Fontas signs for Celta Vigo (aka the Getafe of Barcelona).

Valencia have resigned Michel from cross town rivals Levante.

Well it seems that the highly esteemed WPOTY Ever Banega is finally going to get his big transfer, taking his truly world class talents to a club that will be a true showcase for his ability:

Thank god I got off the Banega bandwagon. Although he is good enough for Valencia imo.

I expect to see your retraction of your outrageous comment on Valencia by the end of this afternoon's Confed Cup match or curses will be issued. The Custodians are itching to issue a curse or two (hundred). You have been warned.GrrGrrGrr

Todays news and gossip:

*Well, the big one - Isco signs for Real Madrid! I would take Isco over 100 Neymars. AS reporting a fee of 30m, Marca have it at 24m + 3m in incentives. Will be presented officially after Ancelotti is unveiled as the new manager.

*Courtois will be rejoining Atletico on loan next year. A lot of people were saying Jose wanted him for Chelsea but apparently he will get another year of grooming (plus some CL experience) with the rojiblancos.

*More Atletico news - they are getting closer to signing Negredo. The two clubs have been negotiating for four days. Sevilla, apparently, want Saul included in the deal.

*Valladolid have signed Colombian right back Gilberto Alcatraz. Valladolid have a pretty long history with Colombians including Valderrama, Leonel Alvarez, Higuita, Congo so we'll see how he measures up.

*Piti to Granada is official. Not a glamourous name but he is a good player.

*Real Sociedad are looking to bring in another striker in addition to Agirretxe. Joseba Llorente was on loan last year but is considering retirement and Ifran is pretty average. La Real's first choice is Matias Suarez from Anderlecht. Rumour is he would cost about 9m euro.

*Levante have signed Murcia goalkeeper Javi Jimenez on a free transfer.

*Promoted Elche have made an offer for Pablo Sarabia. Sarabia obviously has talent but suffering from a bit of the Dani-Parejo-syndrome thinking that he is too good to have to work hard just because he came from Real Madrid. Hope he gets his head on right.

*Sevilla have signed Racing's 19 year old midfielder Jairo. 2,5m euro apparently.

*Joan Verdu has a bunch of offers from abroad but Betis is hoping that he can come and replace Benat who will surely be moving to Athletic now that their managerial situation has been sorted out.

*Celta Vigo trying to sign Las Palmas midfielder Vitolo. Also still rumours that they could sign Oriol Romeu (another of Jose's Spanish castoffs)

Today's news & gossip:

*Beñat to Athletic is now official. Had been rumoured to be a done deal weeks ago but then everything paused until Athletic could unveil Bielsa's replacement.

*Barcelona are renewing Rafinha's contract....but plan to loan him out! wave

*Genoa are in for Sevilla's Alberto Botia. Apparently Unai Emery doesn't like him. Not sure who he does like though because the rest of Sevilla's centre backs are shit.

*Was looking like Sergio Ballesteros from Levante was finally going to retire after Levante didn't renew his contract but now he might be off to MLS in America to play for a few more years.

*Bursaspor from Turkey are trying to sign Villarreal's Uche. Apparently Marcelino wants him to stay and he does have two years left on his contract but if the Turks come up with an offer of 3-4m the club will probably sell.

*Celta Vigo have signed Charles from promoted Almeria to replace Liverpool bound Iago Aspas.

*Malaga negotiating with ex-Valencia, ex-Rayo striker Alejandro 'Chori' Dominguez who is available on a free transfer.

*Sevilla have announced that in addition to Botia, they are trying to sell 9 other players this summer: Javi Varas, Spahic, Alexis, Bernardo, Maduro, Hervas, Manu del Moral, Baba, and Stefanovic.

*Espanyol trying to loan Javi Hervas from Sevilla. Hervas came from Cordoba I think last year but he never really broke into the team and obviously does not sound like he is in Emery's plans.

*Valencia have said the only player who isn't for sale is Roberto Soldado. Yikes

*Espanyol have sold Jordi Amat to fucking Swansea for 3m euro. Such a shame that the top young players would prefer a move to a mediocre Premiership team than somewhere like Valencia or Atletico but what can you do? Probably will be more Spanish players in the EPL next year than English!

*Raul Baena who left Espanyol on a free has signed with Rayo Vallecano.

*Atletico have been pursuing Diego yet again but it sounds like Wolfsburg aint selling (again!). Atletico are also interested in Osvaldo (ex-Espanyol) from Roma but Man City are also in the mix so probably they will come away empty handed.

*Athletic Bilbao have signed Valladolid left back Mikel Balenziaga. Of course Balenziaga is from Athletic originally but left to find playing time but has now returned. Athletic are still going to need to find a basque striker somewhere or they are going to be in big trouble again next year.

*Getafe made Pedro Leon's deal permanent but they may be selling him on as Sevilla are interested in the winger as a possible replacement for Jesus Navas.

*Demichelis had been linked with a move back to River Plate but then the possibility of going to Atletico seemed to cool those rumours but now it seems like it's back on. Julio Baptista also looks like he is returning to South America with Inter de Porto Alegre ready to offer him a big contract and of course Malaga are eager to sell. Toulalan is the other Malaga player who will probably be leaving in the next weeks with Atletico and Rennes chasing the centre midfielder.

*Looked like Muniesa was definitely signing with Real Sociedad but Elche are trying to hijack the deal at the last minute before the player is out of contract on 30 June.

*David Barral could be returning from Turkey to sign with Levante. Supposedly he just has to pass the medical and he will sign.

*Sevilla centre back Bernardo has left on a free and signed with Sporting Gijon.

*The future WPOTY Jonathan Dos Santos has taken his Barza DNA and signed with Anderlecht!!! Laughing

*De Guzman is going to stay on loan at Swansea despite Villarreal's return to Primera. Villarreal have shown interest in Argentinian players Guido Pizarro (Lanus) and Lucas Orban (Tigre) to reinforce the squad for next year.

*Valladolid have signed Zakarya Bergdich!!! cheers

*Agirretxe and De la Bella have still not signed new deals which could be a big problem for la Real heading into their CL campaign next year. De la Bella for sure looked like he would be offered a new deal and Agirretxe with his performances down the stretch was a sure bet too. If they don't sign then la Real will have to big holes in the starting XI.

*Ancelotti's main priority is a midfielder (thank god!!!!!!!). The shortlist includes Illarramendi, Vidal, Pirlo, Gundogan, Verratti, Kondogbia, and Paulinho. Illarramendi really does it all and apparently Ancelotti liked him at the U21 Euro. The big problem is would la Real sell one of their most important players? Probably not for less than his buyout (25m). Vidal is supposedly Ancelotti's preferred option but Juventus is a big club and they are not going to sell him easily or cheaply. Probably impossible. Pirlo is great but he is old and again, I don't see Juve selling him. Dortmund have alreayd said they are not selling Gundogan which is fine by me. PSG have said they don't want to sell Verratti and it sounds like Florentino who already pushed the envelope to sign Ancelotti doesn't want to make enemies with PSG. Paulinho is the interesting case, the fee seems reasonable although it will probably go up after the Confed Cup. He was close to Tottenham but said he will wait to decide until after the final on Sunday. Kondogbia is probably the cheapest option (8,5m I think is his buyout) and he is good buddies with Varane but I his passing is not really an improvement over Khedira even though physically speaking he is a beast.

*Sounds like Callejon is going to be part of the official bid for Cavani. Benitez likes him a lot for his work rate and his goalscoring abilities on the wing. I've heard 50m + Callejon will be the offer.

Just seen off of twitter that Sevilla are loaning Marko Marin for a year. No surprise he is not in Chelsea's plans, he is not a Jose type player. Sevilla had been linked in a move to sign Giovani Dos Santos but maybe now he won't be a target.

A little news and gossip for everyone:

*Bojan, the prodigal son of la masia, is not wanted at Milan or Roma or Farsa themselves (surprise, surprise). Betis have contacted him about an offer but somehow Bojanito thinks he is above the Europa League. Ajax are interested and Parma too supposedly. Probably will end up at Reading with TBW. Stayed tuned to see how this drama unfolds!!!! bounce

*Nolito has signed with Celta Vigo. Luis Enrique seems determined to turn them into Barcelona Athletic. Laughing

*Marca reporting that Toulalaln is heading back to France to join the "project" at Monaco. The fee is 5m euro which seems rather small but Malaga are probably not in the best position to negotiate after basically saying that everyone is for sale.

*Tottenham offering 20m euro for Roberto Soldado. Yikes

*Sao Paulo are also trying to buy a Valencia striker, offering 6m for Jonas. Not sure what Valencia paid for him (very little as I recall) so getting 6m at this stage wouldn't be too bad.

*Sevilla are lining up Kevin Gameiro to replace Alvaro Negredo who looks set to sign with Atletico later this week.

*Sounds like Kike Sola to Athletic Bilbao is a done deal. 4m euro. Still not convinced that he is going to be an adequate replacement for Llorente.

*Another Llorente, Joseba, has left Real Sociedad on a free.

*Nicolas Pareja could be returning to la liga! Always liked him when he was at Espanyol. Went to Russia for the CA$$$$$$$H but now he could be on his way back to Spain. Reportedly, Sevilla are trying to sign him on loan with an option to buy.

*AS still running with the Matic story as a potential signing for Real Madrid. They are suggesting that Garay (for whom Benfica still have a pending sum of money to pay) and even Coentrao could figure into the deal.

*Barcelona going to offer 32m euro for Thiago 'the new Chygrynskiy" Silva. PSG will laugh in their faces. ok

*Villarreal interested in Bojan Jokic, defender from Chievo Verona. Only heard of him on Football Manager.

*Roma offering 2m euro for Diego Alves. I would be surprised if he stays at Valencia. Vicente Guaita is probably about as good and on much lower wages having come from the youth team so I think Valencia will cash in on a decent offer.

*Kaka says that he will talk to Ancelotti when he returns to Madrid for preseason training but that he "wants" to stay at Real Madrid. Grr

*Rumours that Monchi has been at a lot of the U20 World Cup matches to try and find the new Dani Alves, Julio Baptista, etc. #whendidhelosehismagictouch

1m or 1.5m euros, as he had awfully low release clause in his previous club in Brazil.

Run down of today's comings and goings...

*Illarramendi is a done deal. AS reporting that RM is paying the full buyout, Marca claiming that the two clubs are still negotiating on the price. Either way, Illarra is going to be a Real Madrid player.

*The might Bojan is on his way to play for Fey's great nemisis - a one year loan to Ajax (Barcelona's Getafe!!!!)

*Rafinha probably going on loan to Celta Vigo (the other Getafe of Barcelona!!!!) to reunited with Lucho.

*In other Barcelona loan (the kiss of death in Can Farza) news - Deulofeu is probably on his way to England, Spurs and Everton the favourites to take him on for a one year loan.

*To calm down Super, Benfica and Madrid are negotiating for Matic. Coentrao and/or Garay could enter into the operation. I think Benfica still owe us for half of Garay (6m + incentives) so it might knock the price down a few million. I guess I would be surprised if Coentrao goes back to Portugal but so far no offers from the EPL which was seeming like the most likely destination, especially Jose's Chelsea. Plus Jorge Jesus has come out saying how much he wants Coentrao back so maybe there is something to it.

*Valencia signing Oriol Romeu on loan from Chelsea. Not sure if there is an option to buy but this is a good signing for Valencia considering they have lost Albelda and Tino Costa already this summer.

*Villarreal have signed ex-Mallorca midfielder Tomas Pina.

*Valladolid have signed young Villarreal goalkeeper Diego Mariño.

*Elche have made two loan signings from Sevilla - Manu del Moral (good player but never really found his feet) and Stefanovic (was supposed to be kind of a big deal but didn't see much action).

*Jose Angel is returning to la Real on loan for another year. Questions about whether or not De la Bella will stay on so he could well become the first choice otherwise he will be good depth again this year.

*Man City are returning to negotiate for Pepe. The magic number seems to be 25m euro. To get 25m for him at this stage of his career after paying 30m initially back in 2007 is a pretty decent piece of business.

*Gay Assulin has made a triumphant return to Spanish football signing for Granada. Another superclass from la masia (Barsa DNA and all!). Must have failed at Man City because he turned up at Racing Santander. But Granada are so keen on the 22 year old's talent that they have already announced he'll be leaving on loan! Laughing

*Getafe winger Adel Barrada looks like he will be leaving this summer. Angel Torres gave it a 99% chance of him going. Oddly, he is probably going to the middle east rather than to England or Italy. Looks like Getafe have signed Sergio Escudero from Schalke though. Still trying to get Fede Fernandez on loan from Napoli as well.

*Levante trying to sign Marouane Chamakh. Whatever happened to that guy?

*Malaga have signed someone called Bobley Anderson. I'm serious!!!!!!

*They are also negotiating with Atletico for the signing of Cata Diaz. First Cata was going back to Getafe, then he was going back to Argentina, but all of those negotiations have broken off. Would be a good replacement for Demichelis.

*Rayo have announced that Jose Manuel Casado is leaving on a free. Pretty decent left back. Probably will end up at Swansea ffs!!!

*Nico Pareja has signed on loan with Sevilla. Good signing. ok Unfortunately for Del Nido, Man City are going to deposit another 25m into the coffers for Negredo but that means Sevilla will have exactly zero goalscoring next year.

Rumours here are Levy pissed them off with his haggling. This may have been a legitimate 'f*ck you!' as a result.

Sounds like they also built in a 50% signing on fee into the package, and graded payments over 3 year totalling about 6million GBP, still, don't understand why we couldn't afford that!

So glad that he has f*cked off outta B*rcelona. That move never suited him. Good news for the national team as well because Atletico will no doubt play him as the centre forward and make him the main man which will hopefully get him back into his old scoring form before the WC. Now, he could be finished, but at least this way we will see for sure.

F*cking hell I've just read the details of the transfer!!!!

Atletico have only paid 2,1m euro for David Villa. They will owe another 2m if Villa stays with Atletico for the 2014/15 season, and then they would owe 1m in addition if Villa renews his contract for a further year in 2015/16.

So it is a maximum of 5,1m! After paying 40m for him 3 years ago. They do have a clause where they get 50% of any fee should Atletico sell Villa (they won't). But still, even kas would have a difficult time finding a way to depreciate that! Biggrin

Poor Laporta. He must be feeling...

It might have been a meaningless goal in a meaningless exhibition but it was enough to alert us all to the latest in the long line of next great things. His name is Bojan Krkic and he scored for Barcelona in their 4-0 win over Egypt’s Al-Alhy in an exhibition match earlier this week. When our Barcelona blog says he a player is good and Reuters calls the same player the new Leo Messi, well then he can’t possibly be anything but the future.
Who is Bojan Krkic? He is a 16-year-old Serbo-Spanish striker who joined Barcelona’s youth team in 1999 and proceeded to score 889 goals in seven years if you are to believe the reports. That number is impressive enough, but the hype really began when he chose to play for Spain’s U17 team at the European Championships in 2006 and he ended up being the joint top-scorer despite being used as a reserve player.
Krkic, who is sometimes called Bojan Krkic-Perez by the Spanish media, comes from a family with a football backing. His father, also named Bojan, played for Belgrade Red Star in the 1980s before leaving for Spain where his son was born and where he took a gig as a scout for Barcelona.
Krkic is said to have excellent ball skills, great speed and a knack for finishing.

Today's news and gossip:

*Joel Robles signs for Everton. No details on the transfer fee as yet. He had a good season with Wigan last year under Martinez so I guess it makes sense. Atletico must be very confident that they are going to be able to sign Courtois permanently though for them to sell Robles. Nobody has any faith in Asenjo of course so if they can't keep Courtois after this year they could be f*cked.

*Sevilla have paid 7m for Carlos Bacca from Club Brugge. So if Negredo leaves they have a 'replacement' and if not they have added some depth up front. Never heard of this guy. Colombian international, I guess.

*Chelsea rejected a 35m euro bid from Barcelona for David Luiz. Rosell is really going to get raped chasing after a defender. Laughing

*And Pito might have to look for a SECOND centre back with Puyol on the verge of retirement because of injuries and Pique thinking about quitting football to join the World Series of Poker:

*Malaga searching for a centre forward. Being linked heavily with Bendtner. Roque Santa Cruz has signed an extension but he hasn't exactly been prolific.

*Granada have signed 19 year old brasilian left back Douglas Santos from Club Náutico Capibaribe. Wonder if this means they are going to cash in on Guilherme Siqueira this summer.

*Mexico striker Nery Castillo signing with Rayo Vallecano tomorrow

*So now the story is that there has not been a formal offer for Higuain from Arsenal and that Ancelotti really wants him to stay. Would be a pretty remarkable turn around after Higuain basically said that he felt his time in Madrid was over after the last league game a couple months ago.

*Fernando Gago will be moving back to Boca Juniors for 1,5m euro according to Super Deporte.

Does it make you a bit of an arrogant twat if you name your son after yourself? I've always wondered why people do it.

Just imagine introducing your family somewhere:
Bojan: Hi, I'm Bojan. This is my son Bojan and this is my daughter, Bojana [ok slight exaggeration to emphasise the point].
Other person: Er, Hi [what a dickhead this guy is ...]
