Ah ok so this is after his stint in Barcelona. Still bizarre that I don't remember it at all!

Spent most of it injured or out the 1st team if i remember, only lasted a season before tottenham anyway,

blutgraetsche wrote:So many Ex-Inter players going to Milan (directly or on detours) and vice versa these days that one has to wonder if the fans actually even give a fuck? Imagine this happening in the 1990s or even earlier, simply not possible. Either the rivalry has cooled off so much that nobody is even arsed now, or the priorities have just changed: if a player is deemed good enough or even great, it doesn't matter what club he played for before.

The Milan derby is quite different from the usual city rivalries... its not born out of hatred, but of a different philosophy. Its not about bitterness, its more about bragging rights. Like Pirlo mentioned, players have gone from one club to another from the days of Meazza.

But you are right, last decade or so this has become much more frequent. I think since the success of Pirlo & Seedorf, Galliani loves buying ex-Inter players - it makes him feel clever if they play better than what they did at Inter. But most of the time, they flop. But it does not stop him, its becoming an obsession... Balotelli, Vieri, Ronaldo, Muntari, Favalli, Brocchi, Filkor, Fossati... its a long, ever-increasing list.

Let me make a prediction, if Santon ever comes back to Italy, I think it will be to Milan Razz

Today has been so fucking weird, mate. After such a frustrating mercato, last night I was hoping we sign at least one of Kuzmanovic/Schelotto/Biglia before the deadline. And today we have Kuzmanovic for 1m, Schelotti for 3.5m (+ 50% of Livaja), Laxalt for 2.3m and Kovacic for 11m. Out of nowhere. And we also managed to get rid of Mariga's wages.

And now I hear we have (rumoured) signed Laxalt, some talented Uruguan kid who yesterday scored a goal in the South American U20 championship.

What is going on? Is the real Marco Branca back? I suspect that in 2010, Galliani kidnapped Branca and was impersonating him with a mask to screw Inter. But today they found the real Marco Branca all tied up in the basement of Guiseppe Meazza, and he immediately got to work Razz

I haven't been this excited about Inter's transfers for a while.

ehe, it's the Balotelli effect cheers

Tbf, Blue, I still see only randomness here, but sure I won't complain for three/four new faces in midfield - and none of them of my age!

At the moment, I'm mostly looking forward to see Kuzmanovic

In the end we didn't got a CB and a centreforward, which we also badly needed, but our squad has more holes than a colander so it was impossible to patch them all.

Apparently, there is negotiation going on for Dragovic and Icardi, but most likely to get them in June. That's the young CB and young striker for ya...

I am more excited about young Kovacic. I think he is exactly what Strama has been asking for all along, and we might shift from 3-5-2 to 4-2-3-1 now.

Oh don't get my wrong, I'm also excited about him.
All that cash (well, for us, how times are changed eeh) on a young playmaker that has only superlative reviews looks exciting.
It's just that I learned of his existence on this planet 2 hours ago... =D
Let's hope that they go on and field him this time, I'm very courious.

Oh btw, if there was a competition for the ugliest collection of wide players, I think we would be the undisputed world champions now

LOL, as long as they play well, they don't have to fall back on a career in modelling Wink

In a way, I am glad Paulinho turned us down. We bought 4 midfielders for that money, hell, we bought ourselves an entire midfield!!

Laxalt - Kovacic - Kuzmanovic - Schelotto

And Kovacic seems to be more like the player we were desperately missing (a midfield director) than Paulinho (box-to-box). I am going to sleep well tonight, and can't wait for the next Inter game...

Apparently Kaka to Milan could still be on. If they manage to sell Robinho and Abate they will scrounge up enough to make a down payment on Kaka and pay the rest over time. This is according to a gossip column of course but one can hope.

His heir for sure looks like it, with Hernanes out for next 3 weeks, he may get his chance!

Salamon a replacement for Acerbi, has played most of this season as CD for Brescia, can also play as defensive cover in midfield,

Napoli have Rolando and Radosevic - regista from Hadjuk,

Stekelenburg was on way to Fulham, and Roma try to replace with Viviano - the pressure of his home-club Fiorentina too much - but Roma literally stopped him boarding the jet to London as they couldn't find a replacement! Transfer window shuts in half hour...
