always thought he would be the perfect false nine (and german) and gomez replacement for us i somehow hate it if true. i want dortmund to be a real competitor in the league and international. also goetze is not the clinical finisher yet.

Fuck that... Bayern already have three excellent strikers, no need for this false 9 shit.

I wouldn't mind us signing Gomez as a "Plan B" option. He would have to accept a bench role though....but my guess is he will go to England. Chelsea or Arsenal is my bet.

He wouldn't accept any bench role. Otherwise he could also stay. But he would never accept it and it would also be a waste imo.

This is a real shame. Is it my imagination, or did I not read something from a Bayern Munich official the other day which mentioned the importance of competitiveness in the league?

This Bayern team is going to be pretty disgusting though. Anything less than 2 champions leagues in the next 5 years is a disapointment. Barcelona going through a period of relative change, and Xavi is getting older.

Real Madrid look set for a managerial change. And Man City/PSG don't currently have the managers or the teams to truly deliver.

Sickening, just sickening. So much for "spanische Verhältnisse", this is "englische Verhältnisse", but worse. Nothing will ever change.

Nice timing, Mario.

Move confirmed by Dortmund:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/23/mario-gotze-signs-bayern-dortmund

This is not ideal to say the least 2 days before a CL SF. Have Bayern done this to destabilize Dortmund before this massive game? Wouldn't the classy thing for Gotze to do is wait for a couple of weeks longer to accept the offer?

Then again, surely Dortmund will be able to field a very good team with all the CL money plus another 37m, no?

As long as Klopp remains there, they will keep pushing Bayern every season. They will find a proper replacement, just like they did in Sahin's and Kagawa's case.

That is realism based on principles, not mere statisics! If money was everything, Man Qaeda wouldn't have finished at the bottom of their CL group.

Besides, you should really learn to link to your post directly you worst.

Sounds like bitter German fancy words for: "Fey, im sorry, you were right!"

It's okay though, im used to it

Poor Blut, he is so naive isn't he?

Anyway, sickening move. And shows again why it's a one team league afterall. Yes, I know Man Utd wins the league as many times, if not more then Bayern. But the difference is that we can't take the best players from direct competition. And dont come with RVP, cause Arsenal havent been a competitor for years. Also the money difference is nowhere near as big as with Bayern and the rest. Shows again how well Man utd are run.

Anyway, good luck to Pep. Think he will fuck it up though. You can't beat a season like they have this year.

Dortmund will be alright. Most people only get to see the goals Lewandowski scores, but they don't get to see all the sitters he misses. It's not a big loss.

Losing Götze is not a catastrophe either. The kid can play, but there's more hype to his game than what he actually does on the pitch. He's like Wilshere in the hype department, the big difference is that Götze can play and is not the product of the media.

When Dortmund lost Sahin, Kagawa replaced him and they went on to win the Bundesliga. When Dortmund lost Kagawa, Götze replaced him and they reached the semifinal in the CL.
When Dortmund lose Götze to Bayern, blut replaces him and they'll go on to win the CL.

No Dante? I think he has proven himself this year no?

Anyway, no wonder that story about Gotze got leaked. That fat fuck of a Hoeness is in a tax-doding case. Is he going to jail? Im sure he leaked it to bild.

[Müller's] special power is to find space, space invisible to the non-Raumdeuter, and spread into it like a plume of smoke, or a form of insidious footballing dry rot … The fact that Müller coined this term himself in a newspaper interview makes it even better. He’s sidled in there, that sneaky Raumdeuter. He’s found a niche and filled it with himself, no mean feat for a man who doesn’t really look like a footballer at all but instead has an endearingly amateurish air, tousle‑haired and skinny-legged, like a junior doctor on a fun run.

Wouldn't make any sense, but going by Pep's transfer record in the past, it can't be ruled out either. He'll likely demand ridiculous wages, too. Bayern simply don't need him.
