Looking at recent transfers from Polish  League, imo Malaga getting Pawlowski done much, much better than Aston Villa getting Tonev, got IMO more talented player for 1/3 of price. Of course I can be totally wrong Laugh

Thanks for the update. Spanish press saying he was going to be in Malaga for a medical but the details of the move were not really clear.

Medical is already completed. Moment after Widzew will get official "Go" from federation he will be presented as Malaga player.

Ah yes, here he is arriving in Malaga.

Now I am going to be really curious to follow his evolution in la liga. ok

Soldado to Spurs is all but official. Still trying to figure out who is paying the agent. But otherwise, it is a done deal. 30m ffs.

The latest roundup....

*Well, Spanish media reporting that the deal for Gareth Bale is done. €120m ffs. There were still reports yesterday of players entering into the deal (Morata, Modric, Coentrao) but it seems like it will be just ca$h.

*Bale's arrival means that there will be a push to sell Di Maria and Coentrao. Rumours about Di Maria have really fallen off. Earlier in the summer PSG and Man Utd were supposedly interested but it's been very quiet lately. Napoli have confirmed interest in Coentrao.

*Chelsea are interested in Khedira. Talking about a €25m bid.

*Real Madrid had been linked with Kondogbia a couple weeks ago. AS even said the deal was basically done and that RM would loan the player back to Sevilla for a year or two. Now it sounds like Juventus are ready to make an offer. Kondogbia is good buddies with Pogba so maybe that is an influence.

*Soldado is off to Tottenham, officially - €30m. Sounds like the replacement will be Helder Postiga. Not sure what his status is, he played in Zaragoza last season (had a good year with 14 goals) but I'm not exactly sure what the status of the ownership of the player. Zaragoza have cut some bizarre deals to get players in the last several seasons with part ownerships and loaning players that are owned by agents, etc. I thought he was at least partly owned by Sporting CP but I guess that will become clear if Valencia do move for him.

*SPORT saying Barcelona have 'finally decided' (translation: settled for after missing their first 5 targets!) on Daniel Agger for centre back.

*After weeks and weeks of thinking that Jonathan Dos Santos was on his way to Real Sociedad he has announced that he is staying in Barcelona. This means that la Real still need midfielders. Seen rumours linking them with Tom Huddlestone and Josh McEacharan. Erm

*West Ham trying to sign Imanol Agirretxe. F*ck him if he leaves to go to West Ham when he could be playing CL football in la Real.

*Benfica trying to sign Diego Alves from Valencia. Valencia have put a €5m price tag on him.

*Getafe have rescinded the contract of Javier Arizmendi.

*Dani Güiza has left Getafe to sign for Cerro Porteño. Of Paraguay. Shocked

*Athletic Bilbao seemed close to signing Mikel Rico but Granada are really insisting on 4m so in the end maybe the move will be off.

*Malaga have signed 19 year old Panama centre back Roberto Chen. Question

*Rayo have signed Argentina centre back Leonel Galeano.

*Sevilla have signed uruguayan midfielder Sebastian Cristoforo out of Peñarol. Had a pretty good U20 WC I guess so maybe they are preparing for losing Kondogbia or Medel.

*Levante have said they are still looking to sign two players: a striker and a winger.

I reckon they'll put a deal in place but not sign until they know more about suarez. Basically they don't want to be doing an andy carroll on on the last day of the transfer window.

Diego Costa isn't worth anywhere near that. It'd only be good money for Agleti however if they suitably reinvest that, which I don't think will happen, so they'd be better of keeping him.

A lot of mid range players departing for the EPL again. No one exceptional, but all good, solid players. A shame as it all seems one way, and it's actually a sad indictment of both leagues. For La Liga a financial one, and for the EPL, the fact that they can't find a similar level of quality internally (lack of British talent). As I said, your Soldado's, Negredo's etc aren't top tier. But it nevertheless remains a talent drain, as Barca and Madrid aside the league isn't really bringing anyone in of note.

What's strange is that you have the likes of Campana leaving Sevilla for a club like Crystal Palace. Again, not an exceptional talent by any stretch, but he's a decent prospect and one ideal for a club like Sevilla. He'll struggle at Palace for a number of reasons and will probably end up at Getafe in a season or two.

I'm also amazed that Villarreal have let De Guzman continue on loan at Swansea. I know he hardly set the world alight in his spell with the club, but he's done we'll at Swansea and is now a full international. I can't see what they're getting out of it by letting him remain on loan. They're hardly flush with numbers.

Today's roundup!

*Esteban Granero looks like he is set to move to Real Sociedad. Biggest obstacle is who will pay what percentage of his wages.

*Betis have signed Xavi Torres which will most likely be the last signing for Pepe Mel but this reinforces their centre of midfield nicely.

*Miguel Torres has left Getafe to sign with Olympiacos headed by his ex-boss Michel Gonzalez. Lots of Spanish players going to Greece these days, why I have no idea.

*Malaga trying to loan Jose Rodriguez from RM Castilla but Zidane really wants to keep him in the second team. I think it would be great for him to go and get experience in Primera personally.

*Alberto Bueno has signed for Rayo. Will be interesting to see if he ever gets his head on straight.

*Helder Postiga has signed with Valencia to replace Roberto Soldado. Not sure how he will work out but he scored a decent number of goals for a pretty sh!t Zaragoza team last season.

*Elche have signed Colombian midfielder Carlos Sanchez.

*Atletico are pushing hard to sign Moya as a back up for Courtois after selling Robles and buying back Roberto only to loan him out again!

*Diego Lugano who was on loan at Malaga (with an option to buy) has signed for West Brom ffs! La liga is of very little interest to players these days.

*Mikel Rico to Athletic is back on! He has not made a single appearance for Granada in the preseason so maybe the two clubs are closer to an agreement.

*Levante have signed someone called Nong. ok

*Sevilla sign Uruguayan central midfielder Sebastian Cristoforo for 1m euro. Should help make up for the loss of Gary Medel. Cristoforo might even be better in the long run. Medel had a terrible disciplinary record.

*Celta Vigo have signed Jon Aurtentxe on loan from Athletic. Strange turn of events for Aurtenetxe who had performed so well during Bielsa's first season. But Valverde signed Mikel Balenziaga and then promoted Enric Saborit (a catalan ffs!!!!!!). For me Aurtenetxe is better than both of them but it will work out well for Celta.

*Elche are close to signing Javi Marquez from relegated Mallorca. He'd moved there last season after falling out in Espanyol but I think Mallorca need to reduce the wages a bit and Marquez is definitely a 1st division player. Will help Elche a lot if he can regain his form from 2-3 years ago.

*Real Sociedad still working on bringing Esteban Granero back from England but apparently it will require the player to take a pay cut. Would seem like a no brainer: stay in England to play in the Championship or have a crack at the Champions League with la Real. Should be a decision tomorrow though.

*Valencia supposedly interested in Lukaku if Jose decides to let him go on loan for another year. Starting to get crowded though with Postiga, Jonas, and Paco Alcacer but I suppose they could do with some quality regardless.

*Villarreal are signing brasilian defender Gabriel from Vitoria for about 3m euro. Know nothing about him. He doesn't even have a wikipedia page ffs!!!! Biggrin

*Betis have finished their summer signings by adding Xavi Torres from Getafe. Was supposed to be a big deal but has gone from midtable club to midtable club. Maybe he'll find a home in Betis.

Good money for Medel. I like him, but largely because of his character. He's an absolute terrier on the pitch and always gives his all. But he's incredibly limited on the ball, and he's far too reckless. Still Sevilla to Cardiff, a bit of a drop.

I imagine Kondogbia will stay now. They're pretty thin on CM's with Medel and Campana off. i wonder if they'll drop Rakitic deeper. Eitherway, I expect they'll bring another body in. That's 3 first choice players Sevilla have sold now, and a backup prospect as well, but I actually think for the first time in a few seasons they've actually bought very well (Vitolo, Jairo, Marin, Gameiro, Baca, Bryan) I think will all be good purchases.

I think they have caught everyone's eye with the friendly against Man Utd the other day. Marin has been very impressive. Central midfield is thin. Kondogbia, Cristoforo (just signed), Maduro (shit), is really all. But lots of attacking midfielders that can create danger. I still think the big question is whether they will adequately replace Negredo's goals.

A few more odds and ends:

*Atletico have signed Dani Aranzubia. They were going after Miguel Angel Moya to be the backup for Courtois but Getafe could not find a replacement so they broke off negotiations. In the meantime, Deportivo are basically willing to sell anyone. Still a good goalkeeper, will suit Atletico perfectly.

*Agger's agent has come out and said that Barcelona have made an offer for the Liverpool defender. SPORT saying that it was in the neighborhood of 17m euro but it was rejected by Liverpool.

*Levante trying everything to get rid of El Zhar. Maybe Rafa still has a little bit of the Cavani money left! Laughing

*Del Nido has come out to say that Kondogbia is not for sale. Kondogbia has come out to say that "anything can happen". Laughing

lol! @ Agger!

Yeah, I saw that rumour about Dani Alves as well. I wouldn't be surprised because Rosell isn't the smartest....I feel sorry for Tata. Actually, I don't!

Today's roundup:

*Looks like Pellegrini is still fishing for a new centreback. He still wants Pepe but Ancelotti doesn't want to sell the Portuguese defender. Apparently the backup plan is Demichelis who Pellegrini had at Malaga. Of course Demichelis just signed on a free with Atletico but I guess he has not played an official match yet so he could move.

*After all of the rumours linking Diego Costa to Liverpool, the Brazilian forward has just signed a new deal extending his contract with Atletico through the year 2018.

*Apparently Pablo Piatti is on his way to Rennes in France. Had some good years in Almeria but never really looked the part after moving to Valencia. The rumoured fee is 2,5m euro.

*Real Sociedad had signed Esteban Granero on loan. Not sure if there is an option to buy. He won't replace Illarra one for one as they have different styles of play but he will give a lot of good experience to la Real for the CL run.

*Rayo Vallecano have signed Peruvian midfield Christian Cueva, 21 year old attacking midfielder. Had been playing in Chile previously. No information on the details of the transfer.

*Seems like Sami Khedira is excess to requirements in the RM midfield (what have we been saying for years>?!?!?!?!?). Been rumoured for a couple weeks now that Jose wanted to take him to Chelsea. Now, there is a story that Real Madrid have offered him to PSG as well. With Modric, Illarra, Alonso and the eruption of Casemiro there is just no room for the facking runner!

*Atletico being linked with Adem Ljajic from Fiorentina in the case that Adrian is sold (being linked with Valencia, and of course, various english clubs).

*Malaga are hoping that Jose will be sending Lukaku on loan, they are still in the market for a striker but can't afford to buy anyone. Also been linked with Tim Matavz from PSV.

*Aly Cissokho being linked with a move to Sunderland. I can't remember how much Valencia paid for him last year but it seems like Bernat (doing his best Jordi Alba impression) is the favourite to play at left back. Plus they have Mathieu and Guardado who can play there so that might make Cissokho expendable.

Jaime - apparently Jagiellonia Bialystok is officially appealing decision allowing Pawlowski to leave for Malaga and because of that he will miss first two games (against Barcelona and Valencia) despite playing well in friendly against Aston Villa.

The latest gossip!

*Marca claiming that there are 4 areas of concern for Atletico going into the last two weeks of the transfer market: a centreback if Demichelis leaves for City, a centre midfielder, an attacking midfielder, and a forward should Adrian depart. The defense is set but there rumours that Pellegrini really wants Demichelis are growing. The club would not be opposed from an economic standpoint since the Argentine arrived for free and they could sell him for a quick profit. But they would need to find a replacement fast. In the centre of midfield they have Tiago, Mario Suarez, and Gabi but they still have not come up with a plan B since Toulalan decided to go back to France. Capoue was the other option but now he is going to Spurs I think. They have Oliver as an attacking midfielder but I think they want another player as well. Ljajic is the name that comes up most recently. Supposedly Fiorentina want 10m for him. And if Adrian leaves then they would probably need to find another forward despite having Villa, Diego Costa and Leo Baptistao.

*Sevilla trying to sign Vicente Iborra from Levante to replace Medel. They have offered 5m but Levante countered with the player's buyout clause which is 6m.

*Villarreal have confirmed the signing of Gabriel Paulista from Vitoria de Bahia.

*Valencia's president has said the club will be signing another forward. The club has already taken in close to 40m from the sales of Soldado, Tino Costa, and Nelson Valdez plus they are hoping to get close to another 5 from the sales of Piatti and Cissokho.

*Elche have officially signed Javi Marquez on a 1 year loan.

*Apparently since Man Utd failed to get Cesc, they have offered 46,5m euro for Mesut Ozil.

*Di Maria being linked with PSG again. That was the rumour much earlier in the summer but it seemed to die off. Both Ancelotti and the player have said he is staying but obviously it will depend on what ends up happening with Bale.

*Since Barcelona keep getting the Salute from everyone they try to buy a defender from, they have got three new targets. Otamendi and Mangala from Porto and Bisevac from Lyon. Porto will rape them for either of their players so I hope that is what they go for.

*Ex-Villarreal striker Marco Ruben who left for Dinamo Kiev after the Yellow Submarine was relegated may return to Spain with Elche making inquiries.

*Granada left back Guilherme Siqueira who was being linked with a move to RM to cover the departing Coentrao is now being linked with a move to Liverpool.

Man United wouldn't be a bad destination for Özil actually. But United don't sign Germans, so I don't think the rumour is true.

I would wait to see if Isco can outperform Ozil before considering selling Ozil. Unless of course we get somebody like Mata or Silva in which case we should sell. Especially Mata since he is the same age as Ozil and better imo. But I don't see that happening unless Mourinho decides to ditch Mata after this season. But I don't get this transfer for Man Utd because they already have Kagawa who they will give a chance and their big problem is in central midfield.

He would be a pointless transfer, even more than Kagawa was last season. United needs to buy someone who can play deeper (CM in 4-2-3-1/4-3-33/4-4-2), like Modric and not a final third player like Ozil. With Fabregas there would be an option to move him back a little bit, don't see a chance to do it with Ozil.

And if we are talking about Germans, if Guardiola will stick to his plan of not using Schweinsteiger then United should try and get him Smile. He would fit perfectly.

Not using Schweinsteiger? He was a starter on his favoured #6 position ever since he came back from injury. Totally unrealistic transfer anyway, for a number of reasons.

I know that Man United need a CM more than they need a AM, just wanted to say that I could see him doing well for them, as he'd fit into their philosophy / playing style.

Come on, Stinger is just hoping that Man U go for Schweinsteiger so they leave Fellaini alone! Wink

Any update on this? I saw he played the entire game against Villa so I think Bernardo Schuster is really counting on him.
