three cheers to FRINGS, Rost und Lattek

Post by Ä on Sun May 15, 2011 11:18 pm

cheers cheers cheers

the two LEGENDS are hanging up their BUNDESLIGA boots now

if they continue to play football, it will VERY probably be ABROAD

otherwise

Frings looks likely to take on managerial responsibilities at Werder

Rost and Frings were two of the LAST REAL GERMAN CHARACTERS who still spoke their mind and were not streamlined

neither could give a toss about media advisors

BOTH repeatedly collided with the likes of Lahm and Co

and BOTH were GIANTS on the field as well

ironically, BOTH would easily still be good enough to continue their career at their current clubs

an ERA is coming to an end

Shocked Neutral

the last German players of THAT kind still left in the Bundesliga are

Wiese

Weidenfeller , to some extent

Ballack

and possibly Jermaine Jones , should he return to Schalke

STILL

neither Rost nor Frings would want us to cry or to be SAD tonight

so let's cheer the sheer GENIUS of those two CHARACTERS with Ecken und KANTEN

cheers cheers cheers

NOBODY on here wants to say a final

FAREWELL ?

a " they will be missed"

an "Auf Wiedersehen"

"Danke" ?

is the hatred , the contempt for ECKEN und Kanten so big now that people on here would rather forget about these two legends

that have brought so much joy and happiness to Werder, Schalke, HSV, Dortmund and Bayern (as well as Kratzer und Beulen to their opponents) ? scratch

what is WRONG with you people ?

We already have a new Frank Rost:

"Er hat mich an Frank Rost erinnert - ohne Haare." (Kölns Linksverteidiger Christian Eichner über eine von ihm festgestellte Ähnlichkeit zwischen dem HSV-Keeper und Kölns glatzköpfigem neuen Trainer Stale Solbakken)

And its true Smile

Always liked Frank Rost, he kinda had the bad luck to have Kahn and Lehmann among others in front of him to really get his chances for the Mannschaft. Just looked in Wiki: he is 1,94m! I always thought he is rather tiny..strange

here's an EXCELLENT interview with Frank Rost

that underlines his LEGEND status

CLEVER, OUTSPOKEN, constructive and courageous

breathtaking stuff for ANY footballer, but possibly, even more so for an EAST-German

100% Sammer-esque

excellent comment by Rost about the lack of aggression against St Pauli

"Es hat ja schon vor dem Spiel eine Harmoniestrategie gegeben . Es hat nur noch gefehlt , dass wir in rosa Röckchen aufgelaufen wären"

Yikes cheers

LEGEND

you CANNOT really see him in one of those silly Nutella/Nivea ads

-----------

as for Frings

who could forget how Löw would SHOUT from the sideline at Jansen to CHARGE forward and ATTACK (as a full-back), whereas Frings was getting pissed off with this nonsense, since the entire defensive stability was getting destroyed as a result

and THEN

would YELL at Jansen to stay PUT and don't DARE to go on another Löw-hero mission

Laugh

LEGENDARY

of course, Frings was RIGHT 100%

but also, maybe no surprise that Löw would not tolerate having a player on the pitch who knew more about football than he did and overruled his very own instructions, no matter how silly

the TWO will be missed

Frings confirms Allofs did not make him ANY offer, even at HUGELY reduced wages

what is REALLY shocking though, is that Frings did not even get a proper FAREWELL

did they even give him a bunch of flowers

or send him on a honorary lap in the Weserstadium to say GOODBYE to his fans ?!

scratch

Frings confirms that he was a tad surprised by the way it way handled

even if Allofs is now talking of giving Frings a proper Abschiedsspiel

@Klaus

you need MORE class

Grr

meanwhile, Frings confirms he WILL continue to play football, preferably abroad, but possibly also in the Bundesliga where clubs are already approaching his management

to SPITE Allofs, Frings should sign a contract with HSV, me thinks

Ale

-----------------

another IMPORTANT retirement is that of

UDO LATTEK at Doppelpass

the EAST PRUSSIAN is one of the last outspoken characters left in the Vaterland

and will be HUGELY missed

rumours have it that Hansi Flick will take over when he has the time

Smile

the best solution, obviously, would be

Mario BASLER cheers

Lothar would be brilliant as well Laugh

Rehagel, Hans Meyer or Christoph Daum are other names that spring to mind

Ale

so three cheers to Udo LATTEK

cheers cheers cheers

Frings Ale

I think it's likely that we'll see him work for us after his career.

He did, but after his career as a footballer, I can see him work for us, e.g. as a youth coach or similar. He'll need to get a licence first though.

»Ey, du Lutscher!«

Text: Andreas Herzog
