mostly because everyone else took the season off. No one could have predicted Man City/Chelsea cutting off their nose to spite their face, Arsenal and Spurs only care about 4th, Liverpool/Everton treading water.

Ferguson has won 13 titles in 20 seasons, and you can't see an end to it other than him leaving the club. They'll win 3 of the next 5 if he stays that long.

City regressed rather than got stronger. Chelsea were always going to struggle after the huge turnover of players in the summer. And despite how good their attackers are, when you have young players, you'll always be prone to inconsistent performances. Spurs and Arsenal aren't good enough. Liverpool and Everton are irrelevant.

Mancini shot himself in the foot with his attitude towards transfers. Spunked £40m on players he had no plans for and letting better players leave because he thought he was playing in God Mode and could sulk his way to another war chest.

Giggs accomplishment is undeniable, but he Michael Owened a few of those titles. He's been a squad player for longer than he was first choice.

As for the bad news, Meulensteen is leaving us. Moyes and his gang already worked everyone including Phelan out. But he allowed one of the old gang to stay, obviously that was Meulensteen who has been the secret all those years. However, Moyes planned to give him some sort of shite job so Meulensteen said thanks but no thanks.

I'm surprised he's replacing all the coaching staff, seems like a mistake to me. Switching Man Utd's staff for Everton's just sounds like a downgrade.

I agree. For example I always thought Steve Round is a downgrade to Alan Irvine, who was a previous assistant of Moyes in Everton. Chris Woods is decent as GK coach though.

If Moyes kept the same coaches, knowing Sir Alex is only pretending to be retired and is secretly just in rehab for drinking, there would be no point of him even being there. Now it looks like he's actually going to have some control over what goes on.

Are there any plans for reinforcements this summer? Or does Moyes just try to keep his squad together?

There's rumours that Evra could go to Monaco and then Moyes signs Baines.

i wouldn't mind Fellaini, think he would be a good signing and add something different to the squad.

Zaha(Zahnoldo) is coming. im looking forward to see how he does but will probably be used as impact sub for the start of the season.

wishful thinking but i think it would be great if we could sign Fabregas and Song, really add some quality and depth to our midfield.

Zaha is a poor man's Sturridge. He does all these little flicks but then fucks it up. Great pace but very selfish and brainless at times. Can't see him starting for United. He'd be better off staying at Pal Arse for a season, gaining first team Premier League action then coming back to United after Moyes has condemned them to mid table mediocrity status.

kagawa scratch

Cesc is an attacking midfielder, he is no kroos or gündogan, both are far more complete midfielders

I am not going to compare players, but just say that cesc is a much better player than he looks like playing out of position for spain and barca. If anything Barca have ruined him Erm

Yes, I read it as well, let's hope it remains at rumours.

A person born in Rotterdam, who supports ajax while playing for PSV cant be any good. And he isnt

A horrible, utter average footballer who goes missing in the big games, a mere 13 in a dozen EPL box-to-box player, who thinks he is the natural heir of van Bommel and acts so as well.

Giggs appointed as player-coach, Phil Neville to be first team coach. Moyes keeping it close to home it seems, probably for the best anyway.
