Why are you guys talking about Silva like its actually realistic. Thats just Jaime's pipe dream Laughing
Silva has just won the league there, is earning silly money, he is happy, City are happy with him and more importantly no amount of money could tempt City from selling a player they want to keep.

Super Progress 2012 wrote:He always was along with Cristiano(poster). Then we have Fade, Torrente, TM who are more reasonable. I think it is a bit naive to think we can have Modric,Alonso,Khedira,Sahin competing for 2 places and Silva,Ozil,Di Maria competing for 2 places. Why would Silva go from a secure place in a great team that is PROGRESSING to a team in the same position to fight for places? It makes no sense at all.

Not to mention that having so many big players mean Mourinho is stiffled in terms of tactical flexibility. Suppose there is a game where we need to play with a 3 man midfield. Then we would have Ronaldo,Ozil,Di Maria,Silva competing for 2 places. Having positions in the team we can change when needed is good.

Facking runners! <Ale>

Nah - Modric, Alonso, Khedira, and Sahin is like 3 competing for 2 places (since our dear Nuri will always be in the VIP box!)

There are almost no instances in which a three man midfield is required so problem solved with the attackers. Ale

It is my pipe dream but it is in the papers so it is worth discussing imo.

Silva does hate the mancunian weather that much is common knowledge so maybe there is incentive for him to return to Spain. Ale

Arbeloa and Albiol both extended through the end of 2015-16. Arbeloa is not surprising since he is one of Jose's trusted soldiers but with Albiol seeing so little of the pitch I am surprised he signed a new deal.

Doh Well hopefully the time away does him some good. The eight million upfront is good because even if we pay slightly more to buy him back, it's basically a cash advance which we pay with interest later. Let's face it, Mou was never going to give him a chance and he (and the rest of our canteranos) is better off away than rotting on our bench.

Our canteranos have a better record after being sold than yours do. You only sell yours after giving potential buyers a glimpse of how shit they are with your first team.

Yes well, I'm sure if Farsa wanted to sell one of the good ones like Thiago they could make some decent CAS$$$H still we sell the sh!t ones for pretty decent fees. I still laugh at Javier Balboa to Benfica for 7m or whatever it was. Of course we ended up paying them back with the Di Maria and Coentrao transfers. Sad

But seriously, I was always wondering how for example Villarreal knew what to expect from Diego Lopez, since he wasn't getting any playing time behind Casillas. And Real still got 5m euros for him I think.

Apparently Modric has agreed personal terms with you lot. All left is for clubs to agree transfer fee. Congrats. Gladd he will still be playing in white.

You're talking as if the clubs agreeing a fee is the easy part, and personal terms are the hard part Laughing

Most major deals in Spain or involving Spanish clubs are done with the player's agent and the buying club agreeing/discussing terms in advance.

modric joining will mean madrid moving to a 3 man midfield, which will mean better football a more dominating type of play, this will service them even better in 36 of thier 38 games, but if tito is a good manage, and they play sami, alonso and modric against, busquets, xavi, iniesta. thier will be only one winner in that

So officially Dani Carvajal joins Leverkusen on a 5m euro transfer fee + 2m in variables. Buyback clause is 6,5m after the first year, 7m after the second year, and 8m after the third year.

According to AS, Morata will be registered with the first team. A bit odd because it sounds like Joselu is going to be sold and that would really only leave Jese in attack for RM Castilla's season in the second division.

Modric deal is getting closer. Rumour is that Man Utd and Chelsea have dropped out of the race. PSG are said to be offering 40m but Modric is not interested in playing in France so hopefully that will work in our favour.

Curiously (as we are about to pay 35m for Modric) the club thinks that 40m for Javi Martinez is too much. Rolling Eyes

I'm still not entirely convinced Modric is good enough to be a starter at Real Madrid. For €35 its a risky transfer IMO, when you consider a DM and a RB are necessary signings.
