Well, I had to get it going. Llorente to Juventus has been known for quite some time but Angel Torres the president of Getafe has announced the first official (that I have heard, at least) signing for the 2013/14 season: Roberto Lago from Celta Vigo. Will add the rest of the teams once the relegation/promotion battles are finalised.

Otherwise, all of the gossip, rumours, and banter for la liga transfers can go here. Ale

Sounds like Albiol to Atletico is a genuine possibility. Bit strange because both Godin and Miranda have been pretty good this season. I would have thought in a year before a WC he would have the best chance to play back at Valencia or even at Malaga.

Hopefully that rules them out of the Jovetic race.

Higuian and Llorente. A La Liga partnership that could be very fruitful. ok

Juve are going to have excellent options if they keep Vucinic and Giovinci as well.

Perhaps but if so it would mostly be for financial reasons. I'm assuming they would want a player in the mould of Jovetic given that Giovinco didn't turn out so well and they would be wise to get such a player but given that Juve tend to be stingy I can't see them blowing the load on Jovetic and especially if they also intend to buy other players for the team.

Mathieu is better defensively than Alba, much better. He has even played well at CB lately. Plus he adds height to the team. I would prefer Filipe Luis as he is younger, but Mathieu is a nice cheap option.

Even if you don't think he is better positioning wise like I do, you have to admit he is much superior psychically to Alba. 192 cm, strong and fast. Alba is a weak little midget who gets bullied against any decent opposition, he was getting thrown around like a rag doll against Bayern. Playing against Bayern or Madrid next season I know who I would rather have in my team. We can't afford having just 3 players (2 CB's and Busquets) in our team who are good in the air, we need a fourth player like we used to have with Abidal. That's why Matheiu will start in the big games ahead of Alba and rightly so.

Matheiu is nearly 30 years old, the fact we are going for him instead of Filipe Luiz indicates he won't be outright replacing Alba like Filipe Luiz would. Both will rotate according to the opposition. So Alba will still be a key member of the squad.

Mathieu obviously has more physical qualities than Alba but in general I think he is pretty shite. Don't forget that Jordi Alba who is also shite at defending displaced him as left back a few years ago and forced Mathieu to play as left wing.

It was only for one season Alba played LB for us, with Matheiu ahead of him. But I think the reason for that happening is not the one you suggest, it was because Alba is not suited to playing LM/LAM, he is much better at having space to run into. So to play both of them in the same team as they where 2 of our better players the best option was to have Alba at LB and Matheiu at LM. That was the season after we sold Mata so we weren't blessed with great options at LM.

Matheiu is definitely better than him defensively IMO, and our need for physicality in our team can't be understated. But I would prefer Filipe Luiz to Matheiu. I think Filipe Luiz is slightly better technically and he is a few years younger.

*Exodus from Malaga this summer to include - Isco, Joaquin, Demichelis, Santa Cruz, Gamez, Toulalan, and Caballero.

*Everton and Fiorentina most likely suitors to land Roberto Soldado

*Chelsea going to offer 25m euro for Khedira - he is the one player Jose is insisting upon! Whoop

*Inter Milan possibly interested in Alvaro Negredo.

*City are in for Kondogbia and Navas (yeah right!)

*In addition to Soldado, Valencia likely to sell Diego Alves, Adil Rami, Fernando Gago, Tino Costa, and Nelson Valdez this summer.

*Deulofeu has just renewed with Barcelona but is being offered to Real Sociedad for a two year loan

*SPORT is confirming that Valdes wants to leave this summer and has already told the club.

*Ancelotti (who says he is staying at PSG yesterday) has requested Pirlo for his new project in Madrid.

Everton have hit a ceiling. They can't do any better than they are currently as money is scarce. Liverpool would be a better bet, or maybe Spurs.

I'm not going to get my hopes up for this. It sounds too crazy.

    Today's gossip:

*Ancelotti wants Borja Valero and Andrea Pirlo for Real Madrid! Footballers! Ale

*Milan want to buy Di Maria, Pepe, Diego Lopez, and Modric.

*Liverpool going to make another bid for Tello this summer.

    *Galatasaray interested in Sevilla's Medel.

*Atletico are making inquiries about Edin Dzeko ahead of the inevitable departure of Radamel Falcao.

*And finally, nobody - and I mean NOBODY - wants Bojan for next season! lol!

Beñat to Athletic could be confirmed as early as tomorrow. Would be a great signing for Athletic.
