This is absolute mental of Milan. This is one of the dumbest transfers I have ever seen. Even if Pazzini is a great succes there is no reason why Cassano who has played better in the last couple of years for both club and national team should be valued less than Pazzini who has hardly endeared himself to Inter fans.

And the worst thing about this trade is that once again Cassano is deprived of Cl football. It's incredible that once again he misses out because Inter will only play in the Europa crap. Sad

I knew you would say this! I want to see Cassano in the KO stages of the CL! Last year he gets the heart problem, year before he's cup tied! Evil or Very Mad

If Cassano was an Arsenal player he would be called a #judas. And Piers Morgan would unfollow him. Lucky for him, he is not.

Don't blame him, he's had an affinity with Inter since he was a child, and its clear he's far too talented for our ambitions these days, our three best players left when it was clear the club didn't want to try and make any progress.

Pazzini in confidence is a great player, but i don't really anyone with the quality to put the crosses in that he thrives on, more sensible would be to retain Cassano and pair him with Pazzini as both had the best of each other at Samp.

Love Cassano, good luck to him.

I rated Neuton as well, was very surprised today to see they are loaning him out, specially after getting rid of so many players. Its really sad that Udinese got that CL spot. The team which finished 3rd last season could have done quite ok in the CL. This one, who knows.

But apparently the 4 unknown brasilians they have bought are pretty decent (as usual). As is Faraoni, was sad to see Inter sell half of him.

I agree with forza here. Fuck Cassano. He had problems with almost all the clubs he played for. Roma, Madrid, Sampdoria and now Milan. When you get into fights at so many clubs (3 of them big clubs) I think it's your fault and not other people.

I hear Allegri vetoed him and that all is not hunky dory between the coach and Galliani. Also, Cassano really trashed Galliani publically yesterday:

"Well, this time Im not the one who got it wrong. I had to leave. There was someone above the Coach who did something wrong and I cant stand it when people take me for a ride. When I was ill, my teammates were very close to me, but this person promised so much. He was all mouth and no trousers.

"This time I want to deal with men who let me know when things are right or wrong. I want to be told face to face what the real situation is. Elsewhere they say some things and do others instead. The promises that Milan made? Ask this other person, who is so good at turning the situation around. He gets on only with those who suck up to him, but thats not my style.

Not a good weekend if you are Baldie. Apparently he is in Madrid negotiating for Kaka...

You know Udinese, they have one of the best scouting systems in Italy and south america, and usually send these talents out on loan. Their new strategy is to farm these talents to their own clubs in England (Watford) and Spain (Granada). Some of the players they have farmed out to Watford are:

1. Forestieri, 22, was touted as a great Italian talent a few years ago, but is recently struggling to live up to that hype. He is a fantasista, in the Baggio/Messi mould.
2. Angella, 23 - another former Azzurrini player who has so far failed to live up to the hype, a decent small club level defender.
3. Neuton, 22, this brazilian kid really impressed me last season. A solid defender, IMO he is a future starter for Brazil if he continues to play like he did last season at Udinese.
4. Abdi - Swiss International midfielder, did look decent at Udinese last season as a bench player. I would have thought Udinese would keep him this season since Asamiah left, so I'm surprised to see him at Watford.
5. Leo Beleck - 19, another of their "scouted" players, he promises to be a good striking talent.
6. Cassetti, veteran Italian RB, will add some quality experience to Watford.
7. Geijo, looks like an average spanish striker, perhaps Liga fans can tell more about him.
8. Vydra, another great talent they have "scouted", CCzech youth striker who has started well for Watford.

Abdi, vydra and Pudil all very impressive so far.

Abdi is a fantastically gifted, 2 footed playmaker who is great at making time for himself on the ball - 2 goals from his 1st 3 games.

Vydra is a CF but has been playing from the left - great finisher but very light-weight for his height but understandable for his age - 2 goals from 1st 3 games.

Pudil, for me, is already the best footballing fullback in England not just the championship - hasn't got the athleticism or positional sense of A.cole but so talented.

Vydra, Abdi, Forestieri and Neuton are the pick of that, Neuton was excellent at the start of the last season, can also play LB, Abdi is a proper midfield playmaker, Forestieri as Blue9 says was one of the 'hopes' for the future a couple of years ago, so hopefully he will continue to develop,

Niang, Kaka and Diarra the three to come in by all accounts.

Don't know anything about Niang, and don't really see the need/want for the other two. Kaka is not Kaka anymore (but in all fairness, probably still better than Robinho/Boateng/El Shaarawy), and we have enough talentless hoofers and kickers in midfield without the need to add yet another in Diarra.

Getting Kaka would be so silly, specially because even if Real agree on a loan, Milan will still have to pay huge wages. Why get rid of Ibra, if you can pay those kind of wages? There are much better players out there than Kaka, for that kind of money.

What I don't get is this FFP excuse - coz Milan were much better off in terms of FFP as compared to Inter last season, and then they got rid of all those big wages of the half dozen old legends like Nesta, Inzaghi, Seedorf, etc... Then they also sold Ibra and Silva for big money and big wages saves. Surely now Milan should have money to spend big? Instead, Inter have easily outspent Milan again this summer.

IMO Galliani's FFP is just an excuse, a smokescreen. Berlu just does not want to his money.

Yea, but i don't understand much of what goes on at this club anymore, the ambition, the will to dominate and rule Europe has gone completely,

Looks like Kaka could be off tonight, Galliani sees the tax difference as immovable and isn't travelling to spain.

This much is obvious, especially since the Lodo Mondadori last summer. Fininvest had to pay a fine of 560 M for that alone and several sources claimed that that was what pulled the plug on our last mercato as well (we were supposedly lining up Hamsik, according to Raiola).

Furthermore, with Berlusconi trying to get back in politics, how on earth could he justify splashing millions on a football club at a time of economic crisis?

I understand the above so I don't mind a transitional period, even if it takes longer than what we have been used to, as long as there's a plan. Plus, I'm fairly certain that if Berlusconi got an offer right now he'd sell, at least a stake in the club. I guess that's why they're trying to improve the balance sheet via player sales, cutting down on costs etc.

Surely Galliani can see where there is a problem. I can understand that Milan are covered at CB, even though the quality is lacking unless Zapata can rediscover his form or Acerbi lives up to his potential quickly. I can also understand RB, both are talented. But LB?? All 3 are shite. Milan should get rid of Mesbah & Vila, and get a top LB - Antonini can be back up.

Balzaretti would have been a great buy for Milan. Cheap, quality, and can deliver the kind of service Pazzini needs.
