draxler > affelay

neustädter > busquets Very Happy

serious, neustädter is the best midfielder of the current season (he got a deserved call up for the friendly against netherlands), the next big thing is also rode, he has everything to be a great box to box player, will probably end in dortmund

eintracht gave us a good fight, they play some quality stuff

reus with an world class free kick as opener

the big 3 show there class and will qualify for the cl again, with ease, thats what germany lacked for almost 10 years, consistency in the top flight

Just seen Adam Szalai is (or was before today) joint topscorer in Germany! And Joselu has just netted his 5th for Hoffenheim. Both played for Castilla!

You're welcome.

This has always been the problem with the Bundesliga. If Bayern play as they can they would win it every year. The league can still have strong teams in it as la liga has shown, winning europa league etc, but without teams competing at the top it is not as interesting. Basically the last few years of Bayern fucking it up as been beneficial to the Bundesliga as a whole, so you better hope that you don't have total domination and humiliation.

Bayern is just extremely motivated to show that they are better than bvb, and the bvb has a normal slip after 2 years of total domination and pulverizing every bundesliga record

i would say the same happened last year in la liga, where madrid showed this will

Well it's true that the Bundesliga is more exciting when Bayern has a shite year. Basically anyone can win it then. But to say it's an one-team league is harsh if you look at the last 20 years or so, one can see that Man Utd won more titles then Bayern in the same period. And we don't call the EPL a one-team league. Bayern have the name of being a well run club, but to win less titles then Utd with lesser competitors, one can argue if that's really the truth. Or perhaps it's United who are really well run! Cause Bayern can buy anyone in their league they want, Man Utd can't do that.

Manchester United.

I google translated the English journalist's response (we here in England have a divine right not to have to learn foreign languages):

The Bundesliga is very "trendy" in the UK - but more because of the organization as the quality of football. People love the youth, the cheap tickets, the full stadiums, standing room and beer in the stands (although the recent increase in violence in German football is a likely consequence). If you consider only the football, I do not think it's appropriate to refer to the Bundesliga as the number one in Europe. Dortmund is a fantastic team. To fully exploit their potential, they need to win the title.

But Spain has the two best teams on the continent. England still has the best mix of quality, competitive balance and exciting football. Sure, Chelsea and Manchester City have experienced a nightmare in the first round. But the mere fact that it is such a big surprise if English teams eliminated so early shows, but they are fundamentally strong.

The last eight Champions League finals have reached four English, two Italian, a Spanish and a German team. Who knows what the future holds, but it's too early to proclaim the Bundesliga as the best league in Europe.

Absolutely everything he says there is spot on

Ale Ale

Bundesliga is quite "cool" at the moment, just like the German NT were in 2010 World Cup.

Just like the German NT in 2012, for all this youth and trendiness and coolness and proclamations of guaranteed future DOMINATION, to really proclaim it as the best requires overcoming the psychological barriers to WIN tournaments.

No doubt Germany, both club and national level, have the tools in terms of natural skills, but it's not enough. Bundesliga hasn't won a European title since 2001. How can it possibly be the best until it starts putting teams into finals regularly and winning them?

Germany/Bundesliga are currently the Arsenal of circa 2008 - lots of people talk admiringly about them, but they still lack the killer instinct necessary to truly be called number 1.

Good league though from a fans perspective.

Will make it all the more satisfying when Spurs knock a few Bundesliga clubs out the Europa League on the way to Glory Ale

So Stevens got the sack for have a poor run of games. That's harsh. It's not like he should be a lot higher with this squad. Also Huntelaar is such a breathtaking failure. Can't believe that the judean press in this land keeps writing him into the NT rather then the legend that is van Persie.

Bayer Leverkusen bought Arkadiusz Milik from Gornik Zabrze for around 2.5m euro. Not sure, if he will be good enough to be on Lewandowski level in a few years, but he's actually talented and it looks like a gamble worth taking. He's similar to Lewandowski in the fact that he can play both positions: as second striker and as lone striker.
