three cheers to VON BOMMEL + Hyypia

Post by Ä on Wed May 11, 2011 10:54 am

cheers cheers cheers

what a LEGEND he is

he must now be the ONLY player in Europe to have won FOUR European league titles

in the Eredivisie with PSV ( ? )

in La Liga with Barca

in the Budesliga as a captain with Bayern

and now

in Seria A with AC Milan

Yikes

bizarrely, von Bommel must be one of the LEAST raved about Nederlanders in world football

if, clearly the most LEGENDARY and VALUABLE

so let's raise the glass to the GREATEST Nederlander ALIVE

+

good interview with the LEGEND ( in German)

He, one of the dirtiest fuckers in the game, becomes a 'legend' because he rails against Bayern and players otto doesn't like, basically suiting his agendas. Business as usual... Smile

I knew you would not like this thread, blut

Very Happy

von Bommel, after all, is already

wait for it

34 years old (similar age as Ballack)

and therefore

officially

WELL PAST IT

cheers

yet mysteriously, Bayern collapsed when he LEFT

and AC Milan TOOK OFF when he joined

which , according to YOUR ageist agendas, should NOT be possible

lol!

I bet AC Milan will EXTEND the contract with von Bommel

simply because he is a LEGEND and still the BEST at what he DOES

I ALWAYS liked and raved about von Bommel

even at a time when NOBODY, not even the Nederlanders on here liked him

a) Mark is a top footballer

b) a REAL LEADER of the gritty kind (the like of which every team needs)

c) FUNNY

d) a TOP character ( when he joined Bayern he greeted EVERY club employee PERSONALLY, even the cleaning ladies Ale )

if EVERY Nederlander was like von Bommel

Holland would be a PERFECT country

You still don't get it, do you? 34 today means around 36 when the next major tournament is around, which does make a whole lot of difference.

Besides, Van Bommel's position in the Dutch national team is different to Ballack's in the German NT today, for good reason. They need him for their hack & slay 'tactics' I suppose...

Not that long ago I chanted that he should break his leg. Hell, every opponent PSV was playing shouted that.

But back then he really was dirty a c**t like the Mascherano, Materazzi etc kind of players. And back then he always had that average German appeal over him.

But since he went to Bayern, he somehow turned into a Super German like the Matthaus, Effenberg, Gattuso(when he was still good) kind of players, still a bit of c**t, but also very smart and a true leader. He found a way to unleash his inner German somehow, which we all KNEW he had in him.

He would fit right into those German NT sides, when Germany was still succesful.

also THREE cheers to Hyypia

who will hang up his boots this Saturday

cheers cheers cheers

immediately a crowd favourite at Leverkusen upon joining the club

despite already being 35 years old

which is yet another HUGE SETBACK for blut's AGEIST agenda Smile cheers

in the current Kicker Hyypia also says that he rates the Bundesliga on a par with the EPL

ALREADY

pointing out that whereas in the EPL the top 4 (maybe soon 5, with City) still have the edge over the Bundesliga top 5

in Germany there was simply far more depth

which overall, equals out

--------------

@ blut

fey merely said

"von Bommel would fit right into those German NT sides, when Germany was still succesful"

which is 100% true

von Bommel is an old style German LEADER

it's fair so say though that he would NOT be a Löw favourite

and would look THOROUGHLY out of place amongst Löw's flat-hierarchy-MODERN-eternal-semi-finalists

lol!

The agendas are all yours, but, fair play, it is a clever rhetorical tactic you use (one often used by women in my experience) – of accusing the other of precisely the thing that they are guilty of – since it can successfully bewilder, infuriate and drive one to distraction.

They don't exist on my side – if you're (still) good enough, you're young enough, or old enough as the case may be.

I don't give a flying fuck about basketball. As things stand you had no interest in Hyypiä (for instance) whatever while he was at Liverpool; it's just that once he moves to a Bundesliga club and like Ballack can help them win second place with his, erm, vast experience he fits the template and you're interested. (Not that he ever had much of the "real man" image you so love to bang on about.)

It's all boring now, and so very irrelevant.

Van Bommel won titles in 5 different leagues....Roger

Don't forget he also won the title with Fortuna Sittard in 1995!!!!

First division in the Netherlands... Laughing

I know, only Belchinezen and Lagar are intersted in this league but still it is some achievement Laughing

At Fortuna he played with Fernando Ricksen (Zenit and Glasgow Rangers) Ruud Hesp (Barcelona) Kevin Hofland (Wolfsburg), Wilfred Bouma (Aston Villa)and his coach was Bert van Marwijk (Dutch national team) (not in 1995 though). Not bad for a club that hardly exit anymore. Don't forget the Dutch FA thought Fortuna was already bankrupt while that was not the case...

Van Bommels debut was in 1992. He was just 16 years of age Shocked

Bo be correct it was the season 92/93 so basically it was 93 Laughing

So Hyypia thinks St Pauli are a better side than West Ham? Bless him Laughing Should say a lot about the Premier League's depth this season that even Der Hammer, a German international until not so long ago, is playing for the league's bottom club.

The "depth" thing always makes me chuckle, because it's the only argument that CANNOT actually be measured in any way. It's not like the lower clubs in the EPL will ever play the lower clubs in the Bundesliga, so if it makes a few Teutons happy Ale

Wahre G.

You feed off otto and his agendas for your very own, most important, above anything else (including Kuyt) agenda: Down with Germany! Smile

Btw., nobody thinks the current German NT is AWESOME as long as it hasn't won any titles. It's very good though, and nowhere near as spineless, weak, and whatever crazy attribute otto has been giving it over the last few years, as you believe. You both have a definition of leadership and 'Deutsche Tugenden' that isn't just outdated (if it ever really existed; it's more about a romantic, distorted view of the past), it's counterproductive, especially when that obsession comes at the expense of talent.

Let me tell you this: Van Bommel may win a few league titles with the best teams of their respective leagues, but Holland won't win anything with him and De Jong in the middle. You heard it here first.

Well to be fair to Fey he did start a quite ridiculous thread entitled "Tonight football died!" the moment Holland made the final last year and ranted on and on in sickeningly spoilt, misguided and typically Dutchie fashion (along with Axe) about how this Dutch team was a disgrace to its past and to humanity.

They only do that because they believe their own propaganda. Dutch teams always had dirty fuckers who systematically fouled the opposition, brutally even. This isn't anything new, only new to those who believed the nonsense of the 'clean' Dutch teams playing beautiful football, while the opposition, Germany in particular, were dirty cheaters.

The new thing is that the fouling seems to have become their main strategy in key matches, as could be seen in 2006 and 2010. So in that regard, it is true to a certain degree that football has died. But above anything else, hypocrisy and lies have 'died' in the eyes of a billion people, which isn't necessary a bad thing.

But Fey, Axe and all are just one side of the coin. I've read many comments by Dutch fans elsewhere who welcomed the increased steel and grit. "They may be less talented, but they are a better team than those of the past" etc.

Mental strength, the right attitude for me all fall under the 'talent' category. Or let me put it this way: Football is all about quality. Your definition of a winning team is plain ridiculous, as you'd gladly exchange genuine talent for an untalented hack who screams a lot, your defition of 'leadership'. Smile

The current German NT doesn't lack leadership, it lacks in footballing terms foremost. First, we need defenders who are more comfortable on the ball, we need a proper solution for the LB position. We have to defend better as a team in general. Mentally, it's rather strong, as they've proven in many crucial matches of the last few years. This team was the first to beat Russia on their own soil in a competitive (qualification) match. This team wiped the floor with England and Argentina in the knock-out stages of a WC. Especially the younger generation coming through are proven winners, winning titles for Germany on the youth level.

The 'mental problem' you create seems to be more of your own...
