Think it's a bit of a disgrace the whole Gotze thing really. Should not be able to sign players before every competition finishes for the season; it's a small form of match fixing in my book.

Agree. Especially the timing was awful, Bayern announcing it right before Dortmund had to face Real Madrid in the semis, not exactly the easiest task. Considering that, it was very impressive how Dortmund kept their focus and totally dominated Madrid in the first leg.

pity about Götze's injury

Bayern are now overwhelming favourites

still

a Dortmund victory would be sensational and brilliant for German football and the Bundesliga in particular

Bayern are on the international radar anyway and play in a league of their own

Dortmund would take the next step and we would get closer to having a two-team-league just like in Spain

the Bavarian dominance just sucks

but most importantly, we need to see a cracker of a game

hopefully , culminating in penalties

with Robben and Lahm missing theirs

and Weidenfeller scoring the winner Ale

The Bundesliga? Sure. 'German football'? Not necessarily. If those Bayern players experience another crushing defeat, it could cause some serious psychological scars. On the other hand, it would improve the standing of the Dortmund players in the national team. Which of these two factors is more beneficial / harmful? Very difficult to say. Either way, it's definitely positive for German football to have two Bundesliga teams in a CL final.

But even if Bayern manage to pull off the treble, I don't expect them to walk the next season. New coach, other teams will adjust and I do expect Dortmund to come back strong, even if it'll take them some time. They'll invest the money wisely.

I just hope for a great match tonight, a clean and fair match, too. May the best team win. Ale

Im hoping for a Dortmund win. Underdog innit, besides after HSV, they are my favourite team together with Schalke in Germany. Speaking of, for them tonight must be a nightmare match.

Schalke will earn €1m if Bayern win tonight (-> Neuer deal), that's why the Schalke boss is rooting for Bayern.

Why Gotze would want to jump ship from a club as upwardly mobile and downright frickin cool as Dortmund says everything about both the shitty state of the modern club game (fans, pundits and media all bleat on about wanting to see a more competitive landscape, yet they're often the first to call for players at so called 'lesser' clubs to join one of the soulless franchised powerhouses), but for Germans also a wake up call as to why at this stage no one is ready yet to believe a German dominance of club football lies on the horizon. Clearly the cream of Germany still believe they either have to join Bayern or go abroad. Until that trend changes, there is no hope for a Spain or English situation where multiple German clubs stand over the rest. It will always ultimately be Bayern. The c**ts

Perhaps Gotze simply knows when it is time to jump ship. Of course so did Sahin and Kagawa but considering Lewandowski is likely leaving as well he might well be making the right choice although going to Bayern where there is plenty of competition might turn out to be the wrong move.
