"Last season [Capello] didn't come [to see Newcastle] when we had the best defensive record up to Christmas," he told reporters.

"The gaffer went to some event and Capello was there and he said: 'You should come up and see Taylor'. And Capello said: 'I'm all right for midfielders'. That did a lot for my confidence, it was almost back to the feeling I had when we got relegated."

The Montenegro coach said "the english are scared of us" or something like that. There may be some truth to that because he obviously knows the talentless hoofers can't pass the ball nor dribble properly.

If Montenegro contain the talentless hoofers's counter attacks, they may surprise. Hodgson and his players may be scared of being found out! by MONTENEGRO. Biggrin

Puro could have cut and pasted that post from any number he's previously submitted going back to 2005.

My question is this: will he EVER say anything insightful again?

Good day Bundesliga mate! I also don't know what to watch. I thought the France-Espaa match was a lock for me at 4pm, but then the Montenegros started talking about the team that's owned and controlled by the descendants of the k./h.a/z/.ar/s. scratch

2:30pm Turkey-Hungary (Come on Turcos!)
4pm France-Espaa / Bolivia-Argentina / Montenegro-team of the k/.h/a/.z/,ars
5pm Ecuador-Paraguay (what a tough game!)
7:30pm Chile-Uruguay (WOW!)
8pm Venezuela-Colombia (WOW!) cheers

That England midfield is so dead. This is the thing I don't like about Woy.

I can understand going for the experienced full backs when we got inexperienced CB partnership but yeah that midfield is overly conservative. Young or Ox for Milner and it'd look alright

Doh

that's not the formation is it though, woy is finally moving away from the 4-4-2, the midfield as I saw it showed a 4-2-3-1:
gerrard-carrick
Milner-rooney-cleverly
welbeck

I would guess milner has more defensive responsibilities than rooney or cleverly, and will end up qwith 4-3-3 at some point

welcome to the 21st century Woy cheers

Because he isn't a left winger! Either play him as the point man or in the role behind.
You're not getting anything out of Welbeck playin him left. Might as well play Ox or Young there.

he's been playing on the left for Manchester.

Or has he?

Doesn't seem to have been picked as a left winger. Ashley Cole seems to have taken that role.

He's on the left but he'll obviously float around.. He's played on both wings for United.

Yup he's played on the left, but he's doing more of a job rather than expressing himself. He's got legs which can be used breaking from midfield ala Y.Toure. Alternatively, play him as the lone forward. Just as good as bringing people into play as Rooney although he's not as big a goal threat. He's good for the team dynamic and a good reference to play from

Been at work, missed the entire game.

Did we play a 442 by any chance?

Were we inevitably dire about the 50-60 minute mark when our 2 CMs had been run off their feet trying to do the job of 3 players?

Did Milner offer nothing going forward?

If the answer is yes to all 3, do I win a prize?
