Still think the referee was letting Madrids players get away with too much,Alonso should have been sent off.

Valdes has been shit lately,at fault for both goals.

Valdes was positionally a bit poor on the first goal but made a decent stop to get down to the header. I wouldn't blame him for letting it out of his hands. The main fault there lies with Puyol who looked like he was trying to shield the ball rather than clear it.

Barca have clearly deteriorated this season, Madrid were even not good.

Barca should move Cesc into centre mid and rebuild a new team.

Xavi's body can't handle 50+ games a season anymore.

The same Cesc who always loses the ball, has a relatively poor first touch and positioning is nowhere near Iniesta or Xavi's level?

Rebuild a new team? Laughing

Not sure if serious or just stupid.#kneejerk

I can't believe some people want us to sack Pep or rebuild a new team because we have "only" won 3 out of 4 La Liga titles with Pep. Doh

You haven't watched us much this year have you? If you think we should replace Xavi or Iniesta in the middle for Cesc then you're seriously delusional about Cesc's ability.

Congrats to Madrid, they were just better overall. In the first 10 mins I already had a bad feeling, and once they scored it was a certainty that we would lose. Messiah's criticism of Pep is obviously exaggerated (who should take over - Luis Enrique? Frank De Boer? Oscar Garcia? Laughing ), but there's no denying that the lineup was a broken one, with faults in every line:

- Alves as a RF clearly doesn't work. He doesn't even like playing there. So why do it out of fear? Just let him play his normal game. This broke the defensive line.

- The midfield was broken again because Iniesta was not part of it. Thiago is talented, but this game was a clear illustration of the flaw in Wenger's philosophy - kids will always make mistakes and struggle to make an impact in big games.

- The attack, well, not much needs to be said there. A disaster.

Overall the team just didn't function. Fatigue (mainly mental), lack of ideas, and just sheer stupidity at times. As soon as the equaliser went in, I was shouting out 'stay calm, stabilise for the next 5 mins and don't let them counter'. And what do you know, Ronaldo scores Doh Really fucking stupid from our players. There was no need for so much panic and desperation.

Anyway, time to focus on the CL now. The way things are right now, we're going out.

Finally it seems like a leauge that was won on merit. Maybe we got lucky with this fixture in between CL as we have better squad and well rotated XI. Pep is miserable at rotation and he got the wrong Xi out today. Adriano, Thiago, Tello with tired nearly past it Xaviniesta and well Pepered Messi, we seemed very comfortable.

It seems footballing Gods lost faith in Messi and restored it back in Ozil for now! What a player Ale

You realize your starting 11 was exactly the same as against Bayern and yous have rotated less then we have this season?

And how are Xavi and Iniesta nearly past it? Wishful thinking maybe ? We will be back,we still have a more talented team,it just needs a few tweaks.

The problem is not rotation per se. The problem is that we had too many injuries in the squad this season, so most of Pep's 'rotation' has actually been enforced.

This was the most ineffectual I've ever seen Xavi and Iniesta. I think you need to move Pep on for your own sake before he turns into Wenger. What was that about keeping Tello on; Thiago in midfield and not even thinking about using Pique?

Nah, I said we've rotated well. And we have. Not lost a lot of points even when we have to play Callejon, Kaka, Higuain, Sahin, even Lass at key junctures of the season and keep XI fit for important week of the season. All your(?!) players look knackered. Pep's rotation were all glorious failures. And his trust in kids hasnt paid off. Of course injuries hadnt helped. but you've still spent a lot of money this season.

Btw nice tactic in leaving studs late by Alves and Casperhead (twice).
