Outrageous assist. Say what you want about Cesc but I can't think of many players in world football who give a better final ball.

I could think of (at least) 11 - Pirlo, Silva, Nasri, Xavi, Iniesta, Ozil, Goetze, Reus, Cabaye, Modric, Swine who could have done that. But of course Fabregas playing most advanced is able to do it more.

Pirlo's move and left foot slide pass to Di Natale was fantastic as well.

Based on whole tournament as opposed to just the final (inwhich case of course you'd have to pick pretty much the entire Spain team):

Buffon
Boateng, Ramos, Pepe, Alba
Pirlo, Khedira,
Moutinho, Zidane, Iniesta
Mandzukic

Best player: Pirlo
Best goal: Carroll Vs Sweden (entirely subjective and wholly bias, but nothing quite tingles the end of my bellend more than a majestic old school 10/10 technically perfect cross and header. Especially in this age of teams passing the ball into the net. Glorious)
Best pass: Pirlo to Di Natale VS Spain. Skinned Busquets and the weight of the pass was utterly perfect. Props to Schweini's pass to Gomez for the 1st against the Dutch)
Worst player: Ashley Young. Given his contributions to England prior to the tournament, there couldn't have been a player more utterly disappointing

Young player of the tournament: Alan Dzagoev

Sure. But JJ Boateng was Germany's best defender by some distance IMO. I very much liked the cut of his jib during this tournament. Would have liked to include Maggio, but he didn't play as many games as one would assume to be the requisite criteria to make this hallowed team (He looks the real deal though. Bright future)

Zidane is of course the exception. Even retired with his feet up eating croissants and painting the Eiffel Tower, he is still > Xavi Ale

There's this guy Barry Glenndenning from one of them Khazar media and he chose Iniesta as the best player in Euro 2012 but didn't include him in the tournament's best XI. Casillas
Coentrao - Ramos - De Rossi - Alba
Pirlo - Xavi - Gerrard
Iniesta - Ozil
Fabregas

Comments:
- Two LB's, coz they both were better than any RB at Euro 2012.
- CB's sucked in this tournament as well, so I am sticking De Rossi in there to mock them.
- 3 DLP's, coz they were the highlight of the tournament.
- No striker, coz they kinda underwhelmed. It would have been Ibra if Sweden had reached at least the semis. Torres if he started for Spain. Balotelli, if he had scored in the final. Gomez, if he had won the golden boot. But none of that happened, so I am reluctantly sticking Cesc in there. Is the future flooding with False 9's? Spalletti & Totti might be smiling.
- Commiserations to Buffon, Pepe, Lahm, Alonso, Moutinho, Ronaldo, Dzagoev.

Best player: Pirlo

Best goal: Ibra

Worst player or rather the most disappointing player: Van Persie and the entire Dutch team.

My team, Will will try to pick a team that I think will actually play well in a system and not just the best players

----------------Iker

---Selassie----Pique--Ramos--Alba

(Would have gone with Pepe, but Pepe and ramos equals brain farts, they need someone clam next to them, could have gone with Bruno as well)

-----------------Busquets

----------Iniesta-----------Moutinho

(before anyone says anything about busquets, I simply say what rinus michels said, you know a Dmed is doing his job when he isn't getting noticed, bar one or two little errors, he has been perfect, couldn't choose Sami, because he would be too interested in scoring goals and not protecting the defence.

No Pirlo, because one has to make to many changes in their team to accommodate him( two runners)

----Silva------Cesc----Dzagoev

(no ronaldo, looking back he scored two goals against pretty much the worst defense at the euros the dutch, so i don't count that has much, 1 goal to help his team and zero assist, would have gone with Mandzukic and ozil for cesc and silva before the final)

It is fine, if you want to crowbar your favourite player in (even though no-one else has), just put him in. At least you admit he was virtually invisible.

BTW I noticed gary busquets doing a khedira in the matches against Chelsea in the CL. You splastics were quick to jump on messi for missing the penalty, but I didn't hear a word against golden boy busquets, I guess that cloak of invisibility works on football forums as well as on the pitch
