A lot of players played like shit today; Pato, Van Bommell etc. The way we were getting killed on the counter was reminiscent of the 4-4 vs Udinese last year.

I don't think we played that terrible to be honest. We started brightly controlling the game and went ahead. Then we conceeded from a set-piece and on the counterattack, the two areas were we have suffered for the past years(but not as much with Allegri at the helm). We could've equalised before the end of the half but Aquilani blew the chance. In the 2nd Napoli sat back and countered very effectively.

Even though Napoli deserved it, let's not forget that we went there with a bunch of players missing, while they were at full strength. When Ibra, Robinho return our attack will look much much better. I don't really share the pessimism, I think we still have the best squad in Serie A and we can retain the title.

ok
tbf, Napoli away was probably the toughest fixture for Milan this season... Milan remain the favourites for the title.

That said, Udinese are another team who could hurt Milan... Goooooooooo Di Natale!

Some reports suggest that Ranieri could replace Gasperini. Hmmm...that will be interesting. Inter fans must love Marco Branca but it was him who pushed for Gasperini's appointment. There are rumors that he could be making a hasty exit to join Man City. Inter's problems started with hiring Benitez but then they grew when he was not given enough time with the team. And then Leonardo got in & steadied the ship only to realize, wisely, that he should move on before the rot started showing. And then the appointment of Gasperini completes a fine performance by Moratti and Branca. One can understand about Moratti, he's a veteran and pro at it...but Branca, who was so much celebrated among Inter fans for his decisions.

It would be tough to shrug all this away citing Eto'o's departure or Inter preparing for the Fair Play regulations

Dare I suggest Van Gaal? Or even Ancelotti? At this point, even the perpetual-loser Ranieri seems like an improvement...

I miss Mou.

I am not sure where you are getting that from... Branca had pushed for AVB as far as I remember.

I have always been a big critic of hiring Gasp, as you can tell by my summer posts (or ask abundance Smile)... but even the hardest critics like me did not envisage that Gasp will be such an idiot, and that the squad will look so lost in the first few games... we need a change, and we need it now. Even if its the appointment of G Baresi or Roberto Baggio, I would take that over Gasp.
