Yeah, I'd say a good team. Will be a great team by 2014 WC with Remy in place of Ribery and Varane/M'biwa (but could also fade like Sakho) in place of Koscielny/Rami.

No one knows what Blanc would do. But the obvious pitfalls/mistakes..

Mexes, Evra ahead of Koscielny, Clichy despite amateur mistakes after being far more experienced. In Evra's case, he's comfortably past it.

Solidity of Valbeuna, Menez starting ahead of indv. brilliance of HBA. Although if Blanc used HBA in big games as a sub like Pires in 2000, it'd be acceptable.

Asking Giroud/Benz to start together and ask one of the two to play Remy-like role. A big gut-feeling this could happen.

Gourcuff getting playing time, or even worse, paired with Nasri as they play side ways passes to each other. Sleep

Alou in the squad as 1st choice backup DM/CM. Together with Matuidi fetish, little wonder Blanc left out Mavuba, Capoue. M'Vila injury would unsettle the squad. Easily the most important player of the squad. But M'Vila himself had an average season compared to Capoue/Mavuba.

Don't want to guess his starting XI. I'd like this:

Lloris-Debuchy-Rami-Koscielny-Clichy-M'Vila-Cabaye-Nasri-Ribery-Benzema-HBA

Get rid of Koscliently, Nasri and HBA (France won't win anything with EPL sh!t in their team). Put in Mexes, Gourcuff and Menez instead.

He's already formed a partnership with Rami-Mexes. Don't see why you'd want to break that up at this late stage.

For all his all-round capabilities & potential, Mexes deserves better application for a 30 year old 'Pro'. Far too many instances where he seems Braindead, error prone.

Blanc, like you, wants Serie A & ex-Serie A being well represented in NT. But Mexes, Menez & Gourcuff, of that one should be a squad player, one certain sub and another shouldn't even be in France 'B' squad.

The most deluded fans on this board are the Arsenal ones without a doubt.

It's hilarious the way they rate nearly all their players as one of the best in the world in their position, yet they never come close to winning anything and only finished 1 point ahead of Spurs!

Mexes is easily better than Koschelny,I haven't seen either play for France but at club level Mexes is better and has proven it consistently for many years.

Mexes is injury prone, error prone and hasn't been consistent for last three seasons even at club level. For France, he's considerably worse.
