This is perhaps the first time I've ever seen two hyped players before a game actually, do it, and perform.

Sakho doing his best Lilian Thuram impression. Still get the feeling France could get Bulgariaed before it's all over. Ukraine went close just a minute before.

Right result. I'd much rather see France in WC than Ukraine, and Portugal are always good value for money.

A bit of a dilemma for gooners though - qualification will keep Giroud, Kos and Sagna on their toes for the rest of the season, none of them are guaranteed starters for France currently, but they'll be knackered at the start of next season.

In the end, its ok to have France instead of Ukraine. More interesting tournament then, more drama.

But feel a bit sorry nonetheless for Ukraine.

Difference between Ronaldo and Zlatan was the fact that Ronaldo has other players who could play footy. Zlatan got zero balls from his teammates in 180 min. Which was expected.

all in all, it seems that all the top countries in the world made it. Scandinavia had a massive fail, but otherwise I can't think of a single important country who is missing. hopefully makes for a good world cup Ale

Crazy. You never met people called Ronaldo irl, but then you watch soccer and two of the best players of all time are called Ronaldo and another one Ronaldino ffs. Watch out for the US to get Ronald McDonald into their team now.

Excited for the World Cup should be quiet the show. Expect France to be a team now. Getting closer at the top.
