Inter kids managed to put the 7-1 thrashing by Spurs behind them, and beat PSV 3-2... new acquisition Alborno started his first game, though surprisingly Inter's most expensive 16 year old Tassi is not yet a part of that squad...

Strong away victory for Spurs against PSV, 2-1.
The amazing Coulibaly was on the scoresheet again,
late winning goal by Jack Munns

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/munns-late-strike-sinks-psv-270911.html

Spurs (4-3-1-2); Miles; Barthram; Stewart; Veljkovic; Day; Luongo; Dombaxe; Pritchard; Bostock (Nicholson, 70); Oyenuga (Munns, 74); Coulibaly. Unused substitutes Ekong, Ango.

Hat trick hero Gomelt was suspended, while Tom Carroll and Harry Kane are to play for the first team instead against Shamrock Rovers in the UEFA Europa League.

I am surprise Lyon are not playing this competition, maybe because most of the youngsters which were semi finalist at the last world cup -19 are playing first football. Wtf marseille are doing there!

Inter beat Basel 1-0 to go 2nd on 6 points. Vojtus scored. I must be a bit out of touch with Inter youth teams, this is the first time I ever heard of Vojtus!

That's the same Crisetig who made his CL debut as a sub for Inter yesterday in Moscow... he is our new-Santon, only better Razz

Inter (4-3-1-2):
1 Melgrati;
2 Pecorini, 5 Galimberti, 4 Kysela, 3 Bianchetti;
6 Crisetig, 11 Duncan 8 Roman;
7 Vojtus
10 Bessa, 9 Longo

Subs: 12 Cincilla, 13 Splendlhofer, 14 Falasca, 15 Benassi, 16 Candido, 17 Mella, 18 Forte.

Villa beat Fenerbahce 4-0 last night in their 2nd match, after losing to Ajax in opener. Gary Gardner star man apparently. He's been on bench for seniors recently and should be getting some first team action before long ok

Wikipedia, of course.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011-12_NextGen_series

The scheduling seems very random. Some teams played 4 or 5 games already, others (like Villa) only two. I guess it just gets fitted in as and when the teams can play.

Man City seem to be failing rather badly Biggrin

F***ing hell, we drew with Spurs at home... we should play the likes of Coutinho, Castaignos, Caldirola, Obi, Faraoni & Tassi in this competition. This way at least we will have a shot at winning something in Europe this season.

Inter just beat Sporting away from home, what a result against arguably the best team in the competition... Saw the game live, it was a gutsy, spirited performance full of character.

Proud of the lads.

Next, Marseille in the semis.

Ended 0-3!

I have seen Fischer a few times though. Amazing talent, though again, not Dutch. But Danish. Proves kinda Cruyffs point.

After beating Barca, the Ajax youth are now humiliating liverpool with 0-6! Fischer, a Dane, is a really good player. And to know our academy is even better Very Happy

Liverpool completely fluked their way to this point anyway. They got through their group by default and then got through vs Spurs by a technicality. Villa beat Ajax so they ain't that good.

They didnt took it serious against Villa then I guess. Biggrin

Considering we are above them in the youth league, and they humiliate Barca and Pool.

I think it fair to say we Dutchies have a very talented generation coming up!
