Gündogan

he has become such a beast, unbelievable, already one of the best passers in the game, but you have to say it`s easier to pass with 50 % possession and quick counter attacks then it is for bayern with 65 % possession, you have simply more space ahead of you, and the opponent is then not that organized ahead of there box, changes not the fact that he is a top quality CM and would fit into bayern as well

Lewandowski is joining bayern, who could be the replacement?

volland (great talent, but is not his best position)
dzeko (i doubt it, his salary is far to big)
diouf (would be a great deal, he is very clinical but more a centre striker)
Szalai (from mainz, great player with future, he is more a lewa type)

they should buy both, diouf and szalai, schieber is shit

dzeko is a no go, he would also destroy the salary structure

it will be either

Dzeko (who would have to accept a massive salary cut)

or

Kiessling

the most underrated striker in the Bundesliga

my favourite would be

obviously

Klose

but I cannot see him leaving Rome

Kiessling? "far" to old ^^, no not really, he is having a good sesason, but i think that he lacks the class outside of die Bundesliga

klose = to OLD

Dzeko would be massive, but unrealistic

The replacement is already there...

Reus the 'false 9' vs. Frankfurt, scoring a hattrick and securing BVB the win despite having a man less on the pitch for most of the match, thanks to the 'real 9' Schieber having a mare.

This guy never ceases to amaze me. As I wrote elsewhere, a real alternative on that position for the national team, too.

I don't want to be gratuitously sceptical, but there is only one man in the world who has successfully made that "false 9" position his own at all levels. For everyone else, it's just nice speculation at the moment.

It would be folly in the extreme for Dortmund not to replace Lewandowski, and life after Klose for the national team looks a little uncomfortable until one has more proof that someone can make a strikerless system work, or until Reus can become a genuine striker. Even the indomitable Spanish were hardly free-scoring or comfortable without a proper no.9 until the final...

Reus is the most complete attacking player in Germany in the sense that he is by far the most versatile. And he is very clinical, something that is quite rare for someone who is not an out-to-out striker. He has an excellent shot (much better than Klose's, for instance), his movement is top notch as is his game intelligence. So yes, I do believe that he could play the false (or true for that matter) 9 position well.

By moving Reus up front Dortmund would have to find an replacement for him instead of Lewandowski, which should be an easier task considering the number of truly good attacking midfielders in Germany these days, especially compared to strikers.

In principle, I do believe that Germany could play a system without an out-to-out striker successfully. Our attacking midfielders are more clinical than Spain's (not just Reus, Kroos and especially Müller, but Götze and even Özil score quite a few goals).

Allez makes good point.

Slightly off topic, but do any of you sneaky Germans know where the best place on the interweb would be to purchase Bundesliga kits? In particular, the BVB, Hamburg and Werder Bremen shirts. For the most affordable price. And if it's not too much to ask, with a nice well cooked bratwurst and Bavarian ale thrown in (I know how much you lot vslue your value. Involve me in your circle of trust).

Not a bad replacement for Lewandowski at all, if true. He would have to accept a considerable wage cut though...

Could see him doing really well in the Dortmund system.

and the dementi is already out, well they did the same with the sahin transfer, one option could be:

dzeko could stay for another year, and lewandowski as well

would mean that dzeko has just one year left in his contract

a super sub should not cost more then 13-18 million in 2014, doable for dortmund, the salary should be then the main problem

Pot 3 is ok, but ideally, they can go far in the competition this season and make pot 2 for the next. Pot 3 still means tough groups.

To be fair, Hummels has been lacking form in the last few weeks / months, probably because he is simply tired / knackered. He can really do with a good rest. Santana was actually improving lately, so maybe BVB can compensate this loss better than a few weeks ago.

At this rate the Bundesliga will become like the SPL. In terms of competitiveness not quality. With Bayern buying possibly Dortmunds best player(or 2nd/3rd best after Reus/Gundogon?) and Lewondowski probably leaving amongst others maybe(Hummels, Reus?)Dortmund won't be able to compete with Bayern next year.

I can only see Bayern getting better with Guardiola and Gotze. And no doubt this won't be the last top signing for Bayern this summer. Bayerns financial mite compared to Dortmunds inability to pay top wages and expensive signings means Bundesliga will go the way of the SPL where there is only one team with a chance of winning the league.

Say what you want about La Liga but it's a whole lot more exciting watching two giants go head to head than watch one team walk it.Real Madrid can potentially compete with Barcelona forever because of Ca$$$$$$$$H, they just have to spend it right and utilize their players correctly. But Dortmund have huge limits based on their debt and lack of funds.

affraid

agree

Dortmund will now unravel

Hummels and Lewa to leave as well

Shocked

Hoeness is in the process of destroying the Bundesliga

we are in danger of seriously becoming a one-team-league

Klopp will be gutted as well

ie

at the Brazil 2014 desaster, which is inevitable

he will become the next Nationaltrainer

I wonder what blut makes of that
