Ribery scores a fine header. Müller is such an important player for Bayern, he really makes the difference.

Robben scores a great goal, great run and nice finish with his weaker right foot. 2-0!

The other Bundesliga matches today have been damn awesome btw.

What has Robben's injury record been like at Bayern? Is he still made out of glass or has he had better luck with the niggling injuries behind him?

He has been far less often injured ever since he joined Bayern.

Bayern's medical facilities are top notch, Dr. Müller-Wohlfahrt a world-renowned orthopaedic and sports medicine specialist is in charge of it.

50 years of Bundesliga! Magic

On August 24th 1963, the first Bundesliga matches kicked off. HSV is the only club that was amongst the founding clubs and that has never been relegated ever since. Werder Bremen has been relegated once in 1980/81, but came back the season after and hence is second placed in this regard with 50 Bundesliga seasons (this season included). Bayern joined the Bundesliga later on (they were actually a rather small club back then) and has 49 seasons in the top flight, like Stuttgart.

May it long continue!

Actually, I posted it for the number of seasons each club has been in the 1.Bundesliga. But good that you mention that HSV is 8 points behind us (and by the way things are going this season, it's growing...), knowing that we spend one season less in the top flight but are still ahead of them... Ale

When I hit der Relativ knopp, it says that Dortmund is 2nd. Shows you the perspective ey! Especially cause they have a few years less then you. Nontheless  imagine how competative the Bundesliga would be without Bayern, though it's likely some other club would have taken their place.

How good is Szalai these days? I didn't realise he went to Schalke. But he was in RM Castilla for a year only I think. He did pretty well but then moved back to Germany. People were calling him the Hungarian van Nistelrooy. Biggrin

Anyhow, I just saw he scored twice against PAOK today and wondered if he was legit.

He was pretty decent for Mainz,  especially in the breakout season of him,  Schürrle and Holtby,  the "Bruchweg Boys" attacking trident that rocked the league and made Mainz under their young coach Tuchel the surprise team of the season. Holtby's and Schürrle's careers took off earlier and they moved to greener pastures,  while Szalai staid in Mainz a while longer and now moved to Schalke.

While Mainz under their very talented manager Tuchel continue to punch over their weight and comfortably stay in the upper half of the table,  they lose key players every season and hence can't really challenge for the European spots on a regular basis. Hence his move to Schalke where he'll experience CL football with a young and very talented team is a wise career choice. He saved the day tonight with his goals and is getting much of the praise. Good way to make a positive first impression.

Vereinslose Fußballer - Hochverdient und ohne Job

Pretty depressing, considering where some of them were a few years ago. (I might have even felt a twinge of sympathy for David Odonkor... Embarassed  )

Boateng is a good transfer for Schalke,  he's a serious upgrade to that talentless imbecile Jones. He'll strengthen their midfield.

Only in the Bundesliga...

Stuttgart were über-crap so far this season while Hoffenheim were surprisingly strong, and then this. Unpredictability. Ale

If Dortmund were more clinical, they'd be the best team in the world. That's one major weakness they have to work on (as do Bayern under Pep btw.), they simply waste too many chances.

Still, it's going to be a Herculian challenge for Pep to beat this hungry Dortmund side to the Bundesliga title this season. Klopp Ale

Und der nächste:

Thomas Hitzlsperger beendet seine Karriere
http://www.dfb.de/index.php?id=511739&tx_dfbnews_pi1[showUid]=46427&tx_dfbnews_pi4[cat]=56
