Supercoppa Italiana in the bag!

Need at least one creative player in the market. Today's 2-1 win over Inter was thrilling, but we lack quality.

I know. I am not against Kaka coming back frankly. Definitely not the player that he was in 2007, but he would improve our team. Despite the persistent rumours of Fabregas, I think our likely arrivals will be Montolivio and Kaka.

What are the chances of Kaka going to Milan in your opinion?

I think is probably 50/50. I've seen some rumours suggesting that Kaka is only still at Madrid because they wanted to take him along on the Asian Tour. I think in spite of what he says, Kaka is not happy being a substitute. Mourinho clearly has Ozil ahead of him in all of the important matches and rightly so, he's been the better player. Still, I would think Florentino would not like to admit that he got it wrong. But if it's true that Mourinho has all the power now and a good offer comes in, he could easily go.

If we pay serious money for him, I'd be pissed.

Not because he left before etc, but because he's damaged goods. He was struggling with injuries even in his last couple of years with us.

His transfer makes a bit of sense because he is at an age where he could provide immediate help for 2-3 years until El Sharaawy and Valoti mature enough to take over the starting spot, whereas signing someone younger than Kaka' will block these players in the long term.

Still, there are a bunch of players I'd rather sign ahead of him plus signing Kaka' alone won't solve our midfield issues, as we also need someone that plays deeper.

Seedorf played amazingly yesterday!

In other news, Aquilani to Miilan by the end of the week. The player's agent is in Via Turati right now.

I'm a big fan of Il piccolo coccodrillo for years now; hopefully they wrap this up soon.

He is a very classy player, and if he can stay fit he'll be an awesome signing.

Not a bad transfer if it goes through. Aquilani provides the sort of touch Milan will be missing without Pirlo. The good thing is that he will play further up the field so Milan will have somebody to come up with the creative passes in that part of the field. I checked Aquilani's stats and he managed 33 league games which was much more than I expected so perhaps he has overcome his past injury problems. Hopefully you'll keep Cassano as well because I still don't expect Robinho to come with the genius when it is needed.

It's been awhile.

The Alberto Aquilani transfer looks pretty much certain.

AC Milan consider loan move for Tottenham's £10m-rated Crouch

Whistle

Wonder what Milan fans would make of this if true. I think he could do well in Italy given pace is not his asset, and as we all know "he's got great feet for a big man"...

It's telling he is/was far more successful in European competition and international football than the Premier League - I don't think defenders abroad quite know how to deal with him, given he's so awkward.

Aquilani: "Undoubtedly Milan's [4-3-1-2] system suits my characteristics. I can play wherever in midfield, but I am at Allegri's disposition.

A solid (despite lacking hollywood signings) mercato.

IN: Aquilani, Mexes, Taiwo, El Sharaawy, Nocerino

OUT: Sokratis, Legrottaglie, Oddo, Onyewu, Jankulovski, Pirlo and also Strasser and Merkel loaned out.

I'm quite happy with the mercato, we added depth in defence, replaced Pirlo with Aquilani, brought Nocerino to replace Flamini/Gattuso and signed El Sharaawy who is one of the most exciting prospects of his age group and will get playing time even this year.

Our squad is significantly younger and we got rid of most of the deadweight. We should be Serie A favourites, not good enough for the CL yet but we are progressing and this is good enough for me.

Ibrahimovic injured in training today, will miss the game tomorrow. Robinho is also out with injury. Inzaghi wasn't listed. Nor was the Pharaoh.

Pato-Cassano it will be, as there are no other forwards.

The positive thing is that this is by far the toughest match of the group stage and one that pretty much everyone expects us to lose. Hopefully we'll recover some players for the game with Napoli in the weekend.

Off topic. I am just wondering, if he does not get what he wants, can Pato technically sue Milan for sexual harassment?

Razz

Edit: Jokes apart, what a great performance by Nesta yesterday, turning back the years... if he starts playing like that regularly, Milan could seriously challenge in Europe.

In an interview with MilanChannel the Brazilian player admits he can not wait to play in tandem with the Italian-Egyptian gem El Shaarawy. "I want to play with him, is a guy who will do better than me, I'm sure."

Pato already a fan of Il Faraone it seems.
