Soldado is an exciting prospect, he just needs time to learn his trade. People perhaps have inflated expectations of him because he cost £28 million, but he is still young. He won't turn 30 until next season and how many 5 ft 10 strikers flourish in their twenties? In the EPL? Not many, that's how many. Maybe Darius Vassell, but he was very short and very fast for a 5 ft 10 striker. My point is, he's not as bad as Emmanuel Adebayor and he's not as old as Adebayor or Defoe, or even Michael Dawson. And isn't that worth something? Andriy Shevchenko only scored 9 league goals for Chelsea and he won the Ballon d'or. It's far too early to start calling him the Jewish Afonso Alves. Shut up. When did Rebrov or Pavlyuchenko ever score a hat trick in such a big game?

And anyone who describes Erik Lamela as the new Jonathan Blondel is clearly deluded. Jonathan Blondel didn't lose Tottenham that much money. When they hand out the trophy for net spend, no one in their right mind is going to be thinking about Jonathan Blondel.

and possible Juve-Fiorentina game.

Though UEFA should avoid same country games until the quarter finals.

Juve - Fiorentiona and Porto -Napoli is also possible. Tottenham with another far away trip.

I think to save the europe league you should fuse two teams on each side. So make that one team of Basel and Maccabi (each with 5 field players from their team) vs a combined team of Ajax and RB Salzburg. Now that I would watch, ffs!  Smile

Yeah, they'll probably have 2 draws against Trabzonspor & go out on away goals or penalties.
