If Pepe and Di Maria are injured then Madrid are fucked.

Both Di Maria and Pepe are in the squad. Mourinho said that Di Maria is not where they hoped but he still has a chance to play. Just have to wait to see how he is tomorrow. Pepe looks like he will definitely be in the XI.

Absolutely insane last 15m between Espanyol-Mirandes. Almost the whole home crowd left totally disgusted when Mirandes (WHO?) went up 0-2 and then Espanyol's coach the Argie started yelling "son unos hijos de puta".

Espanyol mounted a furious comeback to win 3-2 dramatically. Shocked

Spanish football! <Ale> You'll only see this kind of excitement in South America.

Yeah, it's said that they couldn't hold on. Would have been a brilliant story. Let's see, maybe they can still do a miracle in the 2nd leg. 1-0 or 2-1 would be enough.

--------------

So tonight is the night. Again. Was just thinking about that 'no problem if we get knocked out of the Copa, it's less fixture congestion' - actually, this is the quarterfinals already, so there are basically only 2 extra games before the final. Although they're likely to be against Valencia, it's not that bad.

the only way I would be happy winning this and then the copa, is if we win nothing else this season, in which case, I wouldn't make it out to be the biggest cup in the world, because we got pass madrid on the way. It would just be nice for pep to be able to say he has won a title ever season he has been manager.

Mourinho:
[when asked "Are you playing for your own prestige?"]
How many more trophies do I have to win in order to not play for my career? How many? Tell me. In every match I risk my own mood, being happy or miserable on the next day, nothing more.

[One of the journalists asked the same question Mourinho received]: "Are playing for your own prestige in this game?"Pep answered: I have a lot to lose. In sport there is not benefits of the doubt. So far I managed to do well, but I always have to go back to winning.

Predicted line up for Barca :

Pinto – Alves, Puyol, Pique, Abidal – Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta – Messi, Cesc, Sanchez

Same as the last EL Classico I think, what's good about this selection is Pep can change it from a 4 - 3 - 3 to a 3 - 4 - 3 very easily without making a sub....Like he did in the last game which Jose had no answer to.

Will Mourinho get out smarted again?

Callejon looks likely to replace the injured Di Maria,Khedira is injured and Arbeloa is suspended.

Won't follow the same pattern though. The change of goalkeeper ensures that Barcelona won't fall behind inside the first minute.

Not sure if serious,Valdes is much better with the ball at his feet than Pinto.I'm sure Jose will tell his players to pressure him a lot.

In other news the Spanish Andy Carroll puts Bilbao ahead cheers

CONFIRMED!

Uff. Don't know about Carvalho. He cannot possibly be match fit. Altintop? Blah....but I guess we really don't have a choice. But I like the trio up front especially with no Di Maria.

Altintop? Carvalho? WTF?

Either Mourinho is going for a 0-0 or he is clearly throwing the Copa to Barça while maintaining focus on the league.
