So there is nothing to worry about then, since Barcelona don't sign Germans.

Good piece on BVB (German article):

BVB: Der Glanz der frühen Gegenwart

Spätestens mit dem Erreichen des Champions-League-Finals 2013 hat sich Borussia Dortmund in Richtung eines Schwergewichts im Klubfußball entwickelt. Anders als nach dem Triumph in der Königsklasse vor 16 Jahren geht der BVB nun mit seinem auch wirtschaftlichen Quantensprung vernünftig um. Die Rasanz der Entwicklung ist für die Verantwortlichen der Borussia allerdings noch ungewohnt.

Götze back in training with the team.

http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussball/championsleague/1305/News/mario-goetze-trainiert-mit-fitness-coach-kein-mannshcaftstraining-borussia-dortmund.html

Edit: Sky are reporting now that he had to stop training after a few minutes because of the pain he felt in his leg.

Very sad that we'll likely not see this hugely gifted lad in the final. Dortmund need both, him and Hummels, in the final.

i really want a strong dortmund team next year

the money is there, a dortmund blog is already creating the team for the next season

some believe that lewa stays, because dortmund don`t wanna do a leverkusen (ze roberto, ballack, lucio)

Sokratis is already there, here are possibly other targets, including there transfer fee

- eriksen 16 Mio
- DE Bruyne 17,5
- Pizzaro 1 Mio
- Johnson 4 Mio (hoffenheim)
- Martínez 25 Mio Porto ( or Benteke 25 Mio Aston villa)
- Bernard 12 Mio mineiro

Pizzaro would be a smart buy actually. Still has that nose for a goal, and skills to boot.

De Bruyne is class, not entirely sure about Eriksen. Dortmund should also try to poach a few more German youngsters.

Looking forward to Leitner, Bittencourt et al next season. More youngsters should be promoted to the first team and get more playing time, best way to strengthen their bench.

If they do that, they wont be a force in the Bundesliga very soon Laughing.

Seriously the art of scouting, is what got them out of trouble again. That should be their policy, players like the de Bruyne and Benteke, who I both recommanded years ago already, could be signed for less that half a year ago. And what makes them so much more worth this year? Both players stood out...at relegation clubs. Now de Bruyne is a pure footballer, I can see that work. But Benteke, mind you that in the EPL there are tons of typical big, strong relegation negroes that are made look better then they actually are, because the entire team hoofs the ball just to them.

As if BVB of all clubs don't know the art of scouting. Kagawa anyone?

Thing is, once you reach a certain status after being successful for a few years, it becomes a whole lot more difficult to sign promising players on the cheap, you may experience that, too, one distant day in the future when Feyenoord has a bit of success...

Plus, once you have won things, you also look for established, proven players to help you right from the start, in addition to young, unproven ones. At least that's how it should be. De Bruyne, for example, has proven himself in the Bundesliga and hence is much less of a risk than some promising young kid from elsewhere.

Nonsense! De Bruyne is actually a lesser player then he was the year before. A year of relegation football, certainly didnt made him any better. Yes, he played in the Bundesliga, but what makes him worth twice as much then, I wonder. If I can tell deBruyne would be a good footballer for every sub-top club team in a big league, professional scouts certainly should be able to see that. As for Feyenoord, we grow our own players Blut. ok

That year of 'relegation football' did him a ton of good, he is hardly a "lesser footballer", that's utter tosh. Besides, Werder wasn't caught in the relegation battle for most of the season. But that he has experienced a pressure situation like that will only help his development.

Playing well for Werder, especially in the matches against BVB themselves, only helps your market value. ok

No, the one that ended 2-1, in which Werder had a number of good chances. The one in the first half of the season, when Kicker was refering to a 'starker Werder Bremen'...

Besides, it totally helped Reus' development during his Gladbach days. Not only did he almost single handedly saved them from relegation, Gladbach were the revelation the season afterwards, and Reus won the player of the year award. Reus now is one of Dortmund's most important players.

Pressure situations, be it relegation or knock-out matches, are invaluable experience for young players.

It is good and early mental education for players. Of course it can also retard a young player from developing.

Have to love Kloppo. Very Happy I take that literally - the pressing of Dortmund in the first 25 minutes of the CL final was unreal. If they can keep that kind of intensity up for more than 45 minutes, they'll become unplayable, seriously. Gegenpressing V2.0, now that Bavaria copied V1.0. Vorsprung durch Technik (und Taktik)... good news, Lewa won`t be sold to Bayern

let`s see what they need, they have 100 million to spend

next summer they could go for Dzeko, then he has only 1 year left in his contract

-----------Weidenfeller

Piscek--Hummels--Subotic--Schmelzer

-----Bender------Gündogan

Kuba-----xxxxxxxxx------Reus

----------Lewa

Bench:
Sokratis
Kehl
Sahin
Großkreutz

what they need:
2nd quality striker
2-3 new attacking options, some of this calibre (de bruyne, erikson, son............)
