from peep and, unusually, alonso. Hoping the latter can find his range in the second half as he's a joy to watch. His passing ripped us to shreds the other week.

An accurate decision. Poor defending, no need to bring him down at all.

Probably a pen, but the Red was harsh. Stupid, stupid pen to concede, should have gotten round to face the ball, esp given Villa is always gonna dive in that situation.

ok they need to change the rule. Of course taking your shirt off and wearing snoods are more important to FIFA.

Villa made a meal of it. Bit of a farce but after some other "fouls" given, the ref had no choice.

Not sure it was a sending off, but as last man it is within letter of the law.

Real Madrid need to just go for it now.

Shame, 10 v 11 is never a fair game

Wish we'd had this ref at White hart lane against Madrid. Would have had at least 1 pen Laughing

But we re not barca. Not big enough to warrant such a decision.

Yes still a tiny bit bitter we got no decisions in 180 minutes
