It will take a while before anyone to reach the heights of xavi/iniesta, not thiago, gotze or anyone, we are talking about two of the best to ever do it.

Thiago is more like deco than any other bar a player, he has the Brazilian touch and a bit of a edge and dirty side like deco, I expect him to be as good are better.

All flash and no substance? He has the best goal record of any young player in the Brazilian League since Romario!

Blut, Neymar is a forward or specifically an inside forward (forward player on the wings in a 4 - 3 - 3). Thus he relies on service from the midfield. Now anyone who has watched Brazil ever since 2010 will tell you that their midfield is shit, full of workhorses like Ramires, Sandro and obscure players from the Brazilian League who have started for them over the last year. Players who can barely pass the ball 10 yards straight or trap a football. Their team has been an absolute mess until very recently, with a pot bellied Ronaldinho strolling around Wembely and Fabiano still in the squad etc Germany, especially when that game was played had a much better team than Brazil, especially in the midfield and thus dominated them. Gotze was always going to have the better game out of them both in that match as he had a much better platform than Neymar to produce a good performance. Brazil where just a bunch of individuals thrown together while Gotze was playing with teammates from Dortmund and a Bayern team that play very similar to Dortmund.

Trying to blame that on Neymar is just stupid.

"Neymar's style of play is totally au contraire to the Barca philosophy"

But he has shown glimpses of the Barca style of play, obviously he is not going to do it on a regular basis for teams that play a total different way. Let me reiterate, Neymar has all the attributes to play the Barca way. To play as a inside forward or a False 9 for us when Messi isn't playing. The only thing he has to adapt his mentality, he already has all the tools to perform for us.

no it`s the best thing, but only when we win the CL

next season there would have been a decline, you really can`t play such a level again, especiallly after a possible treble, the hunger and the will would not be the same

pep will bring fresh ideas and new motivation to the players, because they have again to fight for there starting place

and pep was on the market, he wouldn`t have been on the market in the summer 2014

It's the right time to retire for him. Hopefully, he'll end his career in the most perfect way possible. He deserves it.

This is the best Bayern team I've ever seen. Now they'll just need luck to be in their favor next week. Another flukey loss like last year and I give up on the universe.

Jupp Heynckes is a true great, a living legend of football, not just German football. What impresses me most is that with all the success he had elsewhere he never forgot his Mönchengladbach roots, "his home" as he calls it in that interview. Despite their idiotic fans treating him like shit and making death threats the last time he worked there as a manager that is.

One of Germany's all time greats, important part of the best German national team ever and key player of the legendary Mönchengladbach side of the 1970s. And a very successful career as a manager, reaching the CL final with every team he coached that had participated (!), won it once. He'd be more than deserving another title.

Mach's gut Jupp, schade dass Du den Hampelmann beim DFB nicht ersetzen willst. Ale

hmm i don`t know if bayern is willing to buy an new CB, give van buyten a new contract and we are fine

Deisler 2.0 i don`t know, badstubers first operation was an utter fail, he always had problems, the new dr. is from the usa, Deisler had serious knee troubles, i think its easier to handle ligaments problems then gristle problems (deislers problem)

In the first half of the season until he got injured, Badstuber had the best season of his life, he really was immense, the defender of the league until then. Those injuries are really unfortunate, couldn't have come at a worse time.

Similar thing can be said about Kroos. It looked like he finally found his place in this Bayern team, running the show in many matches, including big ones, looking truly awesome. That injury really ruined his season. But still, his contribution to Bayern's season has been considerable, so even if he shouldn't be able to play again this season (he may be able to play the Pokal final), the titles Bayern won / may win will also be his.

I wonder if it was a blessing in disguise with Kroos' injury. Otherwise we wouldn't have played with Robben that much, who was always a goal thread. Defense was good enough anyway. Don'T get me wrong, I like Kroos especially this season but Robben has the X factor too.

it`s to easy to say, we looked as good with müller on the right and Kroos in the middle

i think it`s not really important who plays for bayern, Kroos or Müller, MM or MG, in the end our organisation, the will and team effort made the difference

but you said it right, everyone thought Kroos would give us more stability in midfield, in the end it was the team effort from the whole team

Difficult to say. With Kroos in the centre, you gain additional stability and especially more precision in possession, as hardly ever loses a ball. Not to mention his goal threat and fine technique. Furthermore, Müller moves to the right side where his trademark runs to unsettle the defence are more effective, in addition to his dangerous crosses. Robben on the wing makes you more direct and he offers more of a goal threat from there.

Bayern's major strength this season was their adaptability, so I don't really think that you have to prefer one over the other. Be glad that you have options.

As barca have demonstrated, to be truly successful you need a few c**ts in the team. Eventually you'll have a whole stadium full of fans who are c**ts, then you'll know you really made it.

Apparently, Guardiola wanted to sign Neymar, but Hoeneß vetoed the deal!

http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussball/bundesliga/1305/Artikel/bayern-muenchen-pep-guardiola-wollte-neymar-haben-von-uli-hoeness-umgestimmt.html

The reason was that Bayern had some bad experience with players who were 'imported directly' from South America in the past, especially Breno. Hence they agreed to sign Götze instead, who is a 'similar type of player' (really?).

According to his father, Neymar seriously considered joining Bayern, knowing that Pep will work there.
